Lauryn sings effortlessly, she enjoys being live with the crew and the vocal result is even outmatching the radio edit we all know to my ears. I’ve rarely (if not ever) seen a live TV performance like this, you english folks were lucky.

Hearing this song immediately turns me back into a 4 year old toddler stomping around the kitchen, while my mother sang along to this track playing on our CD player She would listen to this while cooking food, thinking about her own mother (a singer whom herself sang this song) she passed when my mum was only 11 This song brought my mum closer to her mum, and now it does the same for me
I love this version of a true classic! The beat, the other voices and lyrics going on in the background..it could be a complete mess but it works and is absolutely beautiful!
I remember watching this on tv in the 90s and it blew me away (I was waiting to watch Crowded House who were on the same show). It has stayed with me for nearly 30 years, such a great performance.

Exactly! Ms. Hill is kind of once in a lifetime type of person. It's always a pleasure to see and/or listen.
in a documentary-her classmates said they started crying when she sang
