@@natalee_jane I'm in 7th grade and I have this chapter in my English literature book, unfortunately, it wasn't in the syllabus. Now, my final examinations are over so I'm thinking I should read it thanks to you.
See, that would be amazing! It pains me when people say that they don't like reading because of the things that they were forced to read for school, and not for pleasure. I was the only kid in school who really enjoyed Shakespeare, because I learned the foundation and that I enjoy it, versus having to do it for an assignment and not understand it. School for many people takes a joy out of reading, especially because it doesn't leave a lot of time for us to figure out what we want to read on our own time. I recently read Midsummer's Night's Dream, and to me it's one of those stories that is much more suitable as it was intended, for the stage, rather than from the objective point of a novel. It's entertaining and fun, and cheeky when it's performed, and just like any great play, the depth and emotion is supposed to surpass the complexity of the plot, and for the reason Shakespeare's midsummer night 's dream is something that people should experience, their participating and telling it from the stage, or watching it from the stage. I think that's much better than reading it and relying on your imagination in a way that completely takes away from an opportunity of how it was meant to be embraced for the audience.
We really should be ready books about broken families abusive relationships and happiness and peace in life so that we'll know what to avoid and how to grow up healthy.
Books i would recommend ( very different to the books shown in the video ) : Heartstopper, by Alice oseman: a comic that involves two boys called Nick and Charlie who fall in love. The well known characters are Nick (Nicholas) nelson, Sarah Nelson, David Nelson, Stephane Nelson, Charlie (charles) Spring, Oliver spring, tori (Victoria) spring, Julio Spring, Jane spring, Elle Argent, Darcy Olsson, Tara Jones, Aled Last and Tao Xu. There are lots more characters that I could name but they aren’t the main characters. The relationships are nick n charlie, Elle and Tao and Darcy and Tara. Darcy and Tara are lesbians, Ellie is trans (she used to be a boy), Tao is as straight as a ruler, Nick is bi and charlie is gay. I would rate these books 10/10 because it is amazing but also involves ED, SH, Body Dismorphia and OCD. They have a show but I think the books are better. Radio silence, by Alice oseman: I haven’t read the whole thing so the description won’t be as big as heartstopper but basically it’s about a girl called Frances who meets Aled Last. (the guy in heartstopper). Aled makes this series kinda thing called Universe City and Frances loved it, but Frances didn’t know Aled made it until later. Frances doesn’t like him like that, she just likes him as a friend. Frances is the head girl in her year, so is a boy named Daniel, later on in the story, Frances knows that Daniel and Aled are together (which is mentioned in heartstopper). What I love about this book is that it’s on the same universe as heartstopper, most of Alice Oseman’s books are and that’s what I love about them. 8/10 so far for me. Solitaire, by Alice oseman: I haven’t read it yet but I know what it’s about, sometimes you here TikTok audios about it. It’s about tori spring. (Charlie’s older sister). I don’t know a lot about this book, but I can tell you where you might’ve heard it (this will not be exact I have a bad memory): home calling, one am. I pick up the phone, “hello?” “Tori. When will you be home?” “Oliver? Why are you awake?” “I was watching doctor who.” “Did you watch (some episode I forgot the name of)?” “…” “Oliver, are you alright? why are you calling me?” “Somethings wrong with Charlie..” my face must’ve done something very unusual, because Micheal gave me a look. “What has happened.?” “…” “what’s happened Oliver what has Charlie done? Where is he?” “ I can’t get in the kitchen, Charlie’s locked the door and I can hear him. When are you coming home tori?” “I’m coming right now..” I hang up. I get home and try and open the door but can’t because he has put things in front of it. “Charlie if you don’t open the kitchen door I’ll kick it down im not joking!” “no you wont..” his voice is dead. empty. but I’m relived because he’s alive. I push the handle down and push with my whole body. “Don’t come in!” He sounded panicked, which made me panicked. Because Charlie is never panicked. “Don’t come in here please!” I make a gap large enough for me to slip inside. And I do. “No go away leave me alone!” I look at him, he’s been crying. His eyes are dark red and purple and the darkness in the room drowns him in a haze. There is a plate of lasagna on the kitchen table, cold. All of our food has been removed from our cupboards. Laid out sorted by colour and size. There are a few tissues with blood on them in his hands. He’s not.. better.. That’s all imma do for solitaire bc