Amy Winehouse remains one of the most culturally significant British figures since the turn of the century. With the flawed genius of the conflicted songwriter much publicised, The Michael Anthony Show is joined by the father of the six time grammy winner, Mitch, for Episode 96.
Cab driver turned singer, the Mitch Winehouse recalls his enigmatic daughter's childhood, musical rise, battles with addiction and eventual tragic death, an event that inspired the heartbroken Londoner to begin The Amy Winehouse Foundation, an organisation that has provided key support to disadvantaged and vulnerable young people for almost a decade.
Mitch also discusses the media, the negative suggestions made about his relationship with Amy following the release of Asif Kapadia's 2015 documentary 'Amy', his own musical endeavours and his love of Tottenham Hotspur.

I am so glad that Mitch doesn't give a flying fook about what a small minority of people say. It's obvious from videos how much they loved eachother. Nobody's business what they do with the money! I worked in addiction but I broke my back last year and can't work anymore. I've dealt with people close to me in addiction. You'll never understand unless you've experienced it. The Foundation has helped so many people. God bless you Mitch and your family. Rest easy beautiful Amy ❤

No child says " Dad you dont need to be here all the time " especially when a Dad leaves the family via an affair! I would have liked to hear the full answer. Mitch is not to blame for her death he has his faults and a big ego but you can't blame him for her death

I met Mitch recently - he is a great bloke, I have experienced addiction and no one else can do it for you, in my humble opinion Amy had Boderline Personality Disorder and was stubborn as fuck, these two adored each other.

All parents have flaws and I believe every person does the best they can with what they have. I think as society we need to be more compassionate towards people.

Total narcissist. Talentless. He wasn’t there when she was growing up. He fucked off and Chested put his new wife first who was a family friend. Amy didn’t love her like he claims absolute disgrace she’s inscribed on her grave stone before Janice. Janice said numerous times he just wasn’t there. She got clean became Blake did and he divorced her. He can’t see why she fell in love with him. He did care about his public image that’s why he has breakdown after release of film. He loves being in control of her estate.
