Juju’s competition is Hannah Hidalgo and Paige Beuckers. Two way dominant College players need to be compared to college players. Comparing Juju to professional player is lazy when there are so many amazing women’s basketball players in college rn.
It's just one game, and finally a good one for USC. Juju and Caitlin should not be compared. With that being said, Juju is growing in her game, so despite the media push... the talent is real.
The downside is it is a lie. Neither Paige nor JuJu are in the same class as Caitlin, not even close. It is done for clicks or viewers, and the people saying it know it is a lie.
What I like about the juju and Caitlin comparison is that people can actually talk about juju without putting down Caitlin. I feel like that’s the problem with the Paige comparison. They always have to put Caitlin down to uplift Paige. I like juju and she’s very good in her own way. But so is Hannah. I like the comparison. It doesn’t bother me. And I think for Caitlin as a competitor, when these players do get compared to her, I bet it drives her to be better.
When CC and Paige were both freshmen, CC was clearly the better player: CC. PB PPG 26.6 20.1 RPG 5.9 4.9 APG 7.0 5.8 SPG 1.3 2.3 BPG. 0.5 0.4 In spite of CC leading PB in four of the five major statistical categories, and Caitlin being the NCAA Division I scoring leader for her freshman year, Paige received more hype and ALL of the Player of the Year awards, except she shared National Co-Freshman of the Year with Caitlin. Apparently, they did such a good job of putting down Caitlin and over-hyping Paige that they ended up giving the POY awards to the wrong person.
@ yeah I mean, I agree, but it’s also like Paige didn’t have horrible stats. So the freshman year thing doesn’t really bother me. It’s just been everything after.
@ oh please. Absolutely NOBODY puts juju down like Caitlin gets put down. Just like Paige doesn’t get put down. It’s always CC. And nobody’s talking about the Twitter trolls. I’m talking about the sports media.
@@katharineschott9125 Paige had Uconn privilege. Uconn had a huge reputation in 2020. Iowa wasn't nearly as well known when they both were freshmen. Uconn had the much bigger hype train and media machine. Lastly, due to Covid, the nation wasn't paying as much attention to womens basketball as the public eyes were elsewhere. NCAA tournament was cancelled due to Covid. CC did have a better year statistically.
Juju doesnj't seem to have anything like the basketball IQ of Caitlin, though she's at least aggressive enough (frankly a little too aggressive). I'd say Paige kinda has both problems- she's too passive and her efficiency masks the fact that she doesn't have Clark's ability to manipulate defenses. Of the two, I'd take Juju, but neither seems a legitimate threat to Clark's legacy.
@robinlungberg I agree that Caitlin isn’t appreciated on how much of a phenomenon she is, or on how great of a player that she is. So instead of 6 of every 10 podcasts made by content creators concerning women’s basketball being about the greatness of Caitlin Clark or on who compares to her, let’s try to make it every 8 or 9 podcasts on YT praising how great she is. Also let’s keep up the narrative that if anyone say’s something positive about any other women’s basketball player not named Caitlin Clark, then they are hating on CC.
Ju Ju is very good but isn't even leading the league in scoring and she has hardly any assists. Clark averaged 27 points per game and led the nation in assists her sophomore year. She had 32 ppg her senior year, Ju Ju will not be able to break the scoring record and they're putting too much pressure on her.
Since a lot of people are weighing in, I’ll add my two cents. Juju is a tremendous athlete with a lot of skills, CC is probably not as athletic as Juju but she has a much higher BB IQ. That is what separates those two players.
Caitlin was a BAD defender at the start of the WNBA year and her game improved a Sh!T ton (Offensively and her team defense) throughout the year. Caitlin as a college player is comparable to JuJu but after her W year she would wipe the floor with JuJu.
Not like CC last year. Like CC in her sophomore year. Hannah has a long way to go, but she is worthy of praise and elevated coverage. She also has to contend with being 6" shorter. That is going to present an issue at some point.
Stop with the CC talk! She is a pro now! I couldn’t imagine Jordan being consistently compared to college kids. Why is she not being compared to Wilson, Stewart or other professional players. Let the college kids be themselves without constantly dragging her in the convo. Jeez!
