Not really I mean against Kawhi or even Beverly and Marcus Smart, Blake Griffin, Tim Duncan, Boris Dias, I could name players all day, Draymond, Steph, Klay, and Iggy make him look better than he actually is. He had Westbrook, Harden and a ton of talent still couldn’t beat the Heat, Chris Bosh and Prime LeBron shut him down. If you put any good player on a good team you have a high chance of winning, I mean look at the Raptors they have Lin as their 3rd string PG and Ibaka coming off the bench, it’s obvious that KD depended highly on others to be successful. Dirk Nowitizski did what KD did a million times better, but I say Tracy McGrady was the greatest shot creator of all time, their was a game that is legendary between the Mavericks and Rockets where Nowitzski and McGrady went for 50 a piece and it came down to the wire. Tracy McGrady never had a good team, his only other all star was Yao Ming, and like Steve Nash and Karl Malone he eventually went to the Magic and rotted out his career on a team that would never win. Regardless he made it to the Finals and may have not won a ring like Dirk, but give Tracy McGrady Jason Kidd, Marion, Jason Terry, and he’ll three peat.

Not necessarily. As creative of a scorer Tracy was, he never worked on his game in manner in which he could slow himself down and get easy go to buckets. Look at Kawhi's game right now. He can just be slow and methodical and get whatever shot he wants on the floor. As creative as T-Mac was as a scorer, he was never a guy that could be methodical in terms of getting whatever he wanted on the floor while simultaneously getting other players better. He was a great scorer, but I think Durant is a better scorer. And Jordan is better than them both.

I rather take 35 from Steph than 35 from Durant because Curry's gravity and shooting get you a higher win, gets teammates easy buckets like Durant and Klay and Curry is the focal point for the defense, not Durant. That's why 35 from Curry means he beats you in the third quarter and rest, not Durant. Durant Isolating suffocates the offense and for @ By Any Means Basketball, You don't talk about YOU CAN DOUBLE TEAM Durant and because he sucks at getting a pass for his height, then you can get a steal. as a 6'10 SF who can basically guard 2 through 4 with ease. and some 1s and 5s. He is basically a swiss army knife. Can fit into almost any team.

In my opinion Kevin Durant is easily the best scorer of all time, his offensive and defensive game are both perfect. In todays basketball people are talking about position-less games and players who can play all 5 positions, but Kevin Durant is the only player I have ever seen who can actually play all 5 positions. He's large enough to play center and quick enough to play a point guard, no other player has that ability. I believe Kevin Durant could be the GOAT, his skills are second to none, and his body is perfect for the game. The only reason I don't consider him the goat is because of his mental toughness, he hasn't really shown to be a leader on the court and he has backed down in situations where he needed to step up his game and dominate. Him going to golden state was probably the weakest thing I have ever seen an NBA player do. That being said Kevin Durant is my favorite player and he is still playing the game, I hope he can come back as good as he was before and become the leader I know he can and lead the nets to multiple championships, if he can prove that he is as mentally tough as Micheal Jordan or Kobe Bryant or LeBron James then I will call him the GOAT. If not then he is still the best scorer of all time, which isn't that bad of a title to hold.

In terms of pure ability and versatile, then KD is defintely the best ever.
But it's what you've done that matters more, Jordan just has more volume on similar efficiency to KD. Also check his efficiency in the 2016 playoffs to his 2017 playoffs. Playing with Curry and Klay and the Warriors has taken him to new heights.
Also most guys here comparing KD's career so far to Jordan's full career, Jordan was firing away in his later years so his efficicney obviously dropped.
Also yall act like playing with no zone means Jordan just played one on one throughout. Just because Longley or Rodman camped out by the three point line doesn't mean the big man defending them would have to be at the three point line. They'd be ready to help anytime on a Michael Jordan drive lol. And unfortunately Jordan couldn't drive and kick because there weren't as many shooters back then as there are now in the best teams. So when big men like Hakeem and Robinson and Shaq helped, he would have to take a mid range shot. Fortunately for Jordan he was the greatest mid range scorer ever.

Agree 100%, people are so biased towards MJ and Kobe. Kd is a better shooter than both MJ and Kobe and is way more versatile. KD is way more efficient than Kobe ever was and is just as efficient as MJ. KD has shot over 50% from the field his last 8 seasons. MJ and Kobe played on bad teams prior so they had the green light to shoot over 20 shots a game, KD has taken 20 shots twice in his career, both years he was dropping more than 30 a night... Kobe averaged 35 on 27 shots, KD averaged 32 on 20 shots...his MVP year with no all stars WHILE leading them to 50 wins. If KD has the exact same green light as Kobe and MJ did, or even harden did this season, he could easily drop 30 a night. People forget his MVP Year he had 12 straight 30 point games only reason his streak stopped is because OKC destroyed the nets and he left the game early with 26 on 10-12 shooting.

I would say that he's probably a tougher cover as a scorer but he's not the best scorer of all time. Whatever area MJ lacked in that KD is efficient in he made up for. MJ was way more athletic and got to the rim easier. He also didn't need to shoot a lot of 3's because he was unstoppable midrange and at the basket.

MJ grew up in the time of hand checking. KD wouldn’t last that generation because he doesn’t take care of his body, hence why he’s out for a year. MJ took care of his body and scored 50 points when he was 40. Clearly shows the lack of knowledge and age from you missing out on MJ

Kd is literally a person who can shoot from half court to the 3pt to the midrange to the fall away fader to the layups to the dunks contested or uncontested and all be considered a good shot he can shoot of the dribble plus catch and shot and can pick and pop while also being able to shoot over everyone:...and on top of all of that he is 7’0 ft tall come on the best scorer ever belongs to this man.....

Wouldn't a league dominated by big men make it easier for Jordan? Because the game is so focused and predicated on the interior and not the perimeter? Just playing devil's advocate...

Corey Hudgins The only legit wing defender in the 90s was his teammate Pippen. KD is scoring with ease against Giannis, PG, Butler, Kawhi, etc..
He’s simply the GOAT scorer and would’ve been even more deadly in the pre-zone era with Power Forwards being forced to guard him in the 80s/90s

    • @FinessedAnalyzer
      @FinessedAnalyzer 5 лет назад +3

Auston Matthews He planned in an era of pre-zone defense, which allowed guys like Rodman and Luc Longley to camp by the free throw line and draw their defender away from the paint.
And you obsessively don’t know what handchecking is. It’s not holding onto the offensive players hand and preventing him from dribbling. Besides, “handchecking” was illegal way before MJ even stepped into the league and he played with the watered down rule.

In my opinion the best player in the world still IDC - its insane how this guy works and how his body structure gives him such an incredible advantage
Oh and unstoppable cross over and jump shot like you said its just crazy how he operates - so lucky
BTW 7:19 almost the most clutches shot
