Great video of the SV GP9. What a good looking locomotive especially w that paint job. I'm new to your channel and I'm viewing this from Delmar,Delaware.
Great job on your first video. Only positive comments for you. Most excellent in your identification of the location of each shot. I could follow the progress of the train through the valley up to Weyers Cave. Very few other videos offer that amount of detail. Take some time and spend it at the Crozet Tunnel. Not much video of that I can find. One of the more famous tunnels on the east coast. You will do well covering that.
Nice train video, BB lokomotive, suport from new friend
Love the paint on the GP9!, great video!, that's a great short line!.

Debi Bryan I’ll look into catching the Amtrak there
She looks beautiful! One of.my favorite shades of Blue. Great ol rustic railroading locations. I like ohh yea. TY.
They did a good job with 5940 returning it to it's original appearance and number. Now if they'll work on that horn a bit..:-)
Nice old geep with a great sounding horn!
Can't read that stuff utibe is for watching and listening
One look at the 5940 you can tell she was a C&O engine..
That's 1 well kept GP9.
Renold Vottier yep, they did a lot of work on it a few years ago
The switcher broke that’s why it’s shoved back in the yard
Virginian Railfanner 1069 yeA he’s right also SVRR only operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Hippo nose I’ve seen it running on fridays
Do they still have their alcos
yes, their ALCO locomotive will be featured in another video I am releasing on Feb 11
Woulda liked to see more of the Heritage unit but nice all round video
Daveyboy _ thanks! I’m not sure they run the heritage unit much anymore
Fantastic footage!!! Is the BB going to repaint their HH GP38-2s?
not sure
@@railsideproductions It turns out BB # 16 was repainted and chopped nosed. So much for that.
what kind of locomotive is that @ 4:53
Jmream2 Jmream EMD GP9
V-16 engine block generating 1750hp with twin blowers, 2 cycle operation probably built in 1950´s
Pardon me, but I have to correct myself. This is just a s5t that is in shitty condition.
Too much photography of shaded side of train. Good Locations badly illuminated. Too many letters for time displayed.