It seems to me that Juju has already reached cc and will soon surpass it, he has already surpassed it in earnings and in Nike's history and will soon surpass its records. And cc despite how many people will see the retirement of his jersey he will not survive long having lost his fan base which will surely be replaced by new ones who will however be woke and therefore not exactly on his side
You were an intern. Apparently it didn't work out for you which is why you're a fanboy of CC now. Make your money now because CC isn't a rookie anymore. She's going to be compared to vets now. Shiny new toy is over. Next up, Paige Bueckers. 2027 is when the WNBA will explode. That class is unreal
Dude you are trying to revert everything to Caitlyn Clark and it is so obvious. Juju is the real deal and already is taller and more athletic. She is not the player Clark is yet but getting there and surpassing her is inevitable.
Juju is incredible…. But why are they not talking about Hidalgo who has beat both juju and Paige? T’Niya is better than them both as well. The down side to going to FSU. Wish they’d play some teams to get more tv coverage.
You all keep pushing a narrative that is not close. You are all setting her up for failure.Clark is generational juju is not.Her and Paige don't move the needle
Juju isn’t even as good as Hannah Hidalgo this year. Hannah is outscoring Juju and at a more efficient rate. Not only that, Hannah is out-rebounding Juju who is 8 inches taller. Will be interesting to see how the two stack up against each other (and vs. Paige) in the tournament.
Paige looks like she needs to gain weight. She has been injured multiple times, how much of that is affecting her game? Unless Paige is a winner, now she’s a failure? Very sad.
Thing is, clark is a defensive liability. Juju is the only player in the nation to average 2 blocks and 2 steals per game. She can give you buckets from anywhere on the court where clark isn't great outside of 3 point shooting. She has juju in assists and thats about it. When you can lead your team to the elite 8 as a freshman while breaking the record for points for a freshman and battle with the elite teams this early in your college career, i would most definitely put her above anyone. That's what he means by the complete package. Clark isn't giving you anything on defense lol
@ cmon man you brought up those stats 😂 CC did just fine defensively after the break. The entire Fever team had no clue how to play D. That’s going to change with the new coach.
She really is better but these people who frequent this channel don't have a clue about basketball. Clark don't impress me. .. at least not yet. She is just another good player in the WNBA!!!
CC fans post in every podcast their hate for other players by saying, they aren’t as good as CC. Even in something about an NBA player, they will find a way to interject Caitlin’s name in the conversation. Check the comments, it happens in every podcast concerning woman’s basketball, that’s why people call CC fans a cult, they are relentless going after anyone not named Caitlin Clark. Their logic is if you like anyone other than Clark, then you are hating on Caitlin. That’s how they think, even if you don’t mention Caitlin, you are hating on her because you didn’t join their religious fascination of Clark.
Uh, no. They will be in the WNBA in the future, they are not the future. Big difference. If some event were to prevent both from even being drafted, nothing of the WNBA would change at all. If that same event prevented Clark from returning for her 2nd year. Attendance, viewership, revenue would all tank.
@@basilfawlty241 Let me rephase that. Ju Ju and Hildalgo will be two of the best players in the WNBA. The comment about Clark doesn't even need a response it's so ridiculous. The WNBA has been going on for over 20 years. I watched when Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, Tina Thompson, Swin Cash, Cheryl Swoops, Weatherspoon, Cheryl Miller, and all the greats use to play. THE WNBA IS NOT GOING NO WHERE WITH OR WITHOUT CLARK!!! PERIOD!!!
@@denisebailey3226 Uh, are you just making this stuff up as you go. Cheryl Miller did not play in the WNBA. I'm not overly concerned that you believe my comment is ridiculous, because you are completely delusional. With all of the hype, fanfare, and resentment. The viewership numbers, and attendance numbers are up, only to the level in which people did watch Cynthia Cooper.
@@basilfawlty241 Just spoke with my husband and he said Cheryl Miller played in college but not the WNBA. He is an advid basketball fan. He could answer any question you have about the game. I dont have to make things. It was years and years ago. I remember watching Reggie, her brother in the NBA, but I thought both played professional. She was a hell of a player in college then. I think it's wonderful that the viewership is up. That's great for women's basketball. Thanks to Angel Reese and Clark. Thanks to players like Cooper and Swoop who paved the way for them both!!!
