ILL TAKE THE 60%
Appreciate it, I'll take the 60%
No.
jalapeño
Pin of shame
Nothing, I said NOTHING could've prepared me for this ending
I’m crying 😭
Bro for real the amount of plot twist was INSANE
Comedy gold lol
I was like 4 sure black was gonna win
Plot twist after plot twist😢😂
Magnus and Hikaru been real quiet since this match dropped 🗿
intreating we should invastagate
underrated comment 🗿
let's make some more reply
to make your comment popular
help me folks
Legend has it Michael can still take the knight, attacking the rook and then take the bishop.
Don't forget the pawn
🤣🤣🤣🤣
PAWWWNNNN TO G3!!!!!!!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was an absolute rollercoaster. Michael is going places!! Not to a high ranking, but places
g6 is another place Michael isn't going
Chess hell. He def going there
I'm pretty confident that Anuraj saw that he couldn't castle with his king and thought that that meant that to castle you need to move the rook to the f8 square and I like to believe that he was surprised to see that his king remained in the same square.
97% 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I legit did that myself on accident a long time ago when I was a chess noob
lol =]
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Poor Michael was blinded by his own brilliance. Truly a 200IQ game
Bro he won
@@cocacolaowo318 Which is funny, all it takes is someone to go to the comments just seconds before the video ends to not realize he won.
You spelled 200ELO wrong
25:23 "and Michael won" the ending legit got me
On behalf of 400s, we're hurting so bad because of this match. It went so well in the beginning then I started to die on the inside when it got to the middle game.
On behalf of 400s, it took me awhile to figure out why the checkmate at the end worked
That g3 move killed my brain cells
As a fellow 400: this makes me cringe hard because i know this IS how i look to an outsider
@@vittocrazi As a new player rising through 400, I think this game was exceptionally bad. I know I don't play the best chess but at least there's an attempt to play fundamentally
Yeah. I'm at around 500 and somehow even I saw the myriad of blunders here. Makes me think that these are just fresh elo accounts or something
These are my favorite videos where I can actually understand what's happening lol
you didnt even finish the video chill out
@vorciee1664 he saw the many blunders on the thumbnail and made a joke where hes calling himself bad
@vorciee1664 im sick and tired of people going around being like "chill out" when people arent even doing anything or saying anything that can indicate they are mad
@@vorciee1664shit happens all the time
damn bro chill out @@G4M3R1R0N
The ending is poetic, the knight gets the chance to hit the game winner after 400 years of being completely exposed to the impending pawn capture but anuraj has other plans, and blunders the rook, giving a last chance to the knight to deliver check mate, that doesn't happen and instead like a medieval soldier just missed his last sword stroke, the black king gets checkmated himself.
This game is an attestment to the human capability to fuck up and keep fucking up until there is no more up to fuck.
The most beautiful rendition of chess I've witnessed, thank you Michael and Anuraj
💀
The humanity line hit home
The gotham chess says it so well too he speaks like a OST
"until there is no more up to fuck"
Zues:
That was Michael's lesson of fuck around and find out
Anuraj goofed bro into making better decisions
But Anuraj forgot to use his own advice 😂
5:34 i almost cried at his voice bro😭
Bruh my heart can’t take it. The narrative at 21:30 is gold
I see the thumbnail, and I'm like... Dang how did Levy get a hold of my game?
LEX YOU PLAY CHESS?
OOOOOO HELLO FAMOUS RUclipsR LEX THAT MAKES BRAWL STARS VIDEOS!!!!
Wait what are you doing here Lex?
woahh never knew you watched gotham lol
Eey hi Lex:D Didnt know you watch Gothamchess:) And not to mention the minute it comes out XD
Literally can't contain myself and burst into laughter several times. Thank you for the laugh.
No one could of predicted this outcome
i fell out of my chair seeing the last few moves not even gonna lie@@ikosaheadrom
I cried laughing when I guessed the move at 21:39 by asking myself "what is the worst possible move to make in this situation?"
10:09 I think that he wanted to castle but it didn’t let him so he tried to castle using the rook because maybe it will work then
That's what I was thinking!!
I am so proud of Michael, what an excellent game
lol
Way to close it out. Man was playing like Magnus in the endgame
Vsauce is very very good at chess!
Are u sure?
