Probably to difficult but I'd love to see the train driver sticking out the window with a big stick trying to get the car out of the way. As a sort of callback to a scene from the Simpsons.
If that would be too difficult as an alternative the driver could be in the blue locomotive in front (with the long nose), not being able to see the car at all and rather happily drinking a cup of tea instead?
Mr Hood: "Let's start slowly to avoid a major incident" That car driver: "Am I a joke to you?!" Well, I think it inspired me to add something else to my city, at least a static copy of that scene... 🤣
Super funny and that’s what the man deserves when he went on the track when he shouldn’t have. 😂 I really like the technique of the build. Yay to Birthday🎉 - hope you got some Lego! JJ F
That very tiny smart car reminds me of that Simpsons episode with the really tall dude in the Beetle that Nelson makes fun of and who pantses Nelson. Also, I love the Robin Hood desk scene!
I think you could use some flame elements to help hide the cars coupler from view, making it look like sparks from the car being pushed along. it may also help the car not turning on the coupler pin.
Here’s an idea for you Robin. In the same theme of rail transportation, how about a super hero who’s chasing a baddie on top of the trams. I would have said the trains but you don’t really have the overhead clearance for that. Great moc as always.
I really loved this video! During my early college years, I drove school 😂 as my source of income. My run was for an elementary school, so my bus was a full size, and I had so many students, I was fully loaded. Every day when picking up and dropping of my students, I had to cross a train yard. There was 6 set of tracks to cross. There was about 60 feet between the number 3 and 4 tracks. In our state, we are required to stop at every track to check for oncoming trains. One morning, after picking up all my students, I got over the first 3 tracks, and when checking for oncoming train, the gates came down in front of us. As we were waiting the gates behind us came down! Here I sat in a 45 foot bus, with 50 students, stuck in between 2 trains! Many of the students were scared but I was able to calm them. We were able to continue to the school when the train in front of us cleared the crossing. As both trains had just started out of the yard, they were going quite slow with over 100 cars behind 3 locomotives(some of my students were counting the cars). Needless to say, we were let getting to the school. Thankfully a parent saw the issue and was able to contact the school in support my story. My bus director wasn't pleased but did admit I made the best of a bad situation!
Could you try adding a cow catcher to the front of the train, and clip the smart car onto that? Maybe even facing it forward, as if the impact turned it around before dragging it. To get around the length issue
I have an idea for you to try and that idea is rebuilding a locomotive that you have into a Thomas & Friends locomotive, aka Diesel the black diesel engine. It's just a thought that I had in my head for you to try yourself because I don't have the pieces to build him myself.
Really nice! A cool thing to add somewhere would be an SSP arrest scene, maybe even with the SSP ignoring an actual robbery right next to them while they arrest a dissident Love your channel and city my man
It will help if you put a few hidden cameras around the harder-to-see parts of Bricknottingham in order to get a better play-by-play of what happens without pulling all of it apart
Next train project: new lego fuel tanker for the cargo train but make it look like its on fire, might only work if it fits in your tunnels, hope it will
Happy birthday, and man, that's such a hysterical scene to watch! Also, that overhead view you did toward the end showing all the cars on the train from overhead looking down as it almost crashed into the camera was awesome!
You should leave the wheels and a few other Lego pieces at the cross showing where the train hit the car and sent parts everywhere. Use a grey round 1x1 where the head light goes and the clear 1x1 tile laying on the road where it broke.
That is absolutely brilliant - just looks fantastic and what a clever unique idea from one of your subscribers. Thank you for adding to your channel for everyone to watch!
Hi Ribin. Yet another great build. As you say your city is stacked and packed and it is. However when I’ve I see you water it looks plain. How about added a whirlpool with a sinking boat to fill up some of them studs?
I believe there is a stud on the train side coupler. You might be able to use that to create a small box around both couplers to keep them attached and prevent sliding.
Hay Robin that was fab! I have been in Nottingham City Hospital since Saturday, (got home yeasterday), would love to have a look at you hospital - Colin
I've been in there. Hope you're on the mend. That hospital has about three videos on it in my back catalogue. It's quite detailed inside with x-rays and funny scenes!
Robin, have you ever watched 007 James Bond Octopusy(?)??? If so, do you remember that circus train? That a idea, in terms of looking at? Even Dombo(?) the flying elephant, has a few trains in it (the cartoon version). So how about it? Any circus in town?
I was going to do clowns at the fairground but the ideas I have don't match the space available. Moving the clowns onto the train might be a plan. I've already got the acrobats and the elephant on board!
Happy Belated Birthday!!! This looks great, Robin. Question for you, though.... why not just attach hinge pieces to the front of the train to connect the car to? Then it would be 1 solid piece, and you shouldn't even need the wheels. It could hover just above the ground. The only part that could have some issues is rounding corners if the length of the cab is too long. I remember you had some concerns there for the green passenger train.
