  • Heres a video explaining what to check if you bmw will crank but not fire. Codes it were throwing
    2db6- valvetronic relay:activation line disconnection.
    371e- relay on ignition and injecion systems:line disconection

    Haha, just saw your first video of the car, and I was going to ask how it's been. Then i see this pop up 5 hours ago... damn son these BMW's really are a problem aren't they?

    I changed my crankshaft sensor cause it was the code then turned the key over it crank but giving no spark

    hi guys, i have a BMW 07 E81 and my problem is sometimes the car won't start, just cranks and the funny thing is just when i turn the engine off and decide to turn it back on. also, when it happens i hear this click sound somewhere in the dash then when i try afterwards it starts, any idea?

    Man I had a problem with the alternator I replaced it with a new one now my car won't start it just crank like the the power is being cut off

      u fix it? mine is doing the same cranking but no start i changed starter and fuel pimp

    An e90 I’ve just bought is cranking but no start, I have all sorts of lights on the dash relating to chassis issues tpms abs tc and zero communication from the dme. Hoping the dme relay is bad but will check this too

    I have the same codes: 2db6- valvetronic relay:activation line disconnection.
    371e- relay on ignition and injecion systems:line disconection , i replaced the box, it did not help. My car is X5 2011 E70 N55. There has to be more to this. Maybe your car just needed a reset.

      Your dme may not be getting a ground somewhere. Or it may not be getting power, all cables connections look okay? I would suggest checking the ground strap the goes from the engine to the frame.

      @@brettkrehling8738 Thanks for the reply. I checked the cable looks intact. Can i test it with a jumper cable? Any instructions? I would connect the jumper cable to that ground strap and other end to somewhere maybe on the engine. Where is the negative terminal on the engine bay?

      @@samdell2110 Typically on the N 55 engine the ground strap runs from the driver side of the bottom of the engine to either the subframe or the frame of the car, could be a bit different on your chassis but you would just have to do some research. A quick way to check you could run a ground from the top of the engine where the front strut goes and connect it to another ground point of the engine and you could test it easily that way

    When I got into an accident I just hammered that pyro fuse back into place and all was good.

      @@whiteout7533 take off that red cover on the battery in the trunk. There will be a chamber that contained a little explosive that bends the mental contact out of place when the airbags deploy. I used a rubber mallet to hammer it back into place. The car started right up.

      To decide your battery condition there is two ways , 1- battery connected to a working car should give you 14v on voltmeter and +12v if its disconnected from the car , anything under 12v will be bar battery, it might work with other cars but not high voltage to function germane car’s system