that was already a lot of information lol. I would rate it 12 / 10. Tbh it actually made me cry in that scene. If we get to 20 likes I’ll do more! Part 2: Nick and Charlie: Nick and Charlie is a book where two boys who are in love have an argument. Nick is older, so he is going to university, but Charlie will be left behind. Charlie did not want to be left behind but it was nicks choice. This book is set after hearstopper and after solitaire. As Charlie suffered from ED, SH, Body dismorphia and OCD, he has got better since he went to the mental hospital. Nick and Charlie didn’t talk for about a month, then Charlie decides to send Nick photos to see if he gets them. They end up meeting somewhere and get back together. This book was a very emotional book because seeing them argue is sad. The audio book is sadder since their are voice actors over it. Here’s some scenes from the book. (Nicks pov) “C: I’m going to be stuck in this shitty town all by myself and here you are, talking about it like it’s the best thing ever. And you know what? It makes me feel like shit. It feels like you’re looking forward to getting rid of me. Like you can’t wait to finally get out of here and get away from me”. “N: What the fuck? What do you want me to do? Not go to university?” “C: no!” “N: cause that sounds like what you’re saying.” “C: no I’m not.” “N: You’ve got no fucking right to be annoyed at me about that. I’m a year older than you, I’m going to university in September that’s just the way it is!” “C: why are you being like this..?” “N: MATE, WHAT THE FUCK AM I ‘BEING LIKE’? “C: don’t call me mate… you never call me.. ‘mate’..” “N: you are really being a proper dickhead tonight, aren’t you?” “C: JUST LEAVE THEN!” “N: yeah, fine, no problem. I rate this book a 9/10. It’s really emotional. Solitaire (part 2) I just finished solitaire and it was actually really good. It’s about a girl called tori spring, she meets a guy called Michael Holden and wonders why he wants to be friends with her, there is a group of people called solitaire and no one knows who the owner is. Solitaire started playing material girl in the school, locked doors and even blew fireworks infront of people. The firework was under tori’s body and when it started, she couldn’t move, she froze and accepted her death. Luckily Michael saved her. She attempted suicide 2 times in this book. Solitaire also burned the school down. I rate this book 10/10 amazing book. More at 120 likes!
YOU ALL NEED TO READ THESE BOOKS The fault in our stars Five feet apart I feel like this will make teenagers appreciate young love more because it did for me.
Little women is an amazing book. I really have the book in high account. It really touched me. I cried when Beth gave up her shyness and went to mr. Laurence to thank him. The scene really touched me...
Honestly I feel like teenage girls are just seen as spoiled and wanting boys/bfs and being popular but generally it’s really hard coming from me. You never know who to trust with any of your secrets and constantly are dragged into something you never started
I had A Midsummer night's dream in 8th grade and i absolutely loved it, The comedy, the confusion, the characters (specially Nick Bottom), the love everything was *chef's kiss*
I also recommend Terry Pratchett's"the wee free men", it's the start of a very funny and sweet series about a girl growing up and becoming a witch, and it's also a pretty good jumping off point for the author's other books (most of which are set in the same word, the discworld, but you don't need any prior knowledge of that to read these)
i just read A Midsummer Night’s Dream for literature class and bro it was actually so good. i know what people normally think about reading Shakespeare, and while it is difficult to understand at times, there are videos explaining it online. seriously loved it so much :)
I also might recommend the orphan collector because it was in between the Spanish influenza plus I'm a pre teen almost a teen and I love the book so far its also sad.
@@I.l.o.v.e.m.y.p.e.t.s. NOGIRL, DON’T JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS TITLE “No… because they are just husbands. I am Evelyn Hugo. And anyways, I think once people know the truth, they will be much more interested in my wife.” I don’t think you need more convincing. But I’m telling you, PLEASE read it. This book has broken me, made me sob on the floor at 4AM, the most beautiful story ever written
if you find you don't have time to read things you enjoy: put on in audio book version of it while your doing other things (chores, cooking, driving to work/school, homework ect) that way you can still enjoy the stories you love :)
for you people that like reading kid chapter books, i recomend Holes its about a kid named stanley yelnats and he got framed for stealing something so he was sent to a boy's juvy camp. This camp is where you dig holes the width and height of your shovel. I don't wanna spoil it but i loved it as a kid!