These videos always leave me with such an empty feeling at the end, like watching two of the last of a species fighting to the de ath. It is beautifully haunting, yet in the end nobody truly wins.
beautifully said my friend
nope white won. checkmated him, hope this helps
@@maruwapofilms815michael blundered not taking the knight and everything else for 14 moves in a row, dude. That’s not exactly what I would call winning…
i mean a win is a win even if he playes trash@@MisterIncog
@@MisterIncogbruv in chess all that matters is the end result
My opponent once had
6 book moves
1 brilliant move
16 great moves
46 best moves
12 excellent moves
4 good moves
4 inaccuracies
2 mistakes
0 missed wins
1 AND JUST 1 BLUNDER
He had a 20% gap in our accuracy.
I won that game (by pure luck I'm pretty sure it was either a mouse slip or he got scared with his advantage and I was higher rated than him) in the end the best player came out on top(because in chess skill is a useful tool but luck is the best tool)
The knight had an ability of invisibility.
it stood so completely still it became invisible, truly a move only possible by a master
An excellent example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
The end was UNBELIEVABLE. That was crazy.
The end deserves an Emmy, in my opinion
lucas animações
21:48 Rook to e2 blundering the took for no reason whatsoever 😂😂
That's my favorite part of the video 😂😂❤
He just sacrificed THE ROOOOOOK for Levy😂😂
I too hate it when I blunder my took
Even though he blundered the rook. His knight remains as the new achilles.
misclick ig, it happens all the time
@@JJ-gb5jnah lmao he most likely wanted to find a way to protect his bishop
I started playing this week but these videos are super helpful, helps that your commentary is so entertaining 😂
Levy never fails to make it into a Gothamchess video
21:10 was truly a special moment in this video. The amazing game that white had played so far, black hanging all their pieces, and then the unknown tension as two 400-rated players stared into each others' eyes, deciding to agree to reveal their true inner 400s to the world, as Levy built up his commentary to a crescendo of unprecedented height, and black playing the BRILLIANT ROOK TAK- ?!!!
Seriously, that had me laughing.
Just needed some intense background music, like coffee chess! 🤣
I don't even play chess. But here I am, 6 minutes from a release after watching for months and falling asleep to this content. Had to subscribe at this point. Maybe one day I'll actually try the whole chess thing too.
Lmao this is so funny
You should try chess its really fun
Watching Levy to fall asleep is great.
The recaps with his voice is the perfect thing to watch fir 10 minutes than I just let him narrate me to sleep.
memorize every line in the danish gambit and never play anything else
I’ve played chess like three times in my life and I watch this channel all the time
I think that's why I started playing too, when one of these randomly showed up recommended. Still stuck in the 700s, but having fun.
That one video has me subscribe haha ! This is the funniest video I’ve watched in 2023 ! There’s comedic talent in this one. The overdramatic delivery to make the most random moves sound like top quality strategies is what gets me haha !
16:06 *pp on the pp devastating stuff*
Congrats Levy for making me pull my hair out over a 400 elo chess game
I was devastated because I wanted Michael to win and thought Anuraj would definitely see the checkamate, but the plot twist arrived like a cold glass of water in a scorching desert, great content
I haven’t laughed to the point of crying in years. This was the most amazing video I’ve ever watched. The commentary was unbelievable, my stomach hurts. God bless you Gotham, you’ve made my week bro. Please do more of this because it is absolutely hilarious ❤
I second that
This was some of the best content ive ever seen thankyou, i felt like i got to know these guys haha hope we see more from michael and anuraj
21:03 I was dying laughing at his commentary over the rook blunder
Same man hahhaa
Hikaru once made a point. In games like these, the most important thing you need is tactic. In this case, it’s the removal of the knight, which is the guardian of the bishop.
No. These people don't need to learn tactics 😂 they need to learn a pawn can take a peice diagonally
In games like these the most important thing is to learn to play chess.😂😂😂
this is the first time i've ever seen someone blunder a checkmate and give it to the opponent.
Under 1000 ELO is the most dramatic chess
I've never laughed so much for a chess video 😂
Thank you Levy!
I liked my own comment
Edit: Why tf did 3.1K like this, arent people who watch chess supposed to be smart💀💀
I disliked my own reply
Exactly
Who tf cares...
I also liked your comment
I hope you eat good today
there's just something so comforting abt levy's calm voice
To say that was a calamity of errors would be a cosmic understatement.
Levy will never fail to lose his sanity
I love this series, you're storytelling is amazing! You can be entertaining without editing, i respect that. I also kept hearing "on the rush" instead of the player name😂
I don't think I've ever laughed out loud like this to chess commentary. It truly made my day, thank you. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
the end was literally the biggest blunder possible in all of chess
The emotional rollercoaster of this checkmate report was unbelievable! I hope that the players see this and emerge the better for the educational experience.
