Still I'm speaking mostly for me, an individual that without true friendships and honest relationships (that don't want to exploit me) would suffer a lot. Sure money help but are not enough, the ideal thing would probably be rich without others knowing. As an additional example you can look at Notch, the rich creator of Minecraft who got bored of life and now wanders without goals (last I heard about him).

I lost friendships because I had friends wanting my father to invest in their business venture. In one instance, I had a friend wanting to open a dog daycare in his home country and wanted a loan of 100,000. I told him, how will my father get his money back from that kind of business, especially in a foreign country. My family was well off, but not by any significant amount. We grew up poor and it took my father 20 years to grow his business, so I knew the value of money. Anyways, my friend got upset with me for not lending him the money and we have never spoken since.

@@montanamike7948 Money isn't inherently connected to feeling more happy, but it takes away possible problems that can make you unhappy. That's how I feel, though.
I recalled a story of someone who grew up believing they were low middle class, and lived pretty much as one through college. Taking out loans, financial aid, and cutting corners. Only to be shocked after her graduation that her parents were actually multi-millionairs if not billionaires. They had created the facade lifestyle to avoid those problems, teach her humility and understand how others struggle, hoping it would make her a competent candidate if she took over the business. I hope it worked.
Interesting video but I disagree. The status of "billionaire" gives you unimaginable options and influence. That's why even many multi-millionaires want to reach billionaire status instead. The amount of influence and power is night and day. At billionaire status, you are more influential than heads of states/countries. EVERYONE is taking your phone calls and listens when you speak.
Not only could I significantly improve my life, but I could also improve the lives of my family and my community. I could invest this kind of money into public education, shelters, etc as well as make donations to all the causes I advocate for. But yes I suppose I'm MUCH better off living paycheck to paycheck.
1. Get a billion. 2. Put 1 million into 10 different foreign banks. 3. Divvy the other 990,000,000 up between dozens of different professional money managers, and challenge them to beat each other’s percentages. The reward being a bigger deposit.
A lot of these allegations are not the fault of wealth but the problem in how these billionaires are just bad at choosing partners and creating a proper upbringing environment for their kids.
You know what money buys... Greed. It buys resentment and attachment to materialistic things. It hinders your own purpose in this life. Just because you can afford something doesn't mean it's yours. There will always be someone that will come and buy things from you. And those that buy will eventually sell. Nothing is permanent nothing is everlasting in this world. And neither is money.
This video gives examples of different peoples specific situations and common sense examples of people who were clearly not suited to be responsible for that kind of money Generational wealth is what rules the world so I’m sure 10th of a percent of what the world elite have would be fair for people who work towards it

And while not wealthy billionare over here in my state my family was in the middle class in the 90s and yes there is a significant difference between having middle class and lower class money. Videos like this reminds me why even when I had money I didnt like associating with middle or upper class people or those like this narrator that makes it seem being in a life of luxury is bad...please spare me the bs. Here's a video killer. Come to my neighborhood harvard heights in pico union los angeles right by skidrow (funny you guys done a video about it) downtown lol or watch this channels videos about that part of my area and Google up pictures too and then ask yourself....would you rather have billions or heck be like my family in the 90s and have middle class money today (middle class for me is I never wanted for anything materialistically nor did I go hungry or thirsty and had the latest clothes etc...man I miss the 90s minus the LA riots)? Or would you rather be like myself now in the poor majority wondering if I will be on the streets soon or wonder what and how will I afford dinner or because of my living situation worry about my health as I have severe health issues ironically had I been rich I could afford to get better and my life as my area is quite dangerous at times via gang violence and police brutality and mentally ill homeless people often prone to violence or worst live in skidrow where many were kicked out and thus came to my area...and mind you skidrow already makes my area looks like disneyland? Infographics worker: its so hard being rich, its hard to trust people and you get sad sometimes Me, barely paying rent, having not gone to the grocery store in two months, living off of work food, and thousands of dollars in debt to a college: aww you poor thing
This is borderline dissrespectful, there are people starving out on the streets. Im not gonna symathise with someone that can solve any finantial issue in a blink just because they have relationship issues, everyone does.
