Easy Cajun Chicken Pasta
One box of pasta (your choice, I went with bow tie tonight)
Large pack Chicken Tenderloins
Two large bottles of heavy whipping cream
Cajun Seasoning (I personally like Spidge and a Spoon Kroger brand for $1)
Butter
Corn starch (unless you can do a roux with flour and butter)
Boil water and cook pasta while you cook your chicken and sauce. It helps with time management. I also put garlic powder in the water with my pasta. Helps give more flavor to your food.
Heat frying pan with about a tablespoon or two of butter. Coat chicken in Cajun seasoning (do it by taste as I don’t measure anything) and cook chicken in butter. Pull chicken off frying pan when done. Keep the drippings from chicken. Put in another Tbspn of butter in the frying pan to deglaze. (Now is the time for the roux if you don’t use corn starch.) I use my mixer to shred my chicken.
Slowly pour heavy whipping cream in the buttered pan. Whisk consistently while heating it up. Add more Cajun seasoning (to taste). Once it starts to thicken, add corn starch if needed.
Once sauce is thick, add your shredded chicken and pasta. Serve and enjoy!!
