Bill Hayes turned 96 on May 5, 2021 and he's still working on Days of Our Lives! Not every day but often. Love those 1959 Oldsmobiles. The 98 had taillights like a stereopticon.
Bill would have made a great Harold Hill and Florence a wonderful Marion. Thanks for this special bit of Florence Henderson. I can't believe she is gone.
My cousin was a full Col. and quite a jokester. He rearranged the letters on his olds to read "Moldieslob" across the front. I was a teenager and thought that was "cool".
My grandparents had an 59 Olds 98. A huge car! We drove to Canada, a 5hr drive. I couldn't believe how cramped it was in the back! 8 years later, I had a Mercedes Finback. A much smaller car, yet the interior was properly laid out, and the back was roomy!
Rest In Peace Mr Bill Hayes and Ms Florence Henderson🕊️🕊️
What a career, Florence did it all!
You are missed, dear lady.

Back in the day, he recorded 'The Ballad of Davy Crockett'.
Rap in 1959!!!!!!!
Closer to a country style called "Talking blues," but possibly modeled on "Trouble" from the musical The Music Man.
Yo! Rappin' Florence! Rest In Piece 'Mrs. Brady' :(..
Love Bill Hayes.
Such charisma, so handsome with a great voice
SHE WAS SO CUTE AND KOOL. R.I.P. BEAUTIFUL LADY.
Nice parody on Meridith Wilson's 'He Doesn't Know The Territory' from The Music Man.
Back in the day when a commercial could run for nearly three minutes!

Word!
That was as big as a Broadway show, wow!
Reminds me of the song at the beginning of The Music Man!

Where did they run a commercial that long? Maybe sole sponsor of a special show? October 3, 1958 was a big day for Olds lovers to see the '59s!
It was great to see him on the tonight show with jimmy fallon
Greg Brady: "But mom! We never knew you had a life before us! "
Haha! And they say rap is something new!
Who said that? First rap hit was 1980. Blondie Rapture.
here from Florence Henderson’s book

The beginning of rap
Had to be written by Meredith Wilson.
Sort of a form of 'rap'.....?
Back when rap was called "patter".
Or 'syncopated talking'.
