Gian Palacio Confused Officer: "So, you say we should run backwards and blindfolded into the middle of the battlefield and commit suicide, are you sure it will work?" General Tal: "Yes! Dont make me repeat myself!"
I honestly think that some of it was just psychological warfare. Maybe that's why Keller didn't take that pawn at the end. Maybe his thought pattern was something like this: ~ A pawn isn't protected. I better not take it and sacrifice some of my pieces, maybe I will draw then. It's Tal after all.
It's interesting to see stockfish showing Tal's moves as wrong at first but when it goes deeper Stockfish realizes that actually it was much better than its own recommended move! #STOCKFISHCONFUSED
It's because a correct response to Tals moves would destroy his strategy, but after a suboptimal countermove Stockfisch evaluates, that the optimal moves from that point won't stop Tals strategy.
When you can't explain a move by a Tal opponent it's because as you once said, "you start seeing ghosts" . His style seems to be to take his opponents down a rabbit hole into wonderland.
Tal games are so entertaining. He basically knocks you out with swift jabs and keeps you hanging in the corner so you cant fall down or go to knee before you are totally hammered to hell..
In my thoughts Tall was the greatest mind (in chess) of the world. He complicated everything, sacrificed most significantion figures and... still can win :)
This is the most fitting title in your entire repertoire of Chess Game Analysis videos. This is by far the most complicated Chess game I have ever seen. Thank you!
How about one love quote that has something to do with chess. " Don't treat her like a Queen if she doesn't appreciate you as her King. " Mario Ivandić.
Why are you preaching to me about this, it has nothing to do with chess! Im muslim I will never believe God would let His prophet undergo such torture to forgive my sins, no man bears the burden of another mans sins its in the Bible. Players like: Paul Morphy Mikhail Tal Alexei Shirov Judit Polgar Garry Kasparov David Bronstein Rashid Gibiatovich Nezhmetdinov Veselin Topalov Alexei Shirov bobby fischer Anatoly Karpov Paul Morphy But definitely tormented that I see boring games like that's Hikaru Nakamura
After watching your videos for a few months, I was able to find the final sequence beginning with the rook sacrifice. You are making me better at chess. Thanks you for the great content.
After the Knight blocks the check by moving to b4, there is an elegant mate by Dc6+. The king is forced by check on d7 from a7 to b8 when Sc6 is mate. Check on e8 produces the same if king goes to b8 immediately. Blocking on c7 with the queen allows Dd5+ winning the rook. What a fascinating position. Poor Keller's head must have been bursting!
You enghlish is perfect better then al Britain's poeple in my opinion, this is the corect pronuntion for my ear, it was a compliment, my english is low i learn from cartoon netowork when i was young. You are the best chess orator, sorry for my english if i writte something wrong, is not my matern language, i wach yours video altmost every day many ours, you relaxing me.Thank you for what are you doing! *****
Blaise N'kufo do we hashtag a response when we see that or what because I scrolled to find someone commenting about the Ne6... Aga did that on purpose, so seamlessly? So deceptive
Tal forces the opponent to calculate which ends up favoring him...Great Channel for Learning chess...Can you please make a video for chess openings with there strengths and weaknesses?
9:19 what about bishop taking pawn on f2? Maybe he would not have won still, but could have relieved some of that pressure for a play or two. At that point he had a material advantage but not a positional one.
At the time of Tal rook capture bishop on e4, keller should play RxG3. As the f2 pawn is pinned h2 will capture the rook, and QxG3 will be another check. Also if king moves it is better for black
Jubair Siddeeque I doubt that he missed that. Just to add one more thing it's clearly said in the description that there's a better move in one of the analysis
Does anyone know what would happen if Fischer had won his game against Keller, and both Tal and Fischer would have tied with 11.5 points? Would they need to play some sort of a tiebreaker match?
Could Ne6 work for white at 5:20? Forking King, Queen, and Bishop on f8? Nevertheless, could win a dark squared bishop for less compensation in position, but potentially, white could end that position in a win.
Botvinnik said about Tal: if he ever offers a piece, always take it (but never take one if Petrosian offers it), but Botvinnik kept the rest of the advice to himself: but you're not me...
All he had to do was capture that pawn with the rook and he actually could've won the game, he had much more pieces, and just had to play accurately and coordinate his pieces. But I agree Tal complicates the positions and puts them in time trouble
My recipe - Complicate, and I will blunder...
Underrated comment :D
You comment on a lot of his vids
or I calculate omega possibilities and lose on time
lol that's a good one right there
Lets just say your username isnt your calculating depth
Can you imagine Tal as a general?... I wouldnt like to be on either side of the battle.

