Have always wanted to check out Taipei, I have a friend who lives there and plans to visit him sometime next year.. this video is very informative. Thank you Joe
Beautiful mate. I think you was here for the amazing weather we had last week. Now it has quickly changed again to rainy and cloud, Taiwan style 😂 Have an amazing stay!
@@hungrytoexplore That’s what I was suggesting. Taipei has much more than just street food stalls and night markets. However, I haven’t seen any foreigners checked out that 100-year old market yet. It’s a Chinese/Taiwanese gourmet food department store (food court included) in a modern building where the locals will buy and eat. Address No.8, Sec. 1, Roosevelt Rd., Zhongzheng Dist, C.K.S. Memorial Hall MRT station exit 2, Zhongzheng District, Taipei 100 Taiwan
Nice video, enjoy your stay here. If you want to see a truly stunning temple, check out Songshan Fengtian Gong, prettiest in Taipei. Bishan Temple in Neihu is also pretty stunning.
I always look forward to watching your travel vlog - your adventures are so inspiring. Your positive energy is infectious! Just curious, have you heard about the new v4 Bento Bag and the Ikigai Backpack by NomadLane? They could be great additions to your travel gear.
It may not look it on the surface (at least in the North) but Taiwanese people’s mindset, values and way of life is much closer to Japan than you’d expect (tho makes sense with our history).
The outside of a gua bao with the pork belly, if I am not wrong, is made of wheat flour, but being gluten intolerant, I really hope they’ll make it out of rice flour too! 😅😂❤
you are right... that was pretty stupid of me. Shows what I know doesn't it. but that is the purpose of travel and exploring new cultures. You learn new things. It seems it is possible to make your own gluten free ones though, I found some recipes online when looking.
ooo good question. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial is huge and you do want to spend some time taking the atmosphere in, maybe an hour just walking around and soaking up the atmosphere. The temple is also cool, but 20 mins is probably enough, again, I like to just sit and take in the atmosphere of these places. Food is amazing in Taiwan
To be honest, until I read your post I hadn’t heard about it. I wouldn’t worry at this stage but we all need to make our own decisions with these things.
I understand that Taiwan's security is unstable because of its relations with China. So I thought Taiwan would be dangerous, and my only travel destinations in Asia were JAPAN🇯🇵 & KOREA🇰🇷. But watching your video made me see Taiwan again. I think it also feels like Vietnam and Thailand!
