Help! I’m struggling with where I fit, and came across ‘paintbox’ and ‘blue’ springs in another system, which seemed closer to me than other groups I’ve seen. Where would this kind of person fit in your system? Do you think they are useful perspectives?? I find your way of explaining things so helpful.
I had my colours done in the 80’s. I’m a spring - but during the draping - the really bright blue looked great on me. But once the specialist found out it was a winter blue - I was told it’s too bright etc for my colouring. I’m just a bright spring!! I love bright colours!!

I have a friend that I've been trying to type for months! (I have no training maybe that's why it's taking so long lol) she has dark blonde, almost light brown hair in some light, and has a ton of freckles but sometimes she looks cool and other times warm. I think she might be right in the middle of light spring and light summer. Maybe in the spring and summer when she's outside and gets a tan she's more spring and in the fall and winter when the tan fade and leaves her a bit paler she's cooler. This video was so helpful in helping me understand a spring! Thank you!

Yeah!! Finally I think this solves the confusion I was having...I maybe clear spring. I'm often told I suit wearing black. Started wearing bright white which I avoided as I have fairly light Irish skin but photos of late in white i thought looked fairly good.. So thought maybe I'm neutral leaning cool ... winter but the colours are too bold. Also I seem to be able to wear orange so probably not cool leaning. Black and white photos show contrast but I'm not what they usually show as winter so thought no but muted and pastles aren't my best colours so maybe clear spring. So glad you mentioned black as it may have solved the mystery.

I think I am a clear spring. I get compliments all the time when I wear orange and purple and I have been told I look good in black. Thank you for explaining this it helped alot.
I was just told I am a true spring after living most of my life as a winter (4 season system)! Your video helped me understand why I could get away with a lot of colors that are not spring.
I was analysed about 10 years ago as a light spring. At the time my hair was a sort of strawberry blonde. Since Covid I have stopped colouring my hair which is now a natural warmish white. This has confused me now as the pale light spring colours feel too light but a lot of my blues don’t work any more 🤷♀️. Apple green looks great!

Depending on the system you use, but generally speaking, a True Spring can wear all three Spring palettes (Light, Warm and Bright), without borrowing from sister palettes (Light Summer, Warm Autumn, Bright Winter). Hope it helps🙂
I am a light spring I think. When I bought glasses a few years ago I bought a more bronze/champagne colored pair. Bright/clear gold was a bit too much for me and silver was too cool. I bought a t-shirt that is bright orange and lilac and I like it on me cause I am a spring, but the orange is a little bit too clear, but still works I think. I am a bit confused still though. I like some maroon/burgundy (not too much purple burgundy) on me. Also bought a dark grey (charcoal) sweater recently that I also like on me.
If you don't have extreme warmth or clarity and you are a spring you are probably light. Try on the sister palettes. They won't be yours but light summer will work better than warm autumn or clear winter if you are light. That is a good way to "double check" that you are on the right track.
If you can wear all colors light, warm, and clear and none of the sister palettes well: true spring. If warm autumn works better than light summer or clear winter than you are a warm spring. If light summer works better than warm autumn or clear winter: light spring. Finally if clear winter works better than light summer or warm autumn: clear spring.
Yes! I am a brunette with light bright skin, but I am certain I am a Light Spring. It confused me for years seeing celebrity examples of color season analysis until I actually reflected more deeply because I have not seen brunette Light Spring examples.
Clear spring here! Fair, freckled, red hair, blue-green eyes with a dark corona. But now I’m older and my hair is mixed red and silver…kind of creamy. Does that change things for me? My best colors are tangerine and turquoise, followed by lavender. And I can wear black, though now I need to punch up the blush.
I am not a Spring but cool, however I find it difficult to distinguish between the bright pink and green colors on the palettes winter/spring. Could they be universal?
Spring definitely this was helpful as I have struggled going grey as a spring throughout my youth I colored my hair golden blonde chestnut brown to red and combinations of all three just never black or cool blonde. My grey is actually a steel grey salt and pepper and contrary to softening colors (which is so often advised) I think I have shifted to more of the clear - my skin due to genetics and good sunscreen remain bright and eyes are a clear green and there but contrast in my hair and with my skin more than warmth or light is the dominant feature of my hair now. This isn’t something I have ever heard spoken about but I think it can happen and the clear palette seems to work best or perhaps it’s just my way too to not just fade away
I discover that spring warm colors suits me better on clothes and nail polish, and autumn warm colors suits me better for my hair color 🤨 I’m also mixed Thai and Mexican-Spanish. Also I made a test and the results was half and half spring warm and autumn warm 🥴🤷♀️ I’m mix tan yellowish peach and medium tan skin color and also when I take a picture in B&W of my face I see a lot of contrast so I’m more deep/warm
Thank you! I think I’m between a light and a warm spring. I am very fair, blue eyes, with strawberry blonde hair, but it was much redder when I was younger. Although I do have a corona around my eyes.
Excellent class as always! HELP! Question: just today I watched a video from a stylist who was recently color analyzed. The analyst came to the conclusion that she is a Clear/Bright Spring. But, she has very dark brown hair, very fair skin, dark eyebrows, brownish eyes, lots of contrast between her hair and her very fair skin. Can she truly be a Spring? Now I'm very confused!
Blonde brows, warm blue eyes, medium ash brown hair, and light peachy skin. I know I am spring and suspect bright spring. Pastels are terrible on me. Lime green and bright orange are are great on me.

Green has yellow in it, so any blue-green (blue with more yellow) will be a warm blue. Blue in it's pure hue is considered a "cool color" but it can pull warmer or cooler comparatively. Hope that makes sense. Basically every color has a warmer or cooler version regardless of whether the color is on the warm or cool side of the color wheel.

I agree with you. I’m a Latina and a brunette. I’m spring. I do not look good at all with the winter colors/darker just because I’m a brunette. I look old and washed out with them.
People of color can also be Springs and our hair isn’t necessarily blonde or red. Tessa Thompson and Solange Knowles are Springs.

Warm spring here. I can't go too dark or soft by my neighbor palette is warm autumn so I can go a bit into deeper and softer.

Is an eye still bright if it has a deep ring around the eye but the inside of the iris is light grey-ish green-ish?

This is not accurate at all, there are dark haired Light Springs. Are you honestly saying anyone of color can't be light spring? It's not true.
