Long term for how this defensive line could be built Mason Graham very well could make the most sense of this top group of players. McGuire is a starting caliaber player who if Carter is taken then gets completely blocked. Graham might be nearly as dominate while also giving the Browns the flexibility to move on from Dalvin Tomlinson next year if needed cap wise. While strengthening the interior and also helping Myles arguably just as much as Carter would. The EDGE class is also deep enough compared to the Interior line class where it’s arguable you’d get better value taking Graham and and then an EDGE in the 3rd compared to the opposite which might be Carter and a DT in the 3rd they go for trying to upgrade the defense to win that way.

100%, but I'm worried that unless they have the #1 pick he may be gone. By the time the time the draft rolls around he'll be the consensus best player (at a premium position) and every team can make a case to take him. I'm not convinced New England wouldn't take him for example.

Carter’s likely going to be good (albeit small for a top 3 pick), but you have Miles and Joel both questioning Browns on how they are going to fix this and adding another defensive piece to a bad offense IMO isn’t gonna satisfy them. Trade down if you can get a later 1st round pick plus 2 or 3 3rd round pick in 2025 and fix the offense first.

All I'm saying is Washington had all them first rounders on the dline and it didnt win football games. Passing on qbs for vets and mid rounders is how this organization passed on Big Ben because they had Jeff Garcia, and then the following year got Trent Dilfer and passed on Aaron Rodgers.