best line of the video 😆
"A very interesting game by Mikhail Tal." At this point, in watching this channel, that phrase might be redundant.
great one Ephraim.. :)
Because they are all intresting
@@JEA- me too
Is Tal even capable of a boring game?
It's interesting to see stockfish showing Tal's moves as wrong at first but when it goes deeper Stockfish realizes that actually it was much better than its own recommended move! #STOCKFISHCONFUSED
Aniket Bramhankar that happens a lot with tal games. Engines cannot think like us yet. :)
Krishna Mohan engines cannot think, yet...
Alpha zero
If tals apponent had been stockfish though...
I'm in the Keller diet, I make alot of bad moves.
I feel like movements would work better... :P
Is this a reference to Fritzl or maybe Helen Keller?
Fuktstund to dieter keller, the opponent playing tal in this analysis.
dont worry it was a hyper bullet game!
Ggg
wow as a beginner this video was the first time I really realized how beautiful chess is. Tal is fantastic.
One of the few games where tal's opponent loses a queen first lol hahaha
At that point Tal stood up from the board, looked Keller in the eyes and said through the teeth "Oh no, you didn't".
yes after tal sacrifices his both knight and rook...
*Agadmator*
"Hello everybody"
*Dog*
*I'm out of here*
Hahahah
Introvert doggo
I love your coverage of Tal; my favorite of all time.
This channel made tal my favorite player ever
I don't think Keller realized his dark bishop existed in the entire game.
Jonah Haas damn true , why .…?
yes,in one move i think bishop can capture a piece,maybe i didn’t saw something
I was looking for this comment. Why didn't Keller's dark bishop capture Tal's knight when the knight forked the king and the queen? Min 10:53
@@adyyonascu Rook is checking the king, since it's a double-check from the rook and the knight you have to move the king.
@@ford950 oh, i see it now. Thanks
What a naughty knight!!
He's forking the king and queen!!!
"Tal always has a Tal move ready somewhere..."... I laughed at this :)
The usual Tal on the frame stares at your soul, the second Tal stares at your blunder
Loll
The best part of this channel is clearly Tal games. I didn't even know him before your videos.

"Tal is coming for you. You don't want to grab that pawn" XD
XDDDD
"tal is coming for you, and you don't want to grab another pawn" 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isn't at @5:21 knight to e6 forking the king and queen
It's in the description :)
i found it first, i need some sort of reward or something :D
You can choose the quote for the next video, how's that? :D

+Mario Ivandić Sure, that'll work :)
That Tal guy was something else!
Finnaly came to know the legend whose photo was there in every agamator video 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this guy
Wish the news came as fast and balanced as this beautiful mans game analysis.....
Much love to professional chess game analyst
Crazy to think this game was played almost 60 years ago and keller is still alive! By the way you should add a bitcoin address for donations :)
Googling it right now
Thiago Silva still googling...

unbelievable attacking game.
And ok - and ok - and ok.
Not sure it's Agadmator or Ivanchuk :)

Chess genius, always expect the unexpected from him, what a great player.
"Tal is coming for you!" Truly scarifying words for even a chess master to hear!
Great video. Thank you for going into extra variations.
Tal is really the Magician!
Happy birthday Tal! Rest in piece you genius
Mikhail sacrificed himself
He always keeps his opponents in deep dark forest ☺☺☺
Love the videos man. Thank you!
and now I get why you admire Tal , that is one hell of a complication
Such a enjoyable game of Tal ! ¡
Holy smokes that rook he throwed at king with check must have shocked killer.. :D total Tal recipe
Tal was taking serious risks here.. he takes you down these crazy rabbit holes where up is down and down is up
At 5:20 after Re1 check Kd8 you missed Ne6 check forking the Queen.
After the Knight blocks the check by moving to b4, there is an elegant mate by Dc6+. The king is forced by check on d7 from a7 to b8 when Sc6 is mate. The magician doing his magic!
Wow what a game Mikhail Tal bravo!!
Tal is such amazing player ....v innovative ..but i wonder his fide rating is not up to mark
Krunal Patel at least 2600 fide
Ive run this game through stockfish and after move 23 black is actually hugely favored.
Finally a Tal I keep reading Tal in your comments and I tried to figure out where it comes from.
Wow,what a game 🙌🏼
This looks like Tal is simply having fun with this guy. Like he is playing with a 800 player..
Wtf...
Before there was Tiger Woods in golf, there was Tal in chess.
Better move: Ne6 instead of Rd1 @5:29?
At 11:00 why not bishop captures knight
Saving both check and the fork
Because the check is from rook as well
5:27
You missed the dangerous Ne6 agadmator
Check the descriptiom
Blaise N'kufo do we hashtag a response when we see that or what because I scrolled to find someone commenting about the Ne6... Aga did that on purpose, so seamlessly? So deceptive

