You never see them with the cam belt cover on them, they're always missing which is a shame because it makes them look so much tidier under the bonnet...

Was my brothers car. Is actually a Porsche colour that he changed it to. Was about 350bhp in the 90s

Picture the scene summer of 1986 i was 15 and a brand new white mark 1 ford seria cosworth pulls up at traffic lights and everone open mouthed in shock at such a beautiful car copared with the box cars of the 70s and 80s it is it was and always will be 1 of the most important cars ever designed
Looks close to the Crystal Blue the 2WD Saffs came in. Not many were made in that colour. Moonstone Blue was more popular.

Wrong, they did make it in blue Finished from new in the striking colour scheme of Ford Crystal Blue (U7), this is one of the rarest Sapphire Cosworth colours having been in production only from initial launch to August 1988 (eight months), and with very few thought to have been finished in this colour.
Its not crystal blue its like imperial blue and been resprayed its been about years that car if your into fords

Wait, you didn't buy a sh|tbox? There's a lot of Cossy connoisseurs out there that would more than likely, strip the paint off and repaint it the official colour. I also prefer it with the whale tail spoiler. Good purchase Sam!

I miss mine aswell. Well the prices now, and I know from experience that thay have a tradition of beeing in poor condition. I had mine back in 2004, I looked at probably 30 cars in total before finding mine. I even gave up first time looking after one and had a m3 e36 in between 😅
Cant say i would call any cosworth YB boring and for me the sierra RS was the dream car growing up and still to this day. Great video, great car keep up the great work

Doesn’t look like imperial blue to me and judging by the fact that it’s the right colour everywhere I’d say it’s been reshelled into a later azure shell.

Bland.....you boys don't know your born..... the Sierra was a radical shape when they first come on the market with the MK1. I remember the first Sierra I saw on the road walking to school.... the cars on the market where boxes, the Sierra brought shape, style and changed design attitude..... this is just my opinion, nice car enjoyable watch ....

Just to add. The seats were re trimmed with the Recaro leather. They were originally cloth.

@@Hardupgarage Regarding the colour change. He got a bit squiffy on the Maldon bypass one damo evening. Ended up with a broken wishbone and rear quarter /boot dent(nothing much) and fancied a change when repaired.

I've seen rusty Sierra's at 3 years old.
They have Ford Sierra in America but it was called Ford Merkur XR4Ti, they are worthless over their. If they only knew what they are worth in Europe and UK.
