    Before you rant about rice production, the rice they gathered are not for commercial production, but rather only for their community. TBT, the hike there is not for the faint-hearted, so, don't be Karens to demand that they put cable car lifts there.

    I hope the Cordillera people can maintain and sustain their rice production in the Banaue Rice Terraces.

  • @ThirtytwoJ

    Hmm. A bit of investment into things like a cable car lift system to increase productivity and transport ease alone would make that a much more viable system. Less fatigue, increased output and movement, faster harvests. Heck even a redesign of paths and some under piping and donkeys would turn that into quite a large production.

    We need the local govt to supply milling machines and electricity and the water irrigation system to help improve the productivity

    • @TheWeirdSide1
      @TheWeirdSide1 5 месяцев назад

      Government is funded by taxes and easily corrupt. What you need is people like Vicky willing to sacrifice in order to make change. You need people like Elon Musk who is not driven by money but by innovation...even obsession. He sees a problem like gasoline vehicles, our single-planet nursery, and other, and is driven to make things better. Once a government gains power the individuals that make it up become overwhelmed by endless problems and areas that need money. Fairly soon the individuals end up attending to whomever gives them the most money. That leads to swift and inevitable corruption. You are more likely to see improved machinery and electricity if people are taught such skills through school education or have access to internet to learn on their own. So government will fund education before milling machines in what is logical thinking. But with more power and education comes sense of entitlement and soon the government is funding it's own military to protect its people... You don't need government, you need more Vickys.

    Eight wonder? It should be re-phrased by stating: Great wonder not 8th wonder. Great wonder because that rice terraces could have had produced millions of tons of rice harvest eliminating rice imports from other rice-producing countries to save tax money for other important government projects.
