Your fairground needs an entrance
I figure people just wander in. The farm / carousel will be the main entrance direction. A few vendors and a ticket office there!
This is the best Lego You Tube channel, no one is doing such amazing things as you are with this city, it is incredible. Great job.
Yay, thank you. Lovely praise indeed. Nom nom!
Looking so cool!! I keep thinking fences. Not everywhere, not all rides, but for some high danger spinning type rides? The odd bin - piled with candy floss sticks and ice cream. Really excited to see more progress. It is really achieving what you wanted with all the hidden motors
Yeah it is coming together well. I also have a few bins to fill as well. Good idea!
It's all coming together really well now! Staging all the little scenes is definitely the fun bit 😊
Time consuming but fun!
Wow. I liked all those moving rides already from the very beginning. And those paths and small scenes are now joining everything together. I'm looking forward to the density to increase. 😀 Very well done, Robin.
Thanks so much, Axel!
I think a funny detail would be that one of the passengers on the pirate ride is annoyed about the bell sound of the strongman because it’s right next to him.
That's if anyone hits it. It's quite hard now it's that tall!
@@RobinHoodBricks Maybe a kid riding the pirate ride has a stick to try to hit the bell as it passes by? ;p
The fairground is really good! It’s improving so much every video! I know this is a stretch but a haunted house would be amazing!
Believe it or not there's about five rides I wanted to add but have no space for. I could've made this twice as big!
Good job Robin 👏👍
Without the paths your minifigures will never know which way to go 🤷🤷
It makes it a little easier to see and understand as well, I think!
This is one of the coolest LEGO theme parks on RUclips. You have done such a great job on all the details and this definately motivates me to build my theme park in my city. Awesome video.
Thanks so much!
@@RobinHoodBricks All good!
Mechanized Mondays at the fairground! Looks fantastic! Agree that the dark tan top of the chair ride could be swapped for white, blue, or red etc. Also think you need some little scenes under the coaster.
Brilliant as always can’t wait to see it even more packed and stacked™️!
You bet. Me too!
Looks amazing! I think it would be a good idea to put some traffic cones or something similar around the hitch of the ticket booth trailer. Some kids could run right into it!
Remember it is run by a criminal carnie gang. I don't think they do Health & Safety!
That’s quite a lot of progress. I’ll have to watch this again when I work on my fun fair area to get some more ideas, if you don’t mind 😊
Go for it, Kim!
Wow, this is going to look as awesome as the rest of your city. Personally, these type of video's I find most rewarding to watch: seeing big project coming together.
Oh that's good to hear. I also liked the progress in this one!
Looking really packed and stacked !! Like with the deep sea cabinet, its really starting to come together! I am imagining the fair ground having more minifigures than skme people Lego coties when its done!
Yes, I think a couple of hundred minifigures, maybe, will fill it up nicely!
Wooooh!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Super great new views and angles of your fairground.
The paths are great not to straight at all, the people so far are awesome.
Monster truck looks better that way.
If you have 19 rides then I think you have 20 motors wow!!!!!!!
Can’t wait for the middle something big?
JJ
The fairground is looking splendid. It is this level of detail (with the promise of even more to come), all the different stories, interactions, and funny scenes that make it all so great. Excellent work. The overhead camerawork makes it look like some kind of drone footage advertising the event.
Agree with the idea to change the chair ride roof (again! 😂) as that will create a better contrast.
Super work - and thank you.
Thank goodness I went crazy when the motors were on clearance. I think I got about twelve. I've since bought another four or so on top of the original ones. Yes, twenty will be in the fairground. I may even have one spare!
Nice to see you got over the hump on this one. Seems like you're enjoying it again.
Yeah, the old dodgems killed it for me for a bit but I'm back, baby!
You could have a minifigure in the lake as a funny scene
There are mermaids!
@@RobinHoodBricks no, like a random person who can’t swim or something has fallen in
It's looking good. Great progress!
