Hey guy , this video was bad ass. Music and the task at hand.. I am not gonna lie , headed to go get the stuff now😂 thanks for sharing, great vid and material list .. 🎉
How did you or the guy who doesn't care about your opinion secure the bottom pole into the PVC pipe? Also was the PVC pipe cemented to the ground and then the pole cemented to the PVC or is the pole removable? Overall... great video.... building my flagpole based on your instruction...Thanks!
Thanks! Great job on the video... however the bottom pole (conduit) should be 1.25 in order to make it work. No big deal, realized it when the conduit and PVC had the same size listed. Your video will allow me to take the flag off the porch to flying high...something I wanted to do for a long time. Thanks again for a great job by you!
how sturdy in the wind? just wondering if i should upgrade the sizes of poles as i will also by flying the navy flag. great idea by the way. i will have to bolt them together as i dont have a welder.
This pole has been doing just fine, although an upgrade to the diameter for additional flags probably would not be a bad idea. Bolts should work fine, also. Maybe plan to position them so they do not fray the lanyard. Thanks for watching and good luck!
cuptain85 thanks fo the quick reply. Just came back from lowes. Got the 1 1/4" conduit for the top piece. Then will make a small piece for the tip so the rail will cap will fit on. How do u get the 1.5" conduit to slide intonthe 1.5" pvc? A sleeve?
+The guy who doesn't care about your opinion the fit was decent, but nowhere near tight. the pole is easily placed into and removed from the PVC. now I'm worried that I may have mistyped a measurement :/
cuptain85 ok that probably the case. I was disappointed when i put the 2 pieces together and was really loose lol. The rail cap is 1 3/8 for sure. So ur bottom pole may be 1.25 and not 1.5. But no worries. Appreciate ur idea and imput

Great video I salvages a damaged pole off a job site, and the gold ball was broke, plole was bent, thanks for the great ideas
Have you considered using some low expansion foam inside the pipes to add some strength?
Awesome idea for the topper! Great video! 2 7/8 topper would even be better! :)
thank you, sir

Pole and flags are up. It's been really windy and it's sturdy. Looks great. Thanks again
I honestly thought you would finnish the video with your hand bandaged after watching you hold the cap while you cut it! Lol.
Naw man. Hurting yourself hurts. 😁
I see how the top rotates. How does the other end rotate?
+John Privitera It only swivels at the top, like a standard flagpole.
Ok
What kind of glue is that?
