Another alternative: Settings > Cellular > Primary SIM > Network Selection
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in sharing, but it didn't work for me. But, I still appreciate your sharing spirit.
My mothers iPhone 6s would never work when we travelled international, even to Canada. We were on the same cellular plan and I also had 6s and had international coverage. Called the provider customer service, went to a store, no one could figure out how to resolve.

My kid is in Japan with T-Mobile 5gb international data but after a few days it becomes too slow eventhough she only used 2gb out of 5gb.
Then we decided to purchase 5GB (10 days) travel pass for $35. I am disappointed that the basic international data is too slow. They said it is only 256kbps. I will try this on another phone when we are in Japan.

There is no network cellular I can’t find it

Does this work for domestic to? I’ve been working in the mountains for 3 weeks on the railroad and I cannot get service all day long until I get back to the hotel late at night smh. And also why did you change it back to automatic at the end? Thanks in advance
If you're able to roam, this may help. I put it back to automatic so I don't have to go back in and reselect a network manually when I go back home
@EdwardInTX i understand. It won't work at all for me on other networks. When I switch off automatic I see three different roaming I can choose from. And neither will work
Sounds like the plan doesn't allow domestic roaming. In your case I'd try a cell booster@@boomerak4774
