- Mirror Drop First Look - it's extremely trippy, so sit back, relax, and take in the visuals. Bonus points if you understand what's going on, but you don't have to even understand to enjoy this video. It's a fun puzzle game that employs some unique mathematics concepts. Enjoy!

I was trapped inside a mirror maze when I was younger and had to run through the emergency exit and through the back of the mall the maze was located in. This video will hopefully let me overcome that mirror filled trauma
Top comment so far.
it’s been 12 minutes, how has it been, i’m just getting started
Emergency exist fr fr
self update, got bored clicking off, do inform me though of your experience
I feel the best this can do is allow you to fully understand the disorienting force of mirrors and recontextualize your experience as only a fragment of such force
I now know what I need to do in case I ever happen to get trapped inside a spherical mirror! 10/10
!WARNING! You have to be a spherical mirror
The second I saw this I wondered what it would be like in VR... probably would have issues with motion sickness though
Mean if you have motionsickness I doubt you're playing vr
@@princecuddle All human beings can have motion sickness
@@princecuddle you sound like you have never played vr lol
Funny seeing you here
If I had a nickel for every time I ran into someone I know in an aliensrock comment section I would have two nickels
@@Mishinowo which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
Imagine not being trapped inside a spherical mirror
Couldn't be me
That's like asking me to imagine the fourth dimension. It's simply unfathomable
@@someoneunknown6553 That was a joke.
Here we go again with Tyler solving infinite puzzles that melt my brain
This is definitely a REALLY interesting game. Too bad it's also really difficult to see what's going on XD I would watch the entire series if you kept it going but fair enough if you scrap it.
It's not very long, only 20 levels. He did maybe around 10 so I figure a second episode would probably finish it. Though the level laters are more difficult, so if it took him a while there might be a third episode.
I have 0 clue what’s happening but im enjoying watching the pretty colours
I can only imagine how much more trippy this game would be if it was in VR.
You can get a really good feel for how it would feel if you check out a VRChat world called "Treehouse in the Shade". It's just a treehouse, but you can select your surroundings and switch them between multiple trippy surroundings similar to this game. It made me sick xd
This is exactly the kind of game 90's media said we'd be playing in the future
I don't understand 100% of what is going on, but I at least have the general idea behind the puzzles. This was quite enjoyable.
Disorientating? Of course. Nauseating? Not at all!
Only Tyler can manage to showcase and solve puzzles while keep the viewers at ease.
This game straight up seems like what an acid trip is like
thank you tyler for breaking all the mirrors in my house, very cool!
Oh no the ISAB comments have arrived
@@jacobr8790 Thank you jacobr for mentioning the guy that popped the bloons
I loved watching you play this game! Definitely keep it up. Would love to see more of it. (I enjoy strange geometries. I'm betting it starts becoming non-euclidean.)
It's all non-euclidean.
Isn’t it already non-Euclidean? Spherical geometry is a non-Euclidean geometry.
Did you play hyperrogue?
@@mathcookie8224 It wasn't spherical geometry, it was a 3 torus.
Yeah, my bad. The video title says spherical, and since one of the earlier levels takes place in a dodecahedron, I assumed it was actually spherical geometry, but later levels clearly show Euclidean looping, so you’re right about it being a 3-torus.
And I’ve played plenty of HyperRogue
Game is awesome and trippy but not that disorienting once you get how each section moves. Keep going!
This video has enlightened me so much I can now taste colors, thanks Tyler 👍
oh my god this would look so trippy in VR
The first stage was impossible to follow until the next stage where it became apparent that you could move and were not just rotating in place
This game is blue out of Louisiana visual representation of what anxiety taste like.
I really want you to continue, this looks sick. But all glory to Tyler, you know what is best. Last thing:
You should cosplay as a peglin for all your loyal fans.
Day what now lol
@@ju-yuanchueh8444 oh I'm not the normal guy, and if you didn't notice, he always says day 72, even though I don't think it's even been 72 days.
So day 1.
Ah yes the Puzzle version of a Madoka Witch Barrier where instead of fighting a Boss you solve puzzles in an equally trippy setting
And despite having seen the aforementioned Madoka I agree that it was a bit too trippy for my liking
i knew i would have to rewatch parts to understand what’s going on, didn’t expect it to be the first 10 seconds
Damnit I hate when I accidently Fall into a spherical mirror. Last time it happened I lost my Bläjha
bläjha is love, bläjha is life
ah yes, bläjha, the Norwegian cousin of blåhaj
I can't spell UwU
This game is perfect for Tyler LMAO
I have not had nearly enough lsd to follow this. I ended up having to shut my eyes, just couldn't handle it, visually. Glad that you enjoyed it!
