Roger Corman milked the effects from this film in several movies {Planeta Buran, translated as Planet of Storms) in addition to Nebo Zowat, which used footage for Battle Beyond The Sun and Queen Of Blood. Soviet science fiction took itself seriously in the 60s and the effects work is absolutely amazing, to the point that George Pal was probably drooling over what those effects guys were producing for a fraction of the budgets he was given for classics like Conquest of Space and War of the Worlds. Whether you like this movie or not, you must admit that the effects footage is SUPERB for it's time. Wow! If some company made a model kit of Iron John I'd buy it today!

Fantastic film! The odd oddity, to be expected for the time of this film.... The robot, John... could be a contender for Robbie the Robot... Thoroughly enjoyed this film... 👍
This movie was supposed to be the first in a trilogy but when only 7 people watched this movie in theaters they decided to scrap plans to make the next two movies “Back to the Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet” and “Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet III”. It’s too bad. It would have been so much more popular than Star Wars and Star Trek.
Roger Corman used the footage from 3 or 4 Russian Sci-fi films to make this film, Queen of Blood, Voyage to The Planet of Prehistoric Women, and Battle Beyond The Sun. He got his moneys worth from the footage he bought.
Definitely 60s movie. The give- away is that gal's bee-hive hair- doo. LOL I couldn't get enough of these movies growing up. Especially the Sons of Hercules Series LOL😅 Just a thought from the cowboy from🗽🇺🇸 Scottsdale Arizona @unclemartin7711

Colourised half way through the film . Also space car is out of this world . The robot is amazing . This film was made in 1965 and for some reason they don’t make much effort in designing their monsters 😮. The script is plausible and dont forget actor Basil Rathbone in small clip . Overall a fantastic movie ❤ don’t forget hard of hearing can watch film and read transcript ❤
It is a bad print of to Russian 1962 films cobbled together with new scenes of Basil Rathbone added. In fact Roger Corman made 3 or 4 films using footage from Russian sci-fi films.
This is a Soviet science fiction film "Planet of Storms". The Americans stole this film from the USSR, re-edited it a little and called it "a journey to a prehistoric planet" Shame on Hollywood!!!
I've read in several reference sources that American producers and distributors bought the rights to "Planeta Burg" legally from its Soviet makers and made this film, "Voyage to the planet of prehistoric women" and "Queen of Blood", all of which were in turn sold to television by American International.
@@Paul-gq2bn They didn’t reshoot anything, they just did the voiceover and rewrote the credits! What are Soviet actors doing in this film? For example Georgy Zhzhenov? Is he in the credits? Don’t say if you don’t know, buying rights does not mean appropriating creativity, although Americans don’t know this!
A simple trip to a local library would’ve informed the writers of this absurd science fiction that pressures in Venus would crush humans along with temperatures that could melt lead.
I love these classics. "State of the art" back then, seems primitive by today's standards. This movie was before the landing of the Russian Space Probe where they discovered that Venus is a hellish environment, and spacesuits would merely burn in the heat even if the acidic atmosphere and pressure didn't simply crush spacesuits. I believe that the Russian probe only lasted a short while before failure. Elon Musk is going to Mars -- just saying.
I was 9 when came out. 1965-2020 was only 55 years into the future, 59 years in 2023, if this madness was the way ahead 59 years, then forget it, if in 1965.
How does (Gravity device) operate on the Spacecraft in Space to create Gravity on the Spacecraft? And Does (turn OFF) the Gravity device during the landing of the Spacecraft on the planet? Humm?
Oddly enough How do you create Gravity on a Spacecraft? yet, there the people are walking about as if Gravity exists. Humm? That's a major Inconsistency.
Understanding Sun-Sunlight causes GRAVITY and All matter is Positive and Negative charges a MAGNET they should also understand a (anti-gravity field) can be created and directed towards an object to harm it that posses a (Lifeforce/CHI). You people have alot to understand yet.
39:06 1 person (Marsha) is performing duties as the Headquarters communication radio operator without any other person to relieve her of duty after a 8 or 10 hour shift? There must be other people to perform this duty during a 24 hour period. Humm?
09:05 Does each person take a (4 hour shift) while the others 2 people sleep and wakes the next person up to pull the next (4 hour shift) to monitor the radio and control panel? Humm?
34:38 They then ALSO UNDERSTAND Air is (8 hertz) allowing everyone to communicate with each other in a clear audible manner. Yet, this Movie scene there is (audible static) heard emitting from thier communication radio. Humm? Again another inconsistency. All Terrans understand this and are taught in school I am J.Terran the only Terran to be born on Eden/Earth 53 years old, yet Terrans Never age past 50 due to performing the Healing process collecting those Surplus magnets inside our (CHI /LIFEFORCE) that are smaller than a ray of Sunlight helping to STOP the aging process due to gravity caused by Sun-Sunlight. I understand it's a Fictional Movie, yet I couldn't help myself add some fun information to it. Lol 😆
FACT: Sun-Sunlight causes GRAVITY and All matter is Positive and Negative charges. Air is a positive charge a major factor in creating GRAVITY on a planet. There is GRAVITY allowing the 3 men to walk requiring them of NO need to wear thier helmets for the using of oxygen. Also during this time a device can be used to replenish thier (Air supply) among thier depleted (Air tanks) aboard thier Spacecraft while conducting thier Surface mission.
26:55 The man states; "We have very little oxygen left" We? 1st- Each individual person posses thier own oxygen, NOT We. 2nd- In a military senerio he would ask each team member the (Percentage of oxygen available) from viewing an (oxygen gage) to monitor the oxygen level. Who is writing this script? Lol 😆 Complete Foolishness and inconsistency.
5:35 SpaceSHIP? Humm? Ships are associated with WATER as in Cargo Ships or Sailing ships. You correctly say; Spacecraft as in Aircraft. Omygod! Who wrote this script? Lol 😆
