► Okay, I will do my You Pick I Vid videos as soon as I can, and I was going to save this one for there too, BUT I couldn't wait :D It would have took too long haha!
I love this song so very much and even it's overused right now, I wanted to vid my bbs with it! ;) Because, can you hear it? It SCREAMS for them. Obviously written for them, hehe.
Actually, making this video made me compare the book and the movie. And one thing bothers me, it has always bothered me about the movie. Why, why and why they made Rhett confess his love for Scarlett on the garden? He never did that. The first time he confessed his love and affection was when he was drunk and hiding his face on Melanie's skirts. Before that it was pretty much between lines or desiring Scarlett or that time before he went to the war and he kissed Scarlett on the dark street before they separated. But he never did that sit down "I love you Scarlett" thing. Not until the end when it was too late.
I know that when books are adapted to movies or TV-series, there's always things that have to change or left away or put events together or something, but this one has always been on of those "why" things. The book's Rhett would have never confessed his love to Scarlett so "without a pride" as in the movie.
Okay, this wasn't very important, but I wanted to share it anyway, haha :D
Enjoy this little video ! :) I'll be back with the top-10 videos as soon as I finish them. ;)

Rhett and Scarlett are literally everything
HandwrittenHoran verdade
The movie is amazing , but the book is even better , as a person who has read it.One of the greatest love stories ever .. for a reason .. the video is very beautiful !
Caroline-Mathilde Yep the book is twice a better but the movie itself is epic too! Thanks for all the comments you left, it means a lot
You're welcome..i just couldn't watch all of those beautiful things and not writing comments.. :) You may have written it somewhere..but I haven't paid attention to it..so i'm sorry if that's the case..have you read the book? :)
Caroline-Mathilde YES. There is no doubt in my mind she loved him. She was hardened. But she did love him. And I don't think he ever stopped loving her.
Great book about two complicated people - but wouldn't consider it a love story.
How can people who love each other not communicate...what a waste of happiness together🙏❤️
Never give up. This movie was one of the greatest love stories of all time. I think if the book had continued, they would have reunited...
Not even Vivian Leigh believed he would go back to her. He was done.
Clark Gable is quoted as saying as Rhett "no I would not go back", and M.Mitchell also told Clark when he asked her she said "no he wouldn't"!!
They would have.
Oh ok thr trauma of being called a murderer by Scarlett--would devastate him - something he could never forget. She symbolized all love for Scarlett that he couldnt show, brcause.she would have hurt him. He is 100% done
@@teribradshaw-milling3164 Well, these aren't real people, so it's neither here nor there, but imo they would have gotten back together.
greatest fictional couple of all time.Rhett & Scarlett
Izabela Gomez Yes they are
I heard this was based on Margaret Mitchell's real life romance.
It's so perfect and it hurts so bad.
Derongelo Jeres Aw, thanks
"And I... will swallow my pride". It moves me to tears everytime I listen to it. Gosh, what powerful words!
Maybe we're all arrogant, egoistic and too scared to express our love. That's why I can't get over "Gone With The Wind" after all these years.
Thank you so much for your great song choice and nice editing work! 🧡
I was bawling with tears... :'( So sad and tragic
LEMONSareGREAT97 Aww, well, thanks a lot
Of course, this song seems to represent Rhett's psyche more than Scarlett's, but what's amazing about the lyrics is that the singer says he loves his lover, so Rhett must love Scarlett even though he claims not to in the movie and book. I am hopeful they reunite soon, as there are many indications in the book that they will, despite Margaret Mitchell's claim that her ending is open ended. This is such a beautiful video for the best fictional couple ever. Thank you.
He loved her in the book - told her twice - at Rough and Ready and After Ashley's birthday party - but Scarlett ignored him.
@@teribradshaw-milling3164 Nice.
If I am honest, this is my OTP of all OTPs. I had no idea people made mvids for them! I will never work again, LOL. What a gorgeous vid. Thank you!!
Haha, well I do make videos of them, a lot actually ;D Thanks a lot for your kind words, they're much appreciated
Love this video. I've never got around to reading the book but I can imagine that has Rhett declared his love for Scarlett as in the film she would have said it back. What's so endearing about this film and what makes it stand the test of time is it is so real, no happy ending, it's just like life in a way and it teaches us to forget our stubborn pride and appreciate what we have in our lives. I have no doubt in my mind Scarlett would have gotten Rhett back and he finally would have spoilt her the way he wanted to forever. Best on screen couple ever the chemistry was so strong 💕 please make more videos like these 🙂
Rtn Saleem Ahmad Khan is it possible that you just did a copy paste from the comment below?
In the book they bring out that Rhett felt if he declared his love, Scarlett would use it against him. Down deep he was afraid of her. They were actually much nastier to each other in the book than in the movie.
Rtn Saleem Ahmad Khan - So much more happens in the book, many more characters too. Take your time and savor it. Both the book and the movie are life changing. I wish the movie was 8 hours long !
Rtn Saleem Ahmad Khan - Disagree. Scarlett did not get Rhett back. He was done !
@@dallasjones8185 I READ THE BOOK, THE BOOK WAS MORE DETAILED THAN THE MOVIE. IT WOULD BE AT LEAST 8 HRS. IF IT WAS BY THE BOOK.
seeing this now makes me cry :(..I watched this movie 6 times in one day and 6 times the next. it’s my favorite movie
Oh, this was so gorgeous and tragic! The song is perfect for them!
Very interesting video. I have seen GWTW over 50 times and with this slow-motion technique I have notices subtle expressions on both actors that I never noticed before.