1984 was a favorite as a teen girl I tried to tell my friends that definitions could be changed in 1 generation and they laughed at me but all it takes is teaching the new one and claiming older ppl/parents don’t what they are talking about- and now look it’s happened a few times! 😂
It's great these aren't all romance so it's not stereotypes of teen girls, some like it but also other stuff; some don't like it but just other stuff too. It's greatly to have variety and choices of recommendations( *like you did :)* ) !
Little Women is my favourite movie of all time and I absolutely love the book. I shows such empowerment in women and a sense of feminism and how society worked at that time, and how that effected women's day to day lives, which link back into today's world. Totally worth the read- and thw watch !!! ❤❤❤
teenage girls : please please PLEASE read “the fault in our stars” - i read it a few years ago and i’m rereading it. So many tears, a beautiful star crossed love between hazel and gus ❣️
“Making bombs for Hitler” was a heartbreaking book,it broke me.I had thought that the Camps from the Nazis weren’t bad but when i had this it,i ended up crying for days.

I love them all! Really FANTASTIC books for girls. Teaches a lot about different kinds of girls and teens not just on their likes but on their approach on life and gender without being overbearing and condescending or "on your face". Are books that made me reflect deeply on what kind of person and woman I was and that I wanted to become (now some of it I am and some I changed my mind). Great role models for all kinds of women
The Shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella are great🙌🏻 If you have stressful days then they are great to read, because the girl in the book has even more problems😉
I’m 11 nearly 12 and I love little women, it’s my favorite book and for all girls who are hitting/about to hit puberty the book “Hey God are you there? It’s me Margaret” which also has a movie is really good and it’s great about growing up and normalizing things girls go through, reading it right now actually! and little women is a must when I’m older I’ll read the others
I recommend a good girls guide to murder and if u don’t like reading a series has actually just came out about it but it has left some important details out ❤
As someone who’s almost done with being a teenage girl here’s what I’d recommend even though these are pretty different: 1. The Worst Journey in the World by Apsley Cherry-Garrard. It’s nonfiction (the memoir of an early 1900s Antarctic explorer) that reads like an exciting novel. It’s a very sad story, but the author seems to find purpose in writing about what he went through and he does it so well you can’t help but be pulled in. There’s also a gorgeous graphic novel adaptation; the first volume of a planned 4 is already out. 2. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This is by the same guy who wrote The Martian, but I felt like PHM took what made The Martian great and added to it. It’s a surprisingly funny hard sci-fi thriller. Don’t even read the summary; I went in blind and I’m so glad I did. I read the whole thing in one sitting and I’d give my right arm to read it again for the first time. 3. Hamlet by William Shakespeare. It’s Hamlet. ‘Nuff said. (Seriously, though, it really is worth the hype. There’s something in it for everyone.) 4. Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson. All of Rogerson’s books are fantastic, but Vespertine is the one that resonated with me the most. It’s about a magic nun who fights evil undead and makes friends with something halfway between a ghost and a biblically accurate angel. Let me know if you want more; I’ve got pretty broad taste so I have a lot of recs I’d love to share!
Books I think teen girls should read, if they aren’t easily trigger by things such as blood, gore, kidnappings, r@pe, assault, panic attacks, drugs, drinking… you get the point. These are not in order of enjoyment, just when I happened to write them! 1. A good girls guide to murder (series) 2. Any of the books written by Rick Riordan. He’s great. 3. Caraval 4. The naturals 5. Shadow and bone 6. Six of crows 7. The school for good and evil (not as good as the others but still enjoyable) 8. The unwanteds 9. Keep of the lost cities 10. Lightlark (warning, the second book has some s$xua| themes.)
