  • Bower is an adult female Black Flying-Fox who was rescued by Linda in Bundaberg; I was lucky to be able to meet Linda and enjoy her company (and her lovely mum's company) during my recent road trip north.
I went on a few rescues with her and when I arrived we took Bower off to the vet for an xray, which fortunately showed no fractures.
Linda is really lucky that Sugarland Vets accept wildlife and are happy to see bats (and pelicans!). Thanks Sugarland Vets and Kim for allowing me to video Bower's xray .
Linda kept Bower for another few weeks when she was ready and willing to go and eagerly flew off.
YAY, we love to watch hard releases and we love to see the happy ending to the story.
Thanks Linda for the release footage.
To donate to Linda's rescue, go to the Bundaberg WIldlife Rescue website or Bundy Wildlife FB page and liaise with Linda.