@@denisebailey3226 Im glad your husband was able to confirm that Cheryl did not play in the WNBA. I'm torn about if it's a good thing the viewership is up. Its good for women's basketball, but the WNBA is more about activism than basketball. And their activism needs to go, it's the primary reason the league has been a failure, and that is bad for women's basketball. Renee Montgomery and Shiela Johnson are bad for Women's basketball. Reese had no more impact than Jackson or Brink. The increase is 98.9% because of Clark. Cooper was awesome, still is. But they did not pave any ways. This nonsense has got to stop. They were given a league to play in, they did not create it. They have been bailed out every single year for their financial shortage. These players, and perhaps more importantly, the WNBA management they played for, are failures. They failed to build anything successful. The only difference between the WNBA and every other professional women's basketball league, is they did not have an ongoing bailout by rich white billionaire. You aren't concerned at all about those that paved the way, or you would stop talking about the WNBA completely. Why not mention the WABA players? They were founded 15 years or so before the WNBA. But don't take that as a personal attack, you are not different from the rest that are saying the same thing.
Robin Lunberg, let me correct you on something, you either are lying or don't know, but Caitlin Clark is not the highest scorer for the 2024 WNBA. Let me give you the list: #1. A'Ja Wilson. #2. Akrike Ogunbowale. #3. Kaheah Cooper. #4.Breanna Stewart. 5#. Caitlin Clark. Go look up and verify. Caitlin Clark the highest scorer among rookies but not WNBA players. That's a damn lie. And since Clark never won a championship, you can compare any female player as long as her game is good. Now as far super stardom, that's another story. Jordan said his damn self,"if I never won a championship, you could compare any basketball player to me but I won six championships." Championships matter. Clark folded in that game against South Carolina for the championship. She blew a 20-point lead and was slowed sown by Raven Johnson so stop it with the Clark hype machine and and lies.
When people keep saying nobody's on Caitlin Clark's level what level what did she do that separates her from everybody else. She's never won a national championship.
LOL championships are a team thing bringing a team full of 3 star recruits to the chip 2 years in a row is some goat shit but without a team to back her up like the other teams had she wasn't winning one.
Here is yet another who forgets that BB is a TEAM sport, and confusing team accomplishment and individual accomplishment, where no matter how great someone is, they cannot win titles on their own. Can MJ win rings if his teammates are kindergarten kids? CC had 17 triple Ds in college (in addition to being the all time NCAA scoring leader). She is the only rookie to have triple Ds in WNBA, longest 3 point avg distance in both NBA and WNBA at 28 ft and 1.1 inches. CC has broken or set too many record to even list them all here.
@@inertial6 you didn't say that when the Fever had Mitchell, consistent all-star player, Boston who was the UNANIMOUS Rookie of the Year, Smith who also plays good, Wheeler who is a vet. and they played the Sky who literally had a brand new coach and most of the players were new except for three, and one had a injury and out for the season, their vet, after the first game.
This is crazy. A great white player comes along and overshadows the entire league, including the MVP A'ja. So now the scramble is on to promote someone, anyone, to a position of hyped up prominence to take the "face of the W" away from CC. There are half a dozen college women players that have "potential" and Juju is only one of them. Hannah Hidalgo given the chance may be better. Several more to finish out college will tell tell real truth of the matter.
IT'S NOT just scoring 30 points and dishing 10 assist, but the way Caitlin put up those stats is what makes the difference
Is Juju a point guard? If not there is no comparison and people should stop comparing them. Juju is Juju her own woman and style. She is good.

In spite of CC leading PB in four of the five major statistical categories, and Caitlin being the NCAA Division I scoring leader for her freshman year, Paige received more hype and ALL of the Player of the Year awards, except she shared National Co-Freshman of the Year with Caitlin.
It’s just been everything after.
but they put down Ju Ju for Caitlin but I guess that is okay with you as long as its reversed.
I just watched some of CC college games, JuJu is no CC, very good player but no CC.
Good job...your analysis is right on the nail head!
Everyone forcing motion for Watkins the clark has 😂😂😂
Since a lot of people are weighing in, I’ll add my two cents. Juju is a tremendous athlete with a lot of skills, CC is probably not as athletic as Juju but she has a much higher BB IQ. That is what separates those two players.
JUJU is also like 4 years younger than her. Juju is coming. The debate is fun. Paige saw...
@ absolutely correct! Once Juju starts playing chess rather than checkers, it’ll be a different conversation.
@@JimFerguson-yq9eu USC should run Juju at point. She kind of does it anyway. If she could improve her passing lights out
@@haroldchairs4434 and it would improve her court vision. Not sure if Juju wants to be a PG or SG. She’s really good off ball.
@ I think she is playing a point forward role. She has her hands on the ball all of the time. USC needs that
Well said, Robin 💪🏽!
