    Thanks for the inspiration! I used a stitch by monoprice contact sensor that I bought online for $5 and put a smart bulb in my pantry light fixture. Then, I used the smart life app to set the contact sensor to trigger the light to turn on and off. Works great!

    Great video Thank you. I did this with rule machine a little while ago, bit the simple rules looks so much more, well, simple. Adding a timer to turn them off if the door is left open is a great idea, I don't know how many times I had to go back and turn them off .

      We always use Basic Rules when we can. Why complicate things when you don't have to?

    Can you use a Z leave with a Signed device as shown in your video?

    Can do a video where you have a switch and door sensor, where the lights only turns on when the switch is on and the door is open.
    I have done one, but if I turn on the switch and the doors is open, the lights stay turned off.

    Nice demo. Maybe slow down creating the rule a bit, as that is the part that glues it all together.
