The way she sings is absolute not easy to accomplish:
She doesn't hide behind tremolo, bendings a.s.o.
To leave the most notes like a tone of a pushed piano note,
    needs absolute training, knowledge.

@MR-fx9gg One thing. Oftentimes the ear pieces you see are In-Ear monitors. I use them myself. The stage is VERY loud. We get our mix in our ears and can turn it down. I've got tinnitus-and I love coming home after a gig and my ears not ringing more than they already are. Wish I had done it sooner-I have a terrible time hearing people properly in crowded places.

I lived in West Los Angeles (off Santa Monica Blvd) in the mid-late 1980's (best time, ever, to be there), and Sade's gorgeous tones filled the air(waves) courtesy of one incredible "smooth jazz" FM radio (no satellite XM bullshit) station, KUTE, that -- sadly -- "signed-off" for the last time all-too-soon. Hardly a day went by -- much less an hour -- that KUTE didn't broadcast her incredible music into the balmy breezes off Southern California's coast.

Sade isn’t Jazz music though. She’s R&B and Soul predominantly. I mean sure there’s jazz influences here and there but she isn’t a jazz artist. A modern jazz song would sound something like Amy Winehouse’s album Frank. Besides, Ella Fitzgerald is the undisputed queen of jazz.
