Even that early on, Michael had the moves, especially that spin which he's perfected since that time. One of my fav. performances of theirs and the song is such a groove!!
The Jacksons & Osmonds were the two best known and loved youthful oriented family bands of the 1970s. You could not go long on AM music radio without hearing them.
NOT TRUE... that was the MAIN reason papa Joe got HIS boys OUT of Motown/so they could write and produce their own mature music... Motown wouldn't let them grow-up. they, the brothers were maturing. but the people at Motown still wanted them still doing bubble gum pop music.
@@mysticakhenaton1701 What does any of that have to do with what I said? lol Anyway, Dancing Machine crossed them over to adult, just like "Can you stand the rain" crossed New Edition over to adult.
This was their last hit as The Jackson 5ive. They left Motown(who owns the name), Jermaine stayed behind, Randy officially joins, and they became The Jacksons.
No..Randy is already in the group He's on the bongos in this video😊 Randy joined in 1972... The video is on RUclips when the Jackson 5.. Introduced him as the new member
@NicholasGreen-b6e You're correct about that, but they were still The Jackson 5ive even with him in the group. He wasn't elevated to dance in line with the rest of them until Jermaine left. I should've worded it better before.
The Jackson family are a musical dynasty! Randy on the bongos in the video grew up to be a great songwriter and played many instruments, contributing a lot of songwriting and production on both the Triumph and Victory albums. Joe Jackson pushed them hard and there were sacrifices but it bought out their musical excellence! Toriano (Tito)🙏 and Michael🙏Happy New Year!
that Robot dance, was BIG back then. the LAST #1 on the R&B charts on Motown for those guys. I AM LOVE. was there LAST BIG hit on Motown. off that album, for the brothers.
Michael Jackson helping to popularize the dance craze called 'the Robot" during this era. May not be a big deal to the average person but definitely a significant milestone for all urban/street dancers and dance lovers.
Jermaine and Tito could PLAY --.some of the licks they threw down were really funky. I've listened lots to their first 5 Motown LP'd and gotta give 'em props for da chops.especially since they were just kids. I always thought they were less successful on the Epic label because they didn't have the Motown musicians backing or the songwriting of H.D.H.
Happy New Year. I think the Jackson 5 were a dancing machine. This is a not one of their best known, but a good and funky track. Michael always stood out.
Two of my favorite songs of all time are by Michael Jackson from the Music and Me album HAPPY (the theme song from Lady Sings the Blues) and WITH A CHILDS HEART
Dang girl, being old and crusty this video brought me back to the early '70's when I was a kid and reminded me of the string of hits the Partridge Family (TV sitcom) had with teen idol David Cassidy. Cheesy songs but they were catchy. Maybe you would be interested in reacting to a few (I woke up in love this morning, I think I love you, Rainmaker, I Can Feel your Heartbeat.....). ruclips.net/video/wJYSu2OVCGM/видео.html Peace out
Have you reacted to Jermaine Jackson as a solo artist yet? If not, Let’s Get Serious, and Tickle Your Fancy are 2 of his songs you should put on your list.
Gotta say was not a Jackson fan AFTER the split!! And I'll say in my opinion WHO'S LOVING YOU ❣️ by the Jackson 5 is Michael Jackson's most epic vocal!! So their rival would be The Osmond Brothers. ONE BAD APPLE 🍎 was their biggest hit I believe!? You can do the audio, find a live (lip sync?) or the animated version from their cartoon. Great Reaction! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
Well I guess I understand you you got the right to choose what song you like we all do by the way Happy New Year's for 2025 but I don't think Michael Jackson got the orange Becky deserved before he died it seems like all the entertainers get respected when you're gone but not enough respect when they're alive give me the flowers while they're alive so what do you think
I don't mean to be a bother Mrs Angela when ever you get a chance on your own dear time will please listen and share Mr. Morris Day and The Time's hit song lyrics Girl thank you and you, and your wonderful family have a blessed 2025 New Year!🙏 in God and Jesus Amen
Michael Jackson was 16 in this video. He's doing a dance called "The Robot."
Actually this was from March 1974, so Michael was 15 at the time. He would turn 16 in August '74.
This made my day, imagine someone doing that and you don't know what is happening, beauty of this channel

MJ❤ THE GOAT 🐐
Bringing back memories of them rocking this on Soul Train🎼🔥💃🏾🕺🏾
This was the song that crossed them over from kiddies to adults.

@@NicholasGreen-b6e Randy was never an official member of the Jackson 5, only The Jacksons. Once Jermaine left, the Jackson 5 was no more.
Thanks for reacting to my favorite group, Happy New Year Angela.😊

They were so so great!! Nice memory! 😊
One of my favorites when I was a kid.
For me....Michael is THE greatest dancer/performer of ALL TIME!!! GOAT
MJ was the greatest. Blessed by God he was. Much missed.
Always makes me smile and move. Genius

Carol & sonny and Cher loved having them on their show

It always seemed like MJ had extra joints in his legs or something. lol. His movements dancing were always something special.
Michael was a gift to the world. Incredible entertainer. Great family group. I have several favorites from J5, the this is probably my top choice.
The hand drums Randy is playing are called, ‘congas’.
The Jackson 5 was a great group who had many great songs. Lovely Angela.
🌸 aaahhhh, Michael...💔

That robot dance was off the hook
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you!!!
Amazing
Cool reaction. Shared w peeps. U would probably appreciate prince doing "house quake" live from either 1987 or 1988
Back before MJ made his sad transition.
The vitiligo that he allegedly had? The plastic surgery?
?? Elaborate
I only acknowledge the hard work these guys put in over the years!
What transition, and why was it sad?
🤩
Please react to "working day and night" by the Jackson 5!
You will love the beat!
Mive Angela!!😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Mc Hammer did a cover/ remake of this song. Worth a listen.