I watched for two minutes without understanding what was going on, until I restarted twice and it finally clicked in my head
Soemthing sorta neat I found, factorio has some puzzle maps and levels built in! They’re seemingly difficult I’m trying to get through it myself
Hey! I love this game! So glad to see Tyler playing it!
Thanks for the vid Tyler! Always happy to see one!
I think why you go into a goal at the end of every level is because you ARE one of those mirror spheres that goes into the goals. If you go next to another sphere, why the reflection is infinite in a way, it's because you are one of the mirror spheres, seeing yourself with another one.
for some reason at 8:41 one of the frames of this second of the video contains a glitched out double-skip symbol in a circle
That's trippy. I imagine this would be a _wild_ experience for someone tripping out of their mind.
Somehow this is one of the few mind bending games I almost instantly understood
My mind wasnt ready for this in the morning
Oh I loved this video. It was a very nice chill video to watch before bed, I really do hope you can continue it!!!
I didn’t think it was all to confusing, after the first level at least, maybe I just have good spacial something or other though xd
Reminds me of being inside a kaleidoscope.
My brain do mega hurty after watching this. Props on understanding this.
This would make such a crazy vr game
Interesting visuals, but quite headache inducing when I've just woken up and haven't had a drop of caffeine yet lol
Ok Tyler's editors, for real though, you need to add a disclaimer in the beginning of these videos saying: "This video is very trippy. For better enjoyment, have some mushrooms and come back to watch it in when you start feeling the effects".
That was awesome and I would love to see more
i love this. it has a very liminal space type feel to it.
This looks real cool
This would be SUCH a cool vr game...
this would make a terrific VR game
This is such a wicked game, I love it. I could follow it just fine but I could totally see other people not being able to stomach it. Would be cool to see more though! Feel like you are one of the only RUclipsrs I know that could understand and play this game lol.
Tbh, this more looks like a 4D type of vision. Like a hypersphere (or the other shapes). Very interesting but hard af to follow since our brains just aren't made to visualize this stuff very well.
That's so trippy!
I'm in pain and been bed resting. This trippy video is perfect for me lol
This seems like a great way to have a fever dream
And at this time
This is what I imagine Aliensrock would mean
For the life of me, no matter how hard I tried, I could not follow what was happening in this video at all. So I went and bought the game myself, played it all the way through, and now have come back to watch with that new understanding
Not too nauseating for RUclips, I love it
this looks like how an acid trip feels
My Particle Physics grade went from E to A+ because of this game
Great video as always Tyler I watched all the way through and enjoyed it 10/10
i am thoroughly confused by this one
I actually really enjoyed this playthrough! If the viewership is too low I understand, but you have at least one fan of this subseries!!
Imagine playing this in VR! If you don’t get motion sickness from that then nothing would!
I like how it's now just a d12 instead of a dodecahedron
Imagine this as a vr game. I know it would be very motion sickness but it would be neat.
"They're balls. Everything's balls" - Aliensrock 2023
truly one of the philosophers of our time
Oooh, i love it. It’s so cool😮
THIS GAME IS JUST ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!
"What is this symbol, this hook?"
It's a question mark, Tyler.
This game would be both so amazing and also too scary as a horror game
Love this game!
great video!
This just feels like a weird dream
Every time he completes a level I get flashbanged
Cool, but huts my brain 😂 especially this early in the morning here in north Europe
This looks like a half lucid dream
spherical mirrors are my favorite flavor
I'm 28 and I like maths. But seeing you solve geometric worlds quite easily, I tell myself that I can't be a mathematician, I'm too limited intellectually.
Only tyler could figure this out logically
So what happened around 3:10 was that his fov was increased to 360°. You can see about 6 different views that correspond to different directions.
This in VR would be so nauseating
Tyler, if you haven't already, you need to play Antichamber
Oh i hope there's VR for tis game, this is prime VR thing
This is actually an awesome looking game. I’ll probably buy it
Mirror Drop . . . another one that will be fun to stream to my friends, it seems :p I have no problems following along with the action, even at 2x playback.
My brain hurts looking at this.
Really cool puzzles though.
I was able to follow all this, but even I was feeling a bit motion sick watching lol. Very cool game, probably not a great YT series though!
oh my god, after this my head hurts so much
this game is awesome
I'm high rn and this is seriously fucking with me LOL
Hope everyone is having a nice night
Omg I need to try this in vr
Imagin the same game with spherical geometry instade.
that would be a great game for vr
I want this game in VR.
Imagin this in vr
Love this please dont scrap it
This game was super interesting and cool to watch but it took a couple of attempts for me to make it past the 1 minute mark. Never felt nauseous but did feel incredibly lost
I think you indeed have a physical representation. You are just another mirror ball
So trippy, but fun.
wow, this just overcome my wtf limit
Imagine this in vr
this is trippy
i am a bit too high for mirrors, all peglin videos are appreciated
my brain is melting holy crap
Sick!