Books to read in your teens (classics mostly): 1 - The Hobbit (book) 2 - The Lord of the Rings (sequel to The Hobbit / book) 3 - Sherlock Holmes (book series) 4 - Jane Austen (author) 5 - Shakespeare (author) 6 - Harry Potter (book series / might be a bit childish but still great) 7 - Little Women (book) 8 - Jane Eyre (book) 9 - The Maze Runner (book series) 10 - The Hunger Games (book series)
the way i was before. it does have some really REALLY mature themes but it focuses on the sad realities of keeping silent about SA. it also shows how being silenced can keep character development from happening. then read the way i am now. it shows how speaking up can change a persons life for the better.
I will say, there was this book I REALLY enjoyed when I was like 10, it was called “TrooFriend”. It was great, so fun to read, so I would 100% recommend that for pre teens. And trust me, back then I hated reading, but this book, I loved it so much. I read it like 24/7. If I was going to give a very quick summary it would be: Sarah, a young girl’s parents decide to get her a robot friend to keep Sarah company whilst they are at work. Sarah is not too keen on this though. It is by Kirsty Applebaum. Loved, loved, loved this. Definitely one you should get if you are a pre teen or even teen! ❤️
Here’s my list 1. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare 2. Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan 3. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling 4. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare 5. The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare 6. His Name Was Walter by Emily Rodda If you read any of these enjoy!!!!
My favorite book is “Gone with the Wind” it is such a good book for somebody who loves a long book that takes you on the journey of a woman’s life through the civil war and struggles in her actions and to get the man she wants when she realizes who she really wants was with her almost the entire time. The book has a lot of racist factors but is one of the most powerful stories out there and can change you. This book made me want to cry although you also don’t want to. It is one of the greatest books in the history of American literature.
As someone who was once a teenage girl, these books electrified my soul : *Duchess of malfy* John webster *Wuthering Heights* emily bronte *Gone girl* by Gillian Flynn *Girl interripted* by Susanna Kaysen *The Bell Jar* by Sylvia Plath *The yellow wallpaper* Charlotte Perkins Gilman *I know why the caged bird sings* by Maya Angelou *The bloody chamber* by Angela Carter *A Room of Ones own* Virgina Woolf
I highly recommend the book Incarceron and its sequel, Sapphique. They're a fascinating mixture of steampunk and darker fantasy who still enjoy the fantasy genre but want something unique. I also highly recommend A Heart In a Body In the World, which is one of my favorite books of all time. However, it's set in real life, so people with a tendency towards action might find it boring. Lastly, I love and recommend anything written by Neil Gaimon ever.
Solitaire is amazing. It’s about tori, a pessimistic, depressed, straightforward girl with her mentally ill brother. The story is kinda realistic fiction/mystery. A blog called solitaire appears and starts its tormenting of her school. The characters are interesting and its so well written :D
Putting all of these on my birthday wish list, thanks! I’ve read all my books through a bajillion times, and I’m in need of some new ones! Also, I love the feminism:) I also recommend reading ‚Girl In Pieces‘, but be warned, tw. 😊
as a teenage girl myself, i highly recommend you read 'crime and punishment'! it's totally inspirational and will totally not cause you to reflect on the flaws of our godforsaken society!
'Battle of the Labyrinth' - the best!he way Rick Riordan brings Greek mythology to life in a modern setting is pure brilliance. The twists and turns in this installment had me on the edge of my seat, and the character development is top-notch.
My personal favourite was the prison healer trilogy by Lynette Noni, I didn’t really like the ones listed here but they are classics. Prison healer is about magic, friendship, love, family vs chosen family and betrayal. It also has a lot of plot twists and characters to simp for

@@Lizzye33i agree bc i dont enjoy writing a lot i mean reading is nice but having costumes and sets makes it a lot more fun and interesting
We really should be ready books about broken families abusive relationships and happiness and peace in life so that we'll know what to avoid and how to grow up healthy.
Yeah but sadly most of those things are romanticised in books
Books i would recommend ( very different to the books shown in the video ) :
Heartstopper, by Alice oseman: a comic that involves two boys called Nick and Charlie who fall in love.
Part 2:
Nick and Charlie: Nick and Charlie is a book where two boys who are in love have an argument. (Nicks pov)
“C: I’m going to be stuck in this shitty town all by myself and here you are, talking about it like it’s the best thing ever. And you know what? It makes me feel like shit. It feels like you’re looking forward to getting rid of me. Like you can’t wait to finally get out of here and get away from me”.