Much appreciated!
Looks great! Really coming together now!
Yeah, were in the home straight now!
Great job
Getting there!
I'd love to meet the incredibly talented minifig carny who managed to expertly park that monster truck burger shop amidst the gigantic roller coaster.
That man's got skills!
Looks good 👍🏻
Maybe add a few picnic tables for eating those monster burgers 🍔
Yup indeed!
Sounds like a mystery in the middle, surprising us with another ride maybe? Because 20 rides will cause more racket and noise than 19 offcourse! But it's really coming alive and together now, outstanding!
More is more so a twentieth would be rather amazing!
I love the paths! Once we got more plants and people, it’ll look fantastic! I will say that I feel like the monster burger truck is a bit lost with the white on white with the coaster, I don’t know if there is a better place or way to make it stand out a bit more, but I thought I’d mention it.
It wasn't planned. It was a bargain at Amazon and it's too huge to go anywhere in the whole city. So it's here or nowhere. Not a problem!
@@RobinHoodBricks Maybe color swapping some pieces on the roof of it or adding some additional bands of color not found on the coaster could help it show up better. Color swapping most of the white on the main body of it would work too but I don't remember what pieces it may have used on the body of the truck that are color limited. A brighter color like yellow or orange are probably the best bets as green would blend more with the grass. Maybe a neon green like on the one train or that gaming trailer would pop well enough? Maybe try some thin strips on the exposed roof studs to start? It will be tough to choose a color that will stand out from the ones around it and still look good on the truck. (Looking at you pastel pieces) ;p
Black may also work at least for contrast. Not sure how the truck itself would look with a black body. Maybe with a bright color highlight such as neon green or a monster truck style sticker on the hood or roof like it used to be a legit monster truck before being converted.
I love the monster truck! It's a bit of a shame it doesn't have a more prominent placement. But it is all looking fantastic!! Can't wait to see the next installment.
"this is a rat taco not bad" Sylvester studllone demolition-fig
I forgot about that. I haven't seen that film for a looong time!
Robin, you should build a Sideshow for your fair ground. I can only imagine what you would come up with!
A clown show may be a plan!
@@RobinHoodBricks, maybe Trump and Biden !
Dang, this is turning out SOOO well! So excited to see this keep going!!
The vision finally becomes a reality!
Wow looking great
Thanks so much!
Magic. Great to see this section of BN coming together. Super progress made. Any sneaky aliens in the fairground crowds pretending to be in costume (with the SSP following)? I look forward to the surprise addition. Cheers Robin! 👍🏻😀
Yes, I do need to add some Aliens enjoying the rat wraps and the rides!
Awesome! I just can't get enough of the fairgrounds and it's glorious sounds. Bring the noise😂!
It is quite impressive. I'm just glad it's reliable now. That's what worried me. It would be very hard to go underground for maintenance now!
On the right hand side of the Rollercoaster where you have the big grass space, you could add "The Rollercoaster Retreat". Where you have a selection of vendors with tables/stools in the middle selling ice cream, beer, hot dogs etc. Also, I'm not sure how much you need those support structures in between the so you could remove them to give yourself a bit more room.
Yeah I could use that space for a retreat. I was also thinking the tricks that the travelling fair arrived with/on!
@@RobinHoodBricks ah, a good parking area for their vans. Easier to place such big trucks without losing detail on areas that are hard to see.
This is really cool Robin. I love all these little scenes. Packed and stacked ;-)
Oh yeah. Packed and stacked, baby!
Wonderful!
Thanks!
Looking good Robin! You’re probably going to need to raise the octopus ride up again so you can get some flowers around it
They will all get scalped!