you could feel the enormous pressure in his moves against tal
9:19 what about bishop taking pawn on f2? Maybe he would not have won still, but could have relieved some of that pressure for a play or two. At that point he had a material advantage but not a positional one.
Add more videos of Vishwanathan Anand, I'm a big fan of him
Magic!
Truely magical game
At the time of Tal rook capture bishop on e4, keller should play RxG3. As the f2 pawn is pinned h2 will capture the rook, and QxG3 will be another check. Also if king moves it is better for black
Great games. I am a recent fan. Have you posted Lasker vs GA Thomas. Lasker wins by hunting the black king across the board
I have, it's one of my earlier uploads
Magician from Rega
I totally agree with you Agadmador,,,,
At 5:25 of the video, there is a better move than taking the black rook. What about playing night e6 and forking the black king and queen?
Tal's style looks like from another dimension....
5:22Tal definitely won't fork the king and queen😅😂
I saw that too why did agad not discuss that
#suggestion - can you do a series on this tournament? Maybe after the Fischer series?? Excuse me if you have already covered it.
Did you miss knight to e6 @5:33?
@5:23
Jubair Siddeeque I doubt that he missed that. Just to add one more thing it's clearly said in the description that there's a better move in one of the analysis
I came here just to check if anyone else has seen that
Does anyone know what would happen if Fischer had won his game against Keller, and both Tal and Fischer would have tied with 11.5 points? Would they need to play some sort of a tiebreaker match?
Keller was really innocent here
Unbelievable how Tal can wreck havoc on the chess board! There isn't any move that he can't play. Sheer brilliancy...
@8:38 I feel like white could have played bishop f3... looks pretty strong to me unless I’m missing a line
can you show the Keller Fischer game? Bobby Fischer loses so few of his games would be interested in seeing how Keller beat him
Amazing game
I love tal,rashid,karpov games
3:35 this part with all the "before"s and "b4"s is quite confusing :P
Tal is my spirit animal
I love seeing Grand Masters blunder. It makes me feel better about myself.
Could Ne6 work for white at 5:20?
Forking King, Queen, and Bishop on f8?
Nevertheless, could win a dark squared bishop for less compensation in position, but potentially, white could end that position in a win.
7:07 - any idea why didn't Keller capture on e7?
I'm marking so that if any one answer I will know
"You are playing against Tal. You do not want to capture another pawn."
You dont want to capture a pawn? .. on rank 7? Against Tal? For that one needs a very good reason.
May be Tal smiled at him
So why?
Great again
At 5:28, instead of rook a to d1, isn't Ne6 better? It checks the king and forks the bishop and the queen.
Botvinnik said about Tal: if he ever offers a piece, always take it (but never take one if Petrosian offers it), but Botvinnik kept the rest of the advice to himself: but you're not me...
Stockfish has the right moves, but Tal has magical Power on his opponents
@5:23 simply knight to e6
I guess he can just recapture with his own knight on b8
The boy got TALent.
Now I finally know who the person who's always on top of Agadmator
"but Tal is coming for you". Be scared be very scared!!!
All he had to do was capture that pawn with the rook and he actually could've won the game, he had much more pieces, and just had to play accurately and coordinate his pieces. But I agree Tal complicates the positions and puts them in time trouble
12:02, maybe Keller didn't bother about the e7 pawn because he has a rook at a8 that could capture it immediately?
that is just brilliant..
At 5:24 knight e6 was possible to fork king and queen instead of taking rook.
