Thanks for the inspiration! I used a stitch by monoprice contact sensor that I bought online for $5 and put a smart bulb in my pantry light fixture. Then, I used the smart life app to set the contact sensor to trigger the light to turn on and off. Works great!
Great video Thank you. I did this with rule machine a little while ago, bit the simple rules looks so much more, well, simple. Adding a timer to turn them off if the door is left open is a great idea, I don't know how many times I had to go back and turn them off .
Can do a video where you have a switch and door sensor, where the lights only turns on when the switch is on and the door is open. I have done one, but if I turn on the switch and the doors is open, the lights stay turned off.

We always use Basic Rules when we can. Why complicate things when you don't have to?
Can you use a Z leave with a Signed device as shown in your video?