These arguments are settled on the court, not on RUclips.
Juju's next challenge is to prove herself against Hannah Hildalgo, on the court.
Juju is better
Embrace the comparisons. Caitlin Clark is the gold standard. Everybody is going to be compared to her.
The Gold Standard of what ?....
Women’s basketball
@@TheRobinLundberg 👎🏿 she had a good start. The gold standard never won anything
@TheRobinLundberg if Juju could have went in last year's draft. The fever would have had a serious debate
@@haroldchairs4434 lol 🤣 bait used to be believable. Have fun trolling 🫡
Caitlin was a BAD defender at the start of the WNBA year and her game improved a Sh!T ton (Offensively and her team defense) throughout the year. Caitlin as a college player is comparable to JuJu but after her W year she would wipe the floor with JuJu.
Ju Ju and Hildalgo is better than Clark right now. 1 on 1 they would eat her alive.
Evidently A'ja Wilson must be the Jordan of the league, because I never hear her name.
I disagree with Stephen A. We should be talking about HANNAH HIDALGO like how we did CC last year
Not like CC last year. Like CC in her sophomore year. Hannah has a long way to go, but she is worthy of praise and elevated coverage.
She also has to contend with being 6" shorter. That is going to present an issue at some point.
Juju not as good as Clark or Hannah but she is a slight superstar player
Chasing recorloses games and titles
Stop with the CC talk! She is a pro now! I couldn’t imagine Jordan being consistently compared to college kids. Why is she not being compared to Wilson, Stewart or other professional players. Let the college kids be themselves without constantly dragging her in the convo. Jeez!
Probably, because juju is on pace to break her records
We all know Juju is not comparable to Caitlin. Look at Ta’Niya Laton. She is the #1 scorer in college not Juju or Paige. This is media hype
Good Sir, Sabrina just signed to Unrivaled and Dallas hired a new head coach. Just some video ideas for you.
Who is he? 2025 i challenge people to kill the word "woke" it is a lazy term for describing something that usually doesnt even apply.
Algorithm comment 😊
Dude you are trying to revert everything to Caitlyn Clark and it is so obvious. Juju is the real deal and already is taller and more athletic. She is not the player Clark is yet but getting there and surpassing her is inevitable.
Juju will be one of the best players ever in WNBA if she stays healthy. Watch! If Juju was at UConn, she would win the national championship.
Juju is better than Hannah relax. Hannah system player Juju is the system
@@haroldchairs4434Hannah is the main cog that keeps the machine moving. Most certainly carries the most load for her team
@@oil9tankersultaccount805 she is...she great. I have to see her some more.
Paige looks like she needs to gain weight. She has been injured multiple times, how much of that is affecting her game? Unless Paige is a winner, now she’s a failure? Very sad.
Juju Watkins is 🐐🐐🐐
Thing is, clark is a defensive liability.
You understand CC was #3 in total blocks and #7 total steals among guards. In WNBA not colllege. 😂
@CodyCha man those stats are nothing lol anyone with eyes can see that Clark doesn't play defense.
@ cmon man you brought up those stats 😂 CC did just fine defensively after the break. The entire Fever team had no clue how to play D. That’s going to change with the new coach.
@CodyCha she was garbage on defense in college as well lol.
@ what offensive player play D in modern basketball. I can count on one hand. CC is no more defensive liability than Steph Curry is.
hannah hidalgo to me is better than ju ju
Juju not even the best player in the country
This man said Hannah Hidalgo in better than JUJU. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What happened when they went head to head?
What happened when raven Johnson went head to head with Clark? Lol
JujuWatkins is better than CC
if you're comparing sophomore to sophomore there's a discussion to be had. If you mean in absolute terms in the here and now, please stop clowning.
Nope but keep trying, hell Hidalgo is better than JuJu.
She really is better but these people who frequent this channel don't have a clue about basketball. Clark don't impress me. .. at least not yet. She is just another good player in the WNBA!!!
@@denisebailey3226 I agree. You certainly do not understand basketball.
Hannah Hidalgo is on a another level she better than juju and Caitlin Clark
Ju Ju and Hildalgo are the future of woman's basketball. Excited to see them two come in the WNBA. Hildalgo breaking records already. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When will the Stans realize that breaking records and popularity don't win championships. Thats the end goal period!
She is just another good player in the WNBA. That's all!!!!
@@inertial6 She can break as many records as she wants and Mitchell will still be the best on that Fever team!!! PERIOD!!!