“N: What the fuck? What do you want me to do? Not go to university?”
“C: no!”
“N: cause that sounds like what you’re saying.”
“C: no I’m not.”
“N: You’ve got no fucking right to be annoyed at me about that. I’m a year older than you, I’m going to university in September that’s just the way it is!”
“C: why are you being like this..?”
“N: MATE, WHAT THE FUCK AM I ‘BEING LIKE’?
“C: don’t call me mate… you never call me.. ‘mate’..”
“N: you are really being a proper dickhead tonight, aren’t you?”
“C: JUST LEAVE THEN!”
“N: yeah, fine, no problem.

The fault in our stars
Five feet apart
I feel like this will make teenagers appreciate young love more because it did for me.
Little women is an amazing book. I really have the book in high account. It really touched me. I cried when Beth gave up her shyness and went to mr. Laurence to thank him. The scene really touched me...
Gotta love Beth
I am actually reading now midsummer nights dream and it’s so cool it’s good for people who like reading how Shakespeare said things
For my graphic novel girlies who are 💅
I definitely suggest Maggie Thrash's book called honor girl. It is so beautiful
“Every teenage girl should read these books”
Me: BUT I CAN’T! HOGWARTS IS MY *HOME*
i used to say the same until i read through percy-
now im obsessed with mo dao zu shi (a chinese bl with an amazing plot)
I’ve already read all of these, they’re beautiful
I also recommend Terry Pratchett's"the wee free men", it's the start of a very funny and sweet series about a girl growing up and becoming a witch, and it's also a pretty good jumping off point for the author's other books (most of which are set in the same word, the discworld, but you don't need any prior knowledge of that to read these)
Read at least once;
1. The diary of a young girl ❤
Mistborn, because it embodies our 2 main fantasys:
Romantically falling in love at a ball
Being able to murder large amounts of people in seconds
I have that exact Little Women that I read when I was 10. Such a good book
I definitely think everyone should read “the way I used to be” at least once
honestly as a teenager i like reading books like
The summer I turned pretty series
Or the good girls guide to murder series
Omg yes totally agree
meanwhile i’m here reading murder and crime books 👁️ 👄 👁️
@@mahichanana4087 yeah! i recommend ‘the three’ by sarah lotz really good one. or ‘in the dark’ by claire allen
Same but I also liked moxie
Same
Fantasy for me too 🤣
Frr
i just read A Midsummer Night’s Dream for literature class and bro it was actually so good. i know what people normally think about reading Shakespeare, and while it is difficult to understand at times, there are videos explaining it online. seriously loved it so much :)
You should read, “Cinderella Is Dead” by Kalyan Bayron. It is so gooooood!!!
oh good i thought you were gonna saw "colleen hoover" or some shit but it's actually good books lmao, little women is great
Teenage girls should be given anything but Colleen Hoover, actually fuck that. Teenagers full stop.
@@Sarawarawara- yes! 100% agreed
I also might recommend the orphan collector because it was in between the Spanish influenza plus I'm a pre teen almost a teen and I love the book so far its also sad.
Another good one is “Girl in Pieces” it does deal with sensitive topics but it shows the ups and downs of everything and that it takes time to heal
The book I'm reading rn is called 'coming up for air' by lou abercromble and I'm absolutely loving it! I recommend it for sureee
You should add "seven husbands of evelyn hugo" i can never shut up about that book
What the what 😟
@@I.l.o.v.e.m.y.p.e.t.s. NOGIRL, DON’T JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS TITLE
“No… because they are just husbands. I am Evelyn Hugo. And anyways, I think once people know the truth, they will be much more interested in my wife.”
