When I was about to retire, I wanted a very special rod to help celebrate that event. I searched all the major companies, but wanted something different. I came across Maine Fly Company and fell in love with their product. I ordered a 7'9" 3 weight "Little River" rod. Best possible decision I could have made. Jeff got back to me immediately and kept in touch until my rod arrived. Their rods are absolute works of art, they cast wonderfully, and cost far less than many name brand rods. Anyone who wants a special, almost one-of-a-kind rod, should consider Maine Fly Company.

Great thing about these rods is that they aren't too expensive. I paid $289 for my "Little River" rod. By today's standards, that should almost be an entry level rod, but it is anything but. Beautiful, very well made, and casts beautifully- as well as $700-800 I've cast.

It’s hard to sit immersed in the deep woods of Maine and not feel a real sense of spirituality.
So true! We’ve traveled all over the country and world, but something about the northeastern forests is special like nowhere else.