@@RobinHoodBricks That sounds like a feature, not a bug. ;p
I never even noticed the monster burger truck in the roller coaster before. Certainly looks a bit lost in there 😢
So big it's there or nowhere!
looks great Robin. it might be noisy there, but you come through fine. I suspect it's because the mic is close to you, not the motors. I think I agree with your musings- the top of the swing ride [not certain on the name] does blend a bit with the pathways. Maybe dark gray instead of dark tan? It would also free up some more plates for paths
Yeah, I'll see what I have. Not the easiest shape to do!
Wow! I knew adding paths and people was going to start tying everything together and making it look more cohesive, but I didn’t realize how much it was going to do so! Everything’s looking great so far! I’m intrigued by what your plans are for the big middle space, especially as you seemed extra mysterious with your allusions to it today. I’m not sure I’d put it past you to try something truly mad like attempting to fit the loop coaster there, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see! Great video again!
Oh wow, that's an idea. What's its footprint? That's not a bad idea. Maybe better than mine!
@@RobinHoodBricks I’m not sure on stud count. Lego’s website says 33.5 in. (85 cm) wide x 13.5 in (34 cm) deep, so it’s probably way too large. But I can easily tell the space constraints from the video.
Gotta be careful buying tickets for the roller coaster when there's a katana spinning right next to it.
No-one said it was a safe fairground. It's run by criminal carnies!
@@RobinHoodBricks When they cut corners, the danger is part of the appeal I guess. If they can make simple attractions 'thrilling' they are either doing something very right, or very wrong. ;p
YES FAIRGROUNDFMUNDAY
Haha, woop woop!
Wow! It's looking absolutely fantastic! It's amazing how all these little details really elevate it and bring it to life. Do you have any plans to add some benches or picnic tables for knackered parents to watch the rides?
Kinda, but it's not a massive priority given the space constraints. I think I bought too much!
splendid chap
Cheers, mate!
seeing as you have some cars parked near the entrance of the theme park, i think it would be a fun idea to make that grassy car park very muddy as they usually end up. perhaps have a car trying to get in or out but its sinking into the mud so some people (covered in mud) are trying to push it out!
I thought that maybe there should be a step ladder waiting to assist with the getting on & off the chair swing ride. They seem quite high for minifigs.
I think that sort of ride descends a bit at the end of the cycle to let everyone off/on!
Rotate you burger 45 degrees to the left!!;great build as always
Yeah it needs to be at a jaunty angle!
So jealous of your fairground layout lol!! It’s awesome, I could spend hours just watching the rides move 😲
I’ve only Got two rides so far 😅
The bumper cars look like they're scuttling or the magnets are struggling to move them
The cars have a curved boat tile underneath so sort of wobble when they move. It all adds to the jaunty motion effect!
I just had an Idea brick Nottingham. Bowling alley would be super cooll
No doubt. The problem there is the large footprint. I once designed one, partially, for upstairs in a modular for a better use of space. Very cramped though!
If any paths look too symetrical maybe they can be broken up with a tan stud to the side or a green stud on the path like they are wood chips or walked down turf that has some grass bits still un tread on it. The initial fill and integration of the paths and amenities looks great. I like to imagine that man is considering the fortune of his goldfish. The queesy kid probably came off of the space ship ride with all the vomit there.
This fair ground is going to look like one of those packed where's Waldo pictures. ;p For the top of the chair ride, black might work for strong contrast. Or maybe some grey or black strip plates placed kind of like spokes to break up the tan and help it look distinct from the paths? Mounting them on studs could help with the angled ones. Maybe after all the amenities are in if we have any bigger green spaces left we could add a layer of green plates to create some undulation to the turf or throw in some picnic tables. A few bits of flower pieces with and or without the flower heads on or a bush or small tree could help it look more natural too. That's more of a final pass type thing though. If you find that the edge of the water feature isn't as distinct maybe some bits of darker green on the tan or edge of the regular green could help. It could help the grass there look more wet or well watered.
