Wow I turned this off once Vandy scored to take the lead with a minute to go and just now checked the score 2 days later. I'm shocked! Good game Panthers. Sad I missed it.
Georgia State QB, and receivers probably have the best chemistry in the country the routes, and deliveries we're spot laser presicion. Swint is an NFL linebacker, and I'm not sure what round the combine will determine early to late, but I'm guessing Swint is easily a third round pick in the future, and hope the Steelers draft him to play beside Patrick Queen. This team is littered with next level talent actually I'm sure there is more then the QB, WR's, Swint, and Wilkerson making this team play on a top 50 level.

Right here!!! Go Panthers!! This team is solid. I was at the GSU v GT game and noticed how well GSU played. The score did not reflect the quality of our team. But, I must recognize that a handful of unusual things had to happen in this game for GSU to win this one.
What a game! One of the biggest wins in program history - a win over an SEC team in our home stadium. HUGE!

As a Virginia Tech fan, I am absolutely flummoxed that we lost to this Vanderbilt team.
Don't be. This GSU team is just better than people think and they were playing at home. I was at the Georgia State vs Georgia Tech game (@ GT) and GSU surprised a lot of people. Had it not been because it was GSU's first game of the year where they were still working out the kinks, the score would have been a lot closer. GSU's quarterback is a 4-star Canadian QB who was the backup at Penn State and then Pitt. He is good. His receivers are good. And, the defense can surprise you. The difference here for GSU was home-field advantage.
GSU might sneaky have a lot of NIL money. Watch out.

Yall have a home in-state game vs Georgia Southern coming up in two weeks on 9/28. I'm a Tech alum and might go check it out. Hoping for a good game day atmosphere by Georgia State. I like what Dell McGee is trying to do down there in downtown.
Honestly, it's getting better, like the people who hold the sign-up during the game or dress up; we didn't have that last year. Also, our school is primarily a commuter, so many people wouldn't see the point in driving up to see the game. I think the environment is changing, though.
I'm a GSU alum who lives in LA so unfortunately not lots of opportunities. I suspect that's the case with a lot alums of during my time 2002-2007- but I do agree more people could be at the games...I did go the Arizona bowl in 2019- and it seemed like I was the only person in blue in a sea of 35,000 Wyoming fans (dude they even had a Cowboy mascot ride in on a live horse and plant some flaming Native American spear into the ground.... ngl at that moment I was like 'oh shit we're about to get destroyed')

real talk, we're just a big commuter school compared to these other school's around us so that's one factor. we also recently started football in 2010, so we don't even have a full generation exposed to GSU football compared to Tech and UGA..etc. so it's not like your dad that went to georgia state in the 80s/90s is gonna take you to a game since he didn't even do that when he was enrolled.
