- Space Law is not an exact science.
It’s rocket science!
… and has sat unchanged since the cold war. According to The Space Review, February 8th, 2021, the EU tried and failed to establish new international guidelines for space in 2008, but to be fair… it’s the EU. Now, I’m not gung-ho to be giving governing bodies any more license to make more laws. The tree of liberty is looking mighty thirsty. But the need for better Space law has been a long-time coming, and without a stronger legal infrastructure, Big-Tech billionaires get to set the standards, of which they have none.
So today, I want to take a bit of a look at the History of Space Law, cruise Current Challenges of the 21st-century Space Race, and touch-down with possible Outcomes on the horizon.