I don’t think you need more convincing. But I’m telling you, PLEASE read it. This book has broken me, made me sob on the floor at 4AM, the most beautiful story ever written
YESSSS
I wish I had time for this..... The pressure I'm in, oh God
I would definitely prioritize books your want to read
if you find you don't have time to read things you enjoy: put on in audio book version of it while your doing other things (chores, cooking, driving to work/school, homework ect)
that way you can still enjoy the stories you love :)
for you people that like reading kid chapter books, i recomend Holes its about a kid named stanley yelnats and he got framed for stealing something so he was sent to a boy's juvy camp.
midsummer night dream tho 😂 helena saying she’s be a dog for demitrius
ikr i played that in theatre and helena was saying that she felt sick without him while he said he felt sick around her 😅
Im sorry but that book made me want to die of second hand embarrassment
@@yapa-yapa i did too! and demitrius played by my crush 😭😭
@@gabbook omg i was titania and hyppolita (idk how to spell it bc i did the play in norwegian)
Following this theme for young girls, I'd trade all these books out for, The Taming of The Shrew, The Awakening, and Frankenstein.
Way better list imo
It's great these aren't all romance so it's not stereotypes of teen girls, some like it but also other stuff; some don't like it but just other stuff too. It's greatly to have variety and choices of recommendations( *like you did :)* ) !
Little Women is my favourite movie of all time and I absolutely love the book. I shows such empowerment in women and a sense of feminism and how society worked at that time, and how that effected women's day to day lives, which link back into today's world. Totally worth the read- and thw watch !!! ❤❤❤
" Girls under pressure" by Jacqueline Wilson is amazing ! Honestly , the whole girls in love series is amazing ! I reread it all the time !
teenage girls : please please PLEASE read “the fault in our stars” - i read it a few years ago and i’m rereading it. So many tears, a beautiful star crossed love between hazel and gus ❣️
I read it a few years ago and I CRIED 😭
I love how they composed the instrumentals for this cover and the singing amazing!
“Making bombs for Hitler” was a heartbreaking book,it broke me.I had thought that the Camps from the Nazis weren’t bad but when i had this it,i ended up crying for days.
Books you must read:-
(Feat. My asian mom.)
The books that are in your study course.
Me:- seriously mom??! You promised me that after midterm exam you will get me some books that i want!
Mom:- first. Don't raise your voice on me. *Death glare*
Second of all. Can you even read what's inside your freaking school books huh?! That you wanna read those books? What's that book about anyway? *Sharp eyes*
Me:- umm......well it's about a girl...... Yeah......
Mom:- and? What does that girl do? Waste her time? Like you? Or listen to your BTS?
Me:-.......no? I mean the book is it ends with us. So...... Pls?
Mom:- okay.. fine go order it.
Me:- thankyou!!!! You are so sweet!!
Mom:- yeah ok ok now go do the dishes....
Me:- suree!!
*Happy ending*
Such an Indian thing for me😂😭❤️
If you see this, know u are strong and loved! Jesus loves u no matter what ur past looks like. Jesus loves u and I do too. Have a great day :))
I reccomend (for boys and girls) Percy Jackson and Olympians series + Heroes of Olympus
And boys ?
@Capri Gacha actually a guy runs this channel so irdk what you are trying to say here lol
@@randomarmyfromthegiantfand5577 but the nail looks like a woman's
Uhm basically this CHANNEL is owned by a guy BUT he is showing a TIKTOK reel which is owned by a GIRL
@Capri Gacha i thinks joe is a boy right 😯🤔🤔😂😂
Why can't you read the same books?
The Shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella are great🙌🏻 If you have stressful days then they are great to read, because the girl in the book has even more problems😉
I’m 11 nearly 12 and I love little women, it’s my favorite book and for all girls who are hitting/about to hit puberty the book “Hey God are you there? It’s me Margaret” which also has a movie is really good and it’s great about growing up and normalizing things girls go through, reading it right now actually! and little women is a must when I’m older I’ll read the others
I recommend a good girls guide to murder and if u don’t like reading a series has actually just came out about it but it has left some important details out ❤
Well I have read little women and trust me guys it's amazing you would literally appreciate the characters and really enjoy the beauty of womanhood
As someone who’s almost done with being a teenage girl here’s what I’d recommend even though these are pretty different:
There’s something in it for everyone.)
4. Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson. All of Rogerson’s books are fantastic, but Vespertine is the one that resonated with me the most. It’s about a magic nun who fights evil undead and makes friends with something halfway between a ghost and a biblically accurate angel.