For the middle edge of the pond after other things are in maybe we could do a brick built tree in the droopy style of a willow but with the palm tree pieces to create a kind of crossover look between the pirate theme of the ride and plant life in the area? The droopiness would also help keep the space it takes up low and if it angles a bit over the water could serve as a prop for something or someone hiding or peaking out from under it while not impeding the sight lines to the nearby rides. If it is built with roots reaching out maybe one could extend a bit to the path and provide a tripping hazard for a minifig to interact with while helping to tie things together.
A quick google search led me to a brick built goose that looks pretty close to scale and could provide further water side interactions, maybe chasing someone away from a nest. Alternatively a seagull might work to convey the same idea?
ruclips.net/video/o5ZLEqjA4f0/видео.html&ab_channel=WellBillt
Looking really good robin. Just remember all breakages must be paid for so no more busting the side shows. Or you'll have to eat a rat Gyros.😮😂
Yuck. I hope I don't drop anything like my ocean base!
Tremendous
Much appreciated!
Bog-Goblin. What if a Bruce Banner green face was at the puke-a-potty? Darker brown in smooth plating for spilled drink and wet areas with people with mud on them?
Not sure I follow this. Dark tan when wet could be brown and muddy? Yes, I guess so!
@@RobinHoodBricks if there is a full mini-figure head in a green that matches the puke, that would add to the scene.
Possibly my least favourite fairground Fronday, but I do appreciate you documenting and sharing all progress being made 😊
Yeah, I've got to show everything in the process!
It all looks so good, one thing I would change though is the map board. I feel like it’s kind of in the way of the paths, and it might be better for the minifigs to put the map board off to the side?
I can see what you mean. In a mall they are more likely to be multisided and in the middle of a space, but on a walking path in a park it would probably be more like you describe? But having it in the way and maybe a little 'off' in some way helps play into the sketchiness of the group running it? Like if on the double sided sign one side is a bit off kilter or something to show them cutting corners.
I'll take another look. I just need us to be able to see them as well, so they can't have their backs to us!
Can you put the loop coaster in the fairground? I think it would look really cool with the other coasters
It came out after my plans were made but it would be good. Apart from the fact that the space I have left, it's a bit big for. It'd block our view of all the smaller rides!
@@RobinHoodBricks that's true, hang it from the ceiling by string! 😂
Wow, nice Work Robin. Could you pls add a ticket office or sth as a scene, which has been damaged by one of the rides?
@11:50 food trucks in a row with customers on both sides of the trucks
That would be most realistic but the big space is destined for greatness!
Organised cayious 😂
Exactly. Very hard to film the chaos, but great in person!
This. Is. Glorious! So many amazing things all running... the pathways make it feel more real now, and loving all the figures and scenes!!
Yes, it's starting to look like my vision now, at last!
Call it fairground Fronday, that way you will never use the wrong name regardless if it's Friday or Monday 😜
Haha, yes indeed. It's a bit of an old joke now. Like me!
Wasn't there a vita rush stand that you made to go into the fairground
There is. It can go anywhere so I'll see what space I have!
What if you moved the bank and added on a food court with all the food trucks
I think I still want the variety of having all that area for city, but I'm hoping to move the bank!
Is it possible to use the pythagorean strategy to place the fairground maps triangularly?
Not without adding borders to make them six studs (so five distance centre to centre). Then 3,4,5 works. That's possible I suppose!
Ba-doyng!
Indeed!
❤
Yay!
U will also need bins
I forgot to mention the two big boobs at the dodgems!
⚠️⚠️⚠️TEAM RAR FAN WAS SECOND⚠️⚠️⚠️
Kudos!
Wow! Your fairground is about 5x times the size of my city! 😂
I'm not surprised. I have a lot of backing to help me get to this scale!
@@RobinHoodBricks yeah 😂
Hello
Yo!
the Lego hamburger truck just take it off the big chassis I did
Isn't that the fun part!

But did you enjoy the video?!
@@RobinHoodBricks yes I might join as a youtube member