What is keeping wealthy people from selling off their company and living a quiet life on the interest proves they're workaholics. If you're really worth billions of dollars and don't want the hassle anymore, sell it all and use the *few* dozens or hundreds of millions to make sure you and your off spring have comfortable lives.
A lot of billionaires tend to care more for their companies than they do their wealth. It’s like another child to them. They aren’t likely to become billionaires in the first place if they’re solely in it for the money. They’ll sell off their shares to venture capitalists early and make millions but not billions. Bill Gates became a billionaire by not selling shares to anyone else before Microsoft’s IPO. He was more interested in his dream of getting a computer in every household than being rich. Being a workaholic is a huge part of the character of most billionaires. Elon Musk promotes the idea of it frequently and sometimes sleeps in Tesla factories instead of going home.
I can relate to a lot of these problems but I can’t relate to having a billion dollars. I feel like an under achiever but the twist is I have more than most in the circle of people I see regularly and it can feel like every relationship is financial catering. Oddly enough as well from experience it feels like people who make more than me are more likely to steal from me. The payphone at the house is hilarious and I completely understand.
Not me. I would take a few millions to have a comfortable life and check The Infographic Show to see how to get rid of the rest as quickly, and quietly, as possible.
Like Steve Harvey said, you give your relatives a one time deal: ask their amount and don't ask again after that. Might as well put it in as a written contract.
I met a man who claimed he was a billionaire. Me and my bro were just trying to beg for some insomnia cookies. I have no idea who he was he got us a dozen cookies and two pints of ice cream. I kinda doubt being really wealthy equates to happiness. The guy seemed to appreciate that we weren't in all his business. And truthfully if other people didn't have anything who would have been able to give me anything. Nice memory.
The best path is starting with not too much, but having a loving safety net. Then slowly build on success. People who care will show support, not ask for handouts.
I don’t have problems with Billionaires, it’s the people with 10’s or 100’s of millions that are stressed and rude usually, the people with only several million seem the most happy and appreciative.
No one needs a billion to live well. Every downside to having that much money is entirely their fault. Wealth should be capped and over a certain point taxed heavily.
I had a coworker who was the greatest person. We would share lunch and talk about personal matters. We would help each other outside of work when needed. He kept asking for advice on starting a business but I told him: 1. You don't have enough. 2. The things you want to start a business in have a high startup costs and need many permits. I ended up starting a business in something he knew nothing about and never heard from him again. Last I heard was his drinking got out of control. I always ask myself: how would he have reacted if we did go into business and it failed?
People always want something they don't have. True meaning of happiness is just be satisfied with what you have and share your happiness with others as much as you can. At the end of the day we are all just dust in the wind. My friend told me this. He earns very less but he is happy with what he has.
My dad got paid yesterday and my grandparents automatically started to ask for money and my dad had to tell them no because he’s supposed to be cooking out Sunday and he didn’t want to go broke
Hey guys, I've got an idea for how to help our billionaire friends out. We figure out how much they need to live relatively comfortable lives, and we let them keep that much. Then, we take the rest of the wealth, whether that be in cash or in stocks, etc. and spread it out so that everyone can benefit from it. The rich no longer have all these problems to worry about, and the poor have less financial instability. It's a win-win!
Well that's a good yet very ambitious idea. The main problem with your idea here is the selfishness of most of the poor people. I'm not saying every poor people are selfish, but it's inevitable to encounter one. If they become greedy, they would like to take all the money, and may even result to the death of other people and even the billionaires themselves. We must first treat the greediness among the people before that happens.
@@バラタァンズ The poor are generally "greedy" because poverty forces them to put short-term needs (food, rent, entertainment, etc) ahead of long-term needs (education, community service, etc). Eliminate poverty by raising standards of living, increasing wages, providing cheap public transit, etc and you'll give poor people the freedom to think beyond their own needs. And arguably, it's the rich who are the greedy ones, not the poor. It's the people like Jeff Bezos who built empires on working people to the bone while neglecting their workers' safety.
@@benthomas9776 You got a point there. Poverty does drive people to be greedy, and most of the time it's the rich who's greedy. But there will still be poor people who will choose to be far more greedy than even the rich themselves, even if they already are out of poverty because of the money the rich gave them, and it may cause more frequent robberies, kidnapping, etc. What I meant by "greedy" is not being thankful for what they are given.