Let me know if you want more; I’ve got pretty broad taste so I have a lot of recs I’d love to share!
little women is sooo true. I recommend it to every mother. it's such a powerful book
Books I think teen girls should read, if they aren’t easily trigger by things such as blood, gore, kidnappings, r@pe, assault, panic attacks, drugs, drinking… you get the point. These are not in order of enjoyment, just when I happened to write them!
1. A good girls guide to murder (series)
2. Any of the books written by Rick Riordan. He’s great.
3. Caraval
4. The naturals
5. Shadow and bone
6. Six of crows
7. The school for good and evil (not as good as the others but still enjoyable)
8. The unwanteds
9. Keep of the lost cities
10. Lightlark (warning, the second book has some s$xua| themes.)
Books to read in your teens (classics mostly):
1 - The Hobbit (book)
2 - The Lord of the Rings (sequel to The Hobbit / book)
3 - Sherlock Holmes (book series)
4 - Jane Austen (author)
5 - Shakespeare (author)
6 - Harry Potter (book series / might be a bit childish but still great)
7 - Little Women (book)
8 - Jane Eyre (book)
9 - The Maze Runner (book series)
10 - The Hunger Games (book series)
the way i was before. it does have some really REALLY mature themes but it focuses on the sad realities of keeping silent about SA. it also shows how being silenced can keep character development from happening. then read the way i am now. it shows how speaking up can change a persons life for the better.
I’ve read 2-3 in highschool. Little women was quite adorable. I saw a play on midsummer right after I read it, it is quite magical.
Here’s my list
1. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
2. Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
3. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling
4. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
5. The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare
6. His Name Was Walter by Emily Rodda
If you read any of these enjoy!!!!
You should read Sparrow by Sarah Moon, it's about a girl who has a hard time fitting in and uses music to open up after a tragic incident!
the agggtm trilogy, heartstopper series, solitaire, nick & charlie, radio silence, literally any alice oseman book
Not sure if anyone will see this but definitely should read Better than the Movies I loved that book sooooo much
I recommend you a book called "I fell in love with hope", like seriously some lines are amazing and totally this book has my whole heart😩✨
As someone who was once a teenage girl, these books electrified my soul :
*Duchess of malfy* John webster
*Wuthering Heights* emily bronte
*Gone girl* by Gillian Flynn
*Girl interripted* by Susanna Kaysen
*The Bell Jar* by Sylvia Plath
*The yellow wallpaper* Charlotte Perkins Gilman
*I know why the caged bird sings* by Maya Angelou
*The bloody chamber* by Angela Carter
*A Room of Ones own* Virgina Woolf
Also, I love the feminism:)
I also recommend reading ‚Girl In Pieces‘, but be warned, tw.
😊
😂 these books were a part of my syllabus abd i had to give exams for it too 😊
as a teenage girl myself, i highly recommend you read 'crime and punishment'! it's totally inspirational and will totally not cause you to reflect on the flaws of our godforsaken society!
'Battle of the Labyrinth' - the best!he way Rick Riordan brings Greek mythology to life in a modern setting is pure brilliance. The twists and turns in this installment had me on the edge of my seat, and the character development is top-notch.
The stephanie plum novels are amazing
And as a teen i recomend The three, the summer I turned pretty, books
My personal favourite was the prison healer trilogy by Lynette Noni, I didn’t really like the ones listed here but they are classics. Prison healer is about magic, friendship, love, family vs chosen family and betrayal. It also has a lot of plot twists and characters to simp for
always recommend looking for alaska, it’s been my favourite stand-alone book since i first read it almost a decade ago
Me with all my FNAF books: 'im not gonna leave my scary robot pizzeria phase 😭😭😭😭'
I'm reading Ignite Me rn and it's so good
I’ve already read these multiple times haha
Here's a book recommendation! I love a book called "The undercover book list"! It may seem like a childish book, but it's really good!!
The Handmaid’s Tale. I couldn’t even think for days after I finished because it was so haunting. Every teenage girl should read it.
Ngl i loved the book "the starlight watchmaker" it was a good book but very short i would have loved it more if it was longer and more complex :)
I recommend Where the Mountain Meet the Moon, INCREDIBLE absolutely AMAZING book. I think everyone should read that book.
