There's a fair few parks that could do with learning from how Tayto is doing things. They're doing a great job expanding and keeping themselves relevant!
As a regular here, I have to agree, it's disappointing they don't run the rotator on 360 anymore, or rotate the power surge anymore either.... The park has plenty of family rides these days, but they need to up the thrill rides, and running the rotator and power surge to their full ability would be a quick and easy win.....
I totally agree. As a regular visitor and annual passholder, the offering of flat rides is completely stale as it hasn't changed in years. The way the Viking Voyage theming is falling apart and the litter strewn in every queue line is sad to see. A little work and management, and a few new flats, would pay huge dividends. Here's hoping for change for 2023.
Hi Shawn! Here in Northern Ireland the only 'theme park' we have is called Curry's Funpark (Formerly known as Barry's 1926-2021) in Portrush, Co.Antrim. It's a very small, mostly indoor park- but it holds a lot of memories and nostalgia for many people. It has a Ghost Train that was newly renovated by Dead Walk Designs who have done theming in places such as Alton Towers! Loving the Tayto Park vlog and really enjoy all your content! :)
I waited over two hours for Viking Voyage once 40 minutes isn't too bad! It does feel like quite a long queue though even though it's well themed. Also, the outside building for Flight School is a mini replica of Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport. Thanks for the vlog, it was lovely to see what you think of the newer additions to the park :)
Paused at 2:35 as what you said reminded me of the a family coaster at flamingo land, twistosaurus lol. the carriages spin so my friend and I sat on one side and it went nuts lol was really enjoyable better than a lot of things there....ubfortunatley
I went to Tayto park for a school tour 2 weeks ago, I went on the cú chullain and omg I literally felt my heart drop! It’s so fun and that was my very first roller coaster I ever went on 😂
I’m interested to see what amazing new changes that Tayto Park has in-store for the future. Maybe, we could see the Vekoma STC and Family Boomerang coaster open.
As usual an amazing vlog. The Cu Chualinn is amazing. For anyone who's wondering the rotator doesn't go upside down anymore because Tayto Park held a vote and majority voted that it shouldn't go upside down anymore.
the drop on the Cu Cullain is MUCH better in person. those groups werent the smartest, the front is the best place to go if your scared since you dont get pulled down. you can see the front go down much nicer than the back
Sean, @41:00 she did not look like she was enjoying her day........? LOL. Actually it looked like she was on there for a nap. LOL. Such short lines......we have WAYYYY longer queues than that for just our restrooms here in California parks. Richard
The speakers are for announcements because the ride fails/gets stuck ALOT. Once I was on it and it stopped because the table turn was jammed and the same thing happened 3hr later when I went on it again and both times we had to get off but the ride itself is one of my favourites. From the irish lad Adam!
Just watched the main rollercoaster, so far. Pleased to see from the front row. My delicate body probably couldn't handle these type coasters anymore. But if i was a young fit person.....that ride looking pretty special.
tripsdrill got 2 amazing coasters with the same deal that you mentioned so i'm looking forward to what this part will be geting, halls uber kopf is a super fun ride and i don't think it's mentioned anywhere as much as it should be
This is funny. I was just thinking about Tayto Park the other day and the vlog you filmed back in 2015 and i was going to watch it again then i saw your instagram story saying you was back at Tayto park so i thought oh i can watch the brand new vlog when it comes out. Looks like a really nice park and has developed really nicely since 2015.
Great Vlog Shawn! Tayto Park is a great park based on the Irish potato crisp brand Tayto! And that Cú Chulainn is a great Wooden Coaster at that park. Keep up the great work Shawn! 👍👍👍
Hi Shaun! We just went to Emerald Park today - we stayed at Killeen Castle; it’s 15 minutes from the park and the most beautiful hotel I’ve seen. It has a castle, that genuinely is the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen. They did a package where you got a park ticket included - I HIGHLY recommend for your next trip with Charlotte. Emerald park was open 9.30-7 today in August 2024, I thought there’s no way we’d be there all day… we were.. it was AMAZING. I wasn’t expecting much but it was great! We got sunburnt the weather was that good! The park has been SOLD OUT all week, it was packed! But most rides was 20-30 mins (smaller family coasters 45-60).. the addition of Tír na nÓg land is INCREDIBLE. I worked in Disney for 3 years and have to say the new coaster is WORLD. CLASS. we did it 3 times, it’s the smoothest coaster I’ve ever done!! We spent time going round the zoo (the lemur woods is amazing - you go in to the enclosure and they walk right by you!), the raptor bird show was amazing too!! They now also do dole whip! And tator twists like at universal Mardi Gras. Soooo.. speaking off! When are you and Charlotte returning to revlog this park?! We’ve just spent the evening at Kileen Castle hotel watching this vlog after our day there!
Great vlog yet again! When I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was going to be a family park but no! They have a gravity group which is the biggest in Ireland and they have a Valhalla as well! These people can expand even more and this park may come high up on my bucket list!
they have started construction now on a Vekoma invert which will be paired with a boomerang, it will be open next year, its looking like a bright future for this park
Cú Chulainn seems like such a nice ride. I LOVE the gravity group trains, they are to most comfortable I've ever been on a coaster. (I've only done twister at gröna lund).
As an irish person I have been to tayto park 7-8 time in my life. 100% recommend going there. Still need to go on the 2022 ride! Edit: when I was on the Viking voyage the ride broke we were waiting an hour and a half
Looks amazing..your passion is so genuine..I do like the look of the wooden coaster.. without this sounding weird?your vlogs are a big part of my life now..I wouldn't ever get to travel as much as yourself..so these will do many thanks shaun..😊
Awesome rides on the Chulainn wooden coaster and the Viking Log Flume ride, almost a replica of Vanhalla. Looks an interesting park Shawn with plenty of flat and family rides. One never tends to associate Ireland for theme parks so quite a surprise to see this. Nice vlog anyway Shawn😉👌
11:32 that was the point our boat was rocking up and down because the chain lift was failing i belive but it wasnt serious they sent us out after 2 minutes and we got stuck at the end for 45 😠
I like how the splashes weren't big on the Viking flume. You maintain a lot of your speed on the drops and just get a spritz. Nice. Weird Tayto isn't renewing their sponsorship. I figured they owned the park, not that they were a sponsor. You'd think that'd be the best advertising money could buy for Ireland. Then again, does Tayto really need advertisment in Ireland?

The closest thing to the changes to Tayto Park is the Busch Gardens Parks. Now Gwazi/Iron Gwazi replaced the Tampa plant, but there is still an Anheuser-Busch brewery in Williamsburg and they haven't owned their parks for nearly as long as Tayto has existed and I think the tour closed even long before that. However, SeaWorld still licenses the Busch name. Like what would they be called? Maybe go back to their original titles (The Old Country and The Dark Continent) and work off that? As for Tayto park, Cú Chulainn is the only Irish-themed attraction and the Dinosaurs break from the idea of a British Isles-themed park (although Paulton's might have had some connection with the dinosaurs, or that might just a cool headcannon).
It was great to meet you there Shawn, my son is still buzzing he got a photo with you, it didn't just make his day I think it made his whole summer!! Have a great time on your next trip. 🇸🇪🇩🇰
Just came back from opening day it was great fun I went on cu chulainn last thing and that was speed is still put my hands up 90% of the ride when my parents where screaming
