This is excellent. I've always had real problems memorising pieces, so your tips are invaluable!😊

Nice Tommy!! If you take a look at the whole Chopin Waltez Pieces you will see that fingering of Right Hand 5-3--4-2 is always present. Despite jumps on left hand are not a big issue switching fingers in a brief amount of time might be worth to practice.

Finger substitution is indeed a valuable skill to develop. It helps not only for legato but also for finding our way around the keyboard without needing to look.

Is there somewhere I can get this specific sheet music? All of the versions I found do not have notations as legible as this one.

Hi. I have checked my score and to be honest I’m not sure where I got it from. I have a few editions on my iPad in Forscore and I generally download from IMSLP. If you drop me an email, I can forward a copy of it to you.

    Hi Tommy.
I'm getting some great playing tips from you.
How would you suggest pedalling this waltz?

I think a good starting point is perhaps one change per measure. However, you might want to experiment with the point at which you lift the pedal. Where you have a longer melody note, you might want to hold the pedal somewhat longer (say lifting it just on or after the third beat) whereas on those measures where the RH is entirely 8th notes, you might lift it slightly earlier. Also, given as in all Chopin’s waltzes there is a good degree of repeated material, an effective way of adding interest is to pedal slightly differently where similar material recurs. I think that personally I always had a tendency to over pedal this and often here I feel ‘less is more’ so to speak. I hope that helps :-)
