- September's light is magical as always, and with the berries coming out in the hedges I'm inspired to work on more autumnal projects. That means heavier yarns, texture and cables, and lots of warm colours. I'm working on a new cables hat and mitten pattern in my hand-dyed yarn, as well as a couple of other knitting projects, and spend a bit of time embroidering autumn leaves on an old jumper to cover up darned sections.

The hat is beautiful, I love watching your shots of plants .
Thanks very much! I spend ages just staring at plants, so thanks for joining me
Commenting whilst watching, just ten minutes in and you're making me smile and had to share! Love the hat and mitts!!
And now I’m smiling; thank you love!
Really great idea to give another chance to a jumper with beautiful embroidery 🍁🍂🌾
Thanks! I've got into a bit of a habit of adding wool leafiness to old and tatty things and it's the perfect way to transform them into something joyful.
Lucky for me YT put you in my feed. So glad to discover you! I was poised to ask about patterns for the hat and mittens but you beat me to it. The basket of yarn is to die for…my favorite shades of orange. Can’t wait til the video ends so I can find you on Instagram and Patreon and sign up for your newsletter. I love your work! ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Ahh this is so lovely to hear Linda! Not long until the patterns will be out for the hat and mittens. And I can never resist some good, rich, warm colours! Thank you so much
Such a lovely episode, Marina. I love your latest designs!
Thank you very much; I think you know how pleased I am with them, and how happy it makes me that you like them too!
Great projects your working on. I really like the embroidered sweater and scenary at the end.
Thank you very much!
What a lovely and inspiring episode! I so enjoyed your approach to the scrappy sweater, just gathering yarn leftovers and making something so charming. Same with the embroidering on your fathers left-behind sweater covered in autumn color! Thank you!
Thank you very much for watching! I'm really glad you're liking the autumnal and scrappy projects; there's something so satisfying about them.
Wow the lead embroidery, incredible. Can't wait to follow journey mending the jumper. Love the mitts and hat.
Thank you! I've now started on a sycamore leaf and am loving it
A very cozy episode Marina! Looking forward to that mitten and hat pattern ;) Your finished jumper, the natural color one, looks like it's going to be a wonderful wardrobe addition, the texture detail at the bottom is brilliant!
Thank you so very much! I'm really happy with all the designs I'm working on at the moment and am so pleased you like them too.
Not sure how I haven't stumbled across your podcast before, but i really enjoyed spending some time knitting with you!

You knit so beautifully!!!
Beautiful episode as always Marina. Watching you embroider leaves on a well-loved sweater was especially heart-warming. Loved your hand-made basket and your new hat 🤗💕
Thank you so much - it's really nice to be able to share some of the relaxing crafty moments I enjoy. Lovely to have you join!
I love your projects, Marina. The hat is very beautiful, both the colour and the structure. I think I have to get my embroidery-wips out of the drawer .... I'm inspired to do so. Hope to be able to chat with you tomorrow with the other patrons. Digital hugs from Norway (we opened up our country this afternoon - hurra!!!) Merete
Thanks so much Merete - was lovely to catch up with you! I'm really glad you like the hat, and I'd love to see some of your embroidery.

Hi Marina. I enjoyed your podcast and was wondering if you have need any more test knitters. I made my first sweater at 9 and 57 years later I am still excited about new patterns and learning new stitches. I would love to try test Knitting! U can find me through Facebook if there is an opening?
You're welcome to sign up for the test knit mailing list via my website, though I won't be opening any new test knits now for quite a long time. Thank you!
What kind of needles are with the mittens? Is there bamboo and non remember cable?
KnitPicks wooden interchangeable needles with a KnitPro cable. I do not recommend the KnitPro cables; the joints are terrible.
Thank you so much! I don't expect test knitters to have experience test knitting at all - however it does help if you're generally comfortable following a knitting pattern. On the link I added to my test-knit mailing list page, there's a little overview of what I expect from testers. It's basically a case of knitting to the deadline and flagging any problems you encounter with the pattern; and I'll generally expect testers to take photos of their project for Ravelry (and Instagram if they use it).
@@MarinaSkua great, okay, ill definitely sign up!
Hello from Washington state, USA. I have just discovered you here on RUclips. All your work is beautiful. I loved this episode(37). Can't wait to see more.
I'm an adventurous beginner knitter and would love to try my hand at test knitting. You have inspired me and for that I thank you.
Have a beautiful day!
