Roger Corman milked the effects from this film in several movies {Planeta Buran, translated as Planet of Storms) in addition to Nebo Zowat, which used footage for Battle Beyond The Sun and Queen Of Blood. Soviet science fiction took itself seriously in the 60s and the effects work is absolutely amazing, to the point that George Pal was probably drooling over what those effects guys were producing for a fraction of the budgets he was given for classics like Conquest of Space and War of the Worlds. Whether you like this movie or not, you must admit that the effects footage is SUPERB for it's time. Wow! If some company made a model kit of Iron John I'd buy it today!

This movie was supposed to be the first in a trilogy but when only 7 people watched this movie in theaters they decided to scrap plans to make the next two movies “Back to the Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet” and “Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet III”. It’s too bad. It would have been so much more popular than Star Wars and Star Trek.

This film was made in 1965 and for some reason they don’t make much effort in designing their monsters 😮. The script is plausible and dont forget actor Basil Rathbone in small clip . This is a Soviet science fiction film "Planet of Storms". The Americans stole this film from the USSR, re-edited it a little and called it "a journey to a prehistoric planet" Shame on Hollywood!!!

I've read in several reference sources that American producers and distributors bought the rights to "Planeta Burg" legally from its Soviet makers and made this film, "Voyage to the planet of prehistoric women" and "Queen of Blood", all of which were in turn sold to television by American International.

I love these classics. "State of the art" back then, seems primitive by today's standards.
This movie was before the landing of the Russian Space Probe where they discovered that Venus is a hellish environment, and spacesuits would merely burn in the heat even if the acidic atmosphere and pressure didn't simply crush spacesuits. I believe that the Russian probe only lasted a short while before failure.
Elon Musk is going to Mars -- just saying.

All Terrans understand this and are taught in school I am J.Terran the only Terran to be born on Eden/Earth 53 years old, yet Terrans Never age past 50 due to performing the Healing process collecting those Surplus magnets inside our (CHI /LIFEFORCE) that are smaller than a ray of Sunlight helping to STOP the aging process due to gravity caused by Sun-Sunlight.