As Scarlett would say...GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!!! This video is amazing omg i'm nearly in tears. such a freaking tragedy that Scarlett was too stupid to see Rhett was so in love with her! Thanks for sharing this video, I truly love it so much.
Loved this film - clark and vivien chemistry! Gutted to see the film ended with a sad ending. 😭
Well, I always watch your GWTW videos and I have to tell you that I really, really love them. And it was because of them that I watched/read GWTW and fell in love for it, so, thank YOU very very much
Aww, bless you for this comment
Yeah, there are some differences in the adaptation that makes you think that Scarlett had the biggest fault on their separation. Although I really LOVE the movie I can't ignore it :/ There's another scene, on Melly's funeral which Rhett sees Scarlett hugging Ashley and that makes you think that maybe if it haven't happened, Rhett wouldn't have left Scarlett (at least, I thought when I first saw the movie). When in the book Rhett don't even go to Melly's funeral, he had already decided to leave Scarlett :/
Yes, you did! I was looking your videos and then I found this ScarlettxRhett video named "I tought I could make her care" and I felt like I should watch it. Best decision of my life
Andy Wenky
I think the funeral or deathbed scene wasn't that bad. Without it their break up would have seemed to come out of nowhere. I guess in that scene the makers wanted to sum up the reason why Rhett lefts Scarlett: She was stubbornly loving Ashley and always thinking about Ashley, even now when Melly had died Scarlett fell for Ashley's arms instead of Rhett's. I guess that scene made sense in that way, because it didn't changed anyone's character. Just a one scene. There always has to be many compromises while adapting book to a movie. Especially when GWTW is a damn long book, it was really hard for them to make understandable plot out of it. I've watched a document about making this movie. I can just roll my eyes for the madness it was :D
Aw, I'm so happy my video made you watch it! It's really the best compliment I can ever imagine!
And don't apologize your English, it's totally fine! I really can't judge anyone by their English skills, since I don't speak it that well either haha :D
Yeah, I know that. And I really like this scene, Rhett's face when he sees Scarlett hugging Ashley breaks my heart into little pieces :'c But, when I first saw the movie this scene made me think that maybe it could be different if Rhett haven't seen it. Of course that after I read the book I realized that it wasn't exactly because of that scene, Rhett left Scarlett for many reasons.
Anyway, I really love the adaptation even with the little differences, for me it's one of the best movie adaptation from all the times!
About the documentary: do you know where can I find it? I would really LOVE to see it
Andy Wenky I know, it could have gone differently, but I guess it was okay decision. :) At least I'm okay with it haha :D
I think the writers adapted the book very well, since it's so long and has so many different places and people and themes - I guess they made the best version they could, picking all the important pieces and leaving behind all the pieces that didn't mattered so much. Like Wade and Emma and Will Benteen and even Archie. And all other people.
I had the document on my GWTW's 70th anniversary DVD massive collection, but I'm sure I've seen it on youtube too. I just can't remember what was the name of it, but it was something like "Gone with the Wind: Making the Legend"
I guess, not sure. I can't check it out now, but if you don't find it anywhere, tell me and I'll figure it out :D
That was beautiful! Loved it.
breaks my heart every time !!
Oh my God, amazing video! Made me want to cry!

What a love story ! So sad they parted .. they were truely meant for each other why didnt he try just a little more .. doesant he know she cares . The film was truly wounderful but powerful ..
It's so beautiful ❤
Rhett is a "WINNER 🏆" he left narcissistic Scarlett" 👏😂
Hey I understand that you made this video a long time ago but I've actually only just read the description now!😂
I completely agree with you the movie was completely biased against Scarlett - it was very black and white; scarlett was bad and Rhett was good. It was never black and white like that, I'm just glad to see that someone else agrees. Btw the video is stunning!
hey, thank you for dropping a comment! yeah, in the book things were much more complex and id say both rhett and scarlett were pretty much idiots :D rhett was not an angel towards scarlett but rather quite mean after bonnie was born.. though it was mainly caused by scarlett's behavior.. oh, i should read the book again, i love it so much!!
and thank you !
tiukudaa I agree although I believe that the blame falls on Rhett because he was dishonest to Scarlett throughout their entire marriage and he never respected her at all. Scarlett never realised that her obsession with Ashley hurt Rhett because she thought he didn't care for her. How was she to know if he never told her? He demanded honesty but he never returned the courtesy😔
good point! but remember that scarlett was very eager to use rhett's love against him, like in the morning after rhett had "raped" her (though i think she was very willing so i don't think it was rape at all) she was overjoyed when she realised rhett loves her and she instantly planned to make him suffer... so i think rhett had a very good reason to keep his feelings to himself. i think their whole relationship was very complex and they were both to blame.. and id say deep inside both they were too prideful to succesfully love each other.. rhett was cruel but so was scarlett...
tiukudaa I agree on one hand and on the other I also believe that Rhett should have been honest with Scarlett - he would've spared everyone a lot of pain. He was also much older than Scarlett and he had much more experience with relationships. He showed more respect to belle than he did to Scarlett and I don't think that was fair.
tiukudaa I also believe that although Scarlett would have tried to make Rhett suffer I can also see why. Throughout the course of their marriage Rhett enjoyed mocking and humiliating Scarlett simply because he liked to watch her lose her temper - it was cruelly entertaining. And because of that, I believe that it was only natural for Scarlett to want to have the upper hand for once.
ele a amava tanto tanto a música é perfeita
Amazing video. I was wonder if you could do a video about them with the song BLOODSPORT, I think it fits perfectly! Bye.