One of my favorite series on youtube. How to lose at chess, second to guess the elo. Gotham I love your videos. I’ve been going through a rough time recently, been sick for 10 weeks. But your videos always make me laugh and smile and keep me entertained. Thank you for everything you do. You’re amazing ❤❤❤
This is much better than guess the elo😂
Get well soon bud
That was exhilarating!! Really enjoy your content
i appreciate the very genuine performance you put into commentating these games it's comedy gold (and educational!)
Thx Levi...this video was so helpful. I was able to loose all my games today. You the best!
" michael can take the knight and then the bishop" 😂😂
what an absolute rollercoaster of emotion haha. Great video
That ending absolutely SENT me 😂
Levy always comes in clutch with uploading a video that I can watch while cooking my dinner
Levy never fails to put his videos on youtube.
Im pretty new to chess as well but these videos are UNDERRATED AF!! Should have atleast 10x views. The whole series as whole should 🔥
I was so afraid that Michael would lose. You did great Michael, cheered for you the whole game
Hahaha I forgot how hard it was to predict what is going to happen in these types of games. I was cheering for Michael during all of it, got sad when the blundered mate. But the twists, oh my
That was truly epic. Thank you. This is the kind of chess entertainment I expect, and, frankly, deserve.
levy pls upload more of this series and gto
The plot twist at the end..... *chef's kiss*
This is a meaning of "win" of which I was not previously aware. The most amazing part of this game is that one or both players apparently realized that checkmate had occurred.
Well... It _was_ an online match, so the computer handles detecting checkmate.
So, given the quality of play, its quite possible that both players were surprised when the checkmate was announced.
Just started playing chess and learning how to play. You are an absolutely incredible entertainer, chess aside. It is really helping me to love the game more.
That pawn truly has no enemies
What a finale!! The anticipation! The plot twist! Brilliant!
This is the best show on your channel.
Much better than guess the elo.
Please, give us many more!🤩
Chess never fails to put Levy in their videos
That is a brilliant twist
Either the knight was invisible or both of them forgot knight was there that was soo funny
"Feet picture Levy doesn't exist, he can't hurt you"
Feet picture Levy:
Where?
@@G4M3R1R0N At 2:57.
22:00 the reason for g3 was that he thought that knight h2 was checkmate, so he was making a square for his king

Kramnik should be asking for the analysis of this game!! Machine!! Engine!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Gotham I love your content you made me better at chess you are the goat of chess
I love these videos for the simple fact that every time you think it couldn't possibly get more chaotic, it does 🤣 and the worst part is that I KNOW my own games were probably about this bad when I was 400 elo
I love that I can never predict whats gonna happen in these games
The way he said "absurd" while laughing halfway through the word 😂😂 that nearly killed me 😂😂
Im 400 rated thanks for the help!
35/41.73 stare today, nice job Gotham
"but instead of that" LOL
If this was OTB, they for sure would’ve carried on playing after the checkmate had occurred
The best part of being 400 rated is that when you make a blunder your opponent is just as terrible as you are and has a 50:50 chance they won't see it
Goblin Gotham 5:34
High note Gotham 9:04
Constipated Gotham 21:46
What a roller coaster. Especially that ending. Great video.💖
I got your book yesterday, its very good!
The amount of “but instead of that’s” that occurred had me dying
Who else wants his book for Christmas?
on my wishlist 👍

25:18 OH SHIT YEESSSSSS YESSSSS NOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOO WGO AM I ROOTING FOR IDK 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 WHAT
11:10 “thank God he did not blender another piece!” 😂😂🤣🤣
This takes Shakespearean comedy of errors to a whole new level.
Levy never fails to include gothamchess in a video
Levy truly never fails to change the video title every 0.001 seconds😊🙏
One of the best commentaries. Laughed out loud so many times.
Reminds me of the good old husky sc2 commentaries
15:13 "Michael is a Canadian. They're nice..."
*war crimes intensify*
Levy never fails to laugh at chess players
How tf did u watch a half hour video in less then a minute?
@@RNYT8585he's built different

That knight is still hanging until the end of the game, wild
This was an oddly beautiful game
25:00 NOOOOO😭
Bro i do not understand how the mind of a 400 works, like the game is very easy.
"Michael can still take the knight and attack the bishop."
