With his new short film “CHINO” just recently released on his own RUclips channel, it was ONLY RIGHT that the RSG Legend himself “R.A” passed through the RTM settings to receive some long awaited and well deserved flowers for his contribution to the UK music scene before and after he spent over a decade locked up behind bars. It’s a testament to his character that he’s able to continue with life without being justifiably bitter.
For Season 9 Episode 5 (Squashing Beef), it was time for the REALEST and FUNNIEST part of the PR run! We had a tough task of changing R.A’s straight face but it was always inevitable on the RTM sofa as jokes are never far!
After talking us through his life story so far including school days, joining the ‘Roadside G’s’ collective, how and why he received his I.P.P sentence, acting, making his own films and a lot more; we put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’ followed by a break for some ‘RTM Banter.’
The main subject was “Squashing Beef” which enabled us to have a transparent and thought provoking discussion. The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual along with some ‘RIP’s and 3’s’. A much needed Realer Than Most conversation so make sure you don’t miss it!

Big up R.A..just wanted say about America being only ones on the rapping back then there still was chester p n skinny n tonnes folk on the U.K rapping with full U.K swagger like mid 90s late 90s so I always get confused when those outfits don't get mentioned under the rap banner back then from grime dudes...but that said even though it was rap it was still called MC'ing but it was proper rap...dunno maybe somebody can let me know I always wondered why no collabs with the rap dons from then and the grime originals..maybe just never crossed paths...cheers..RTM 👍...Edit titch new song insubordinate...that was unexpected glad titch is still sane he said its his youngsters out here kept his head straight in can.. One of the key differences was that Grime was created here, it didn't feel like a version of something ppl were already doing elsewhere.
You couldn't go anywhere else in the world and find a grime rave, all the biggest names where people you could run into.
Grime was just Grime, UK hip hop was a UK version of what the Americans were doing, so alot of people didn't want to waste time listening to the rebore version.
I honestly appreciated all the scenes, TaskForce and Mudfam definitely feature in my life soundtrack.