When you suddenly become very rich, the very fear of being in debt and being able to pay it actually becomes true. After all, it is worse to owe millions and being able to pay it rather than just owing millions.
You guys serious? If I will have more money than that, I will financially secure my family that will help until the future of my generations. And make sure if I will have more money, that I cannot spend anymore that will only be stored, I will make sure to spend and give it all to the people who is in need.
Carnegie became a philanthropist out of guilt. He hired and endorsed the man that refused to reinforce the dam leading to a private retreat for the wealthy, even though it was dangerously unstable. As a result, the dam burst under heavy rainfall, and washed away the town below. Many many people died, and Andrew Carnegie, while not directly responsible, held himself as so and spent the remainder of his life in an effort to assuage that guilt. A stark contrast from his earlier years competing with Rockefeller out of anger for driving his mentor into poverty. He all but renounced his wealth and committed himself to helping others.
For relationships: I'd don on old clothes and 2nd hand car and go for dates in places they didn't know you, if she still likes you that's the one. If you are so famous that everyone in your country knows you, you can always do that in a foreign country where they dont know who you are
That was my old boss, Bobby Carter. Owned 182 post office buildings and leased them to the government. He was bringing in on his lowest income property 4k a month. His lowest. That's out of 182. But, he drove a '94 F350 single cab, wore the same Texas A&M hat, and old overalls. No suits, no fancy watches, cars, nothing. And he was always humble. And when he passed away, the amount of money he had saved about killed his kids out of sheer disbelief. who thought he had nothing but a old 1,200 acre farm and old work truck.
One thing I personally find annoying and shows naivety, is the “I’d TaKe A BiLliOn DoLlArs, ThEsE ArEnT ReAl PrObLeMs” take. Sure, “Cry in your lambo” or whatever, but there’s no amount of cash that will solve the constant mental battle of living a “pseudo human” lifestyle. It comes full circle. Too poor? They see you less then human. Too rich? They treat you less then human.
A wise man once said. "give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the LORD?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name."
This is a very interesting video! I always wondered why a lot of people say being rich is a curse. I mean I had an idea, but I never knew it was that bad! Having tons of money does make many things a lot easier. But it does bring responsibility to it. How will you handle said responsibility is the real question.
Okay now y’all just lying. Like oh no gold diggers but that much money in this economy secured you financially. Not everyone is interested in romance anyways.
I dislike when people say money can’t buy happiness because 95% of my problems can be solved by money like my college tuition money an apartment money a car money financial stability money
If I had that kind of money, I would absolutely not use it for philanthropy in my country, America. The number people here who think it's outrageous that they have to work for a living even though there are people who have more money than them is insane. I'd rather spend it on a foreign country where folks don't know my name and where the money will actually go to a useful cause. I don't think the many of things people on social media insist billionaire's money ought to spent on (for the public good) are worth half as much as they claim.
What generally makes people happy is pursuing and accomplishing goals, as well as finding love. Having a ton of money makes both of those things very difficult as there isn’t the same sense of accomplishment when you can simply just buy everything you need compared to working super hard to buy a house, car, etc. - It also makes it very difficult to find true love as all of the people you meet will be influenced by your money. Obviously you can set bigger goals, like helping countries & the poor, but in order to feel accomplished you have to push yourself, which could mean turning your $1B into $5B so you can have an even greater impact on those that you want to help. And that’s where the difficult responsibility of managing money comes into play.
Having a ton of money makes your goals easier. Like if you wrote a book you could easily afford to market it and hire a really good book cover artist no matter what the fee. It would also be easier to start a business.
I have a nephew that stands to inherit a fortune one day. I told him long ago to beware of anyone who kisses his a$$ and praises him. I told him he needs to be very careful of who he dates and keeps as company because people are going to target him with ulterior motives. I don’t know if he quite fully grasps how diabolical people are but I did the best I could to explain. If you are wealthy you’re going to attract a lot of fake people and even family members. People try to get favor from people that are going to die and have a lot of money too. I can spot them it isn’t hard.
The problem is not being a billionaire...... The problem is when people KNOW that you are a billionaire... Just give me the $$$, you can keep the fame..

Billionaires don't work for their money either, they steal it. What makes them more worthy?
Virtue signalling
Having the money isn't the problem. Not knowing what to do with it is.