Looks really good, but I think there is a scale problem. Although the scale between minifigures and vehicles never quite work in Lego City, in this case it is much more obvious. Firstly, the steering wheel nearly touches the roof inside the car and the minifigure looks unproportionally large. Maybe you could lower the steering wheel somehow and use shorter legs for the minifigure..? Just my 2 cents, still a very funny scene. 👍
LEGO City cars never work at the best of times. A car with four occupants would be crazy big. As a result a car six studs long is always gonna look like a kid's play car. Oh well!
No one like s ceeing a train. Hit a car. Well if some one s stuck in the car. But this is. Like reacting it. But. Its only. In lego. And im shaw. Its a very oridganal. Build. We probly. Whant cee. I think this idea is amazing. But what if instead of being crashed into the side. Why not make it where the blue smart car was trying to show off or something and go on the tracks. The idea being the smart car got hit from behind or the front and is now what people in the usa call a high rail vehicle. In this case. The car is forced to be a high rail vehicle. This way all the wheels look broken and now riding on the same rails as the train without problems of losing balance with only 2 wheels and a moving coupler that moves every bump. All 4 wheels to keep it safe and no worrying about it flipping the train into a building in a tunnel etc etc reasons. Lol. In all honesty maybe this should be a red smart car or a other color car. So you can choose what color car vs train you want.
Great video as allways and very good idea. It's pity I can't use this in my lego city, because i don't have trains in it. And of course: happy birthday!!!🎂🎂🎉🎈
Morning Robin, Nice to see you back and again you disappeared for a week with no notification, please respect your subscribers by giving us some notice. Your channel is one of, if not the best Lego channel on RUclips so I miss you when you are not there.
Great to hear you love the channel. Maybe you missed what I said at the end of the previous video that I'd miss two and the community post on Thursday!
You could maybe find a way to use the small magnets from the bumper cars or the oilrig to attach the car to the trains coupling, maybe squeezing it into a hollow 2x2 brick or behind a thin walled panel piece held with a piece of blue tack. That would make the crash look more visceral and eliminate one axis od movement reducing the wobbliness.
I considered that but the angle is also created by this coupler. The train's magnet is fixed horizontally. Also there is zero space inside for a cavity!
This train keeps getting crazier and crazier...
Yeah it makes a right racket going around!
hey robin you should have a third smart car in red as a tribute to the 3 minis in the movie, the italian job
I already have three minis in tribute to the Italian Job. They are motoring around somewhere in the city!
Yeah, no space for that but he does have tea and the car is completely out of his eyeline so it's quite believable!
Mr Hood: "Let's start slowly to avoid a major incident"
That car driver: "Am I a joke to you?!"
Well, I think it inspired me to add something else to my city, at least a static copy of that scene... 🤣
Poor fella, haha!
I petition Robin to be in part of production of Lego Movie 3, I think it would hilarious
Where do I sign? That would be fun!
Happy birthday Robin 🎂 That was a lot more complex than I anticipated but you absolutely nailed it and its much better than I imagined! thank you
Ahhh, glad you got to see it. Thanks again!
May as well get a DeLorean being pushed by the steam engine too.
Haha, of course!
Super funny and that’s what the man deserves when he went on the track when he shouldn’t have. 😂
I really like the technique of the build.
Yay to Birthday🎉 - hope you got some Lego!
JJ F
Yup. I almost gave a warning. Kids, never pay on a railway line, haha!
Hahaha "I got hit!!!... I didn't!!".... awesome build/story
Up to the usual level of silliness!
That very tiny smart car reminds me of that Simpsons episode with the really tall dude in the Beetle that Nelson makes fun of and who pantses Nelson. Also, I love the Robin Hood desk scene!
I actually remember that Simpsons scene from aaaaages ago. Yes, identical!
You should attach the car to the actual train instead of the train pushing it
Then it wouldn't look like it was going around corners!
Absolutely awesome - you have the car at exactly the right angle, it looks ridiculous and all the better for it.
I agree. A silly angle and a bit of peril is the best for raising a smile!
I think you could use some flame elements to help hide the cars coupler from view, making it look like sparks from the car being pushed along. it may also help the car not turning on the coupler pin.
Perhaps using some of the minifig posing elements?
I'll take a look but almost every plate and brick is vital to the structure. I'm not sure there are any connection points available!
Here’s an idea for you Robin. In the same theme of rail transportation, how about a super hero who’s chasing a baddie on top of the trams. I would have said the trains but you don’t really have the overhead clearance for that. Great moc as always.
I recognize that driver: He is the executive producer of "The Clint Rage Show" on the Altrnative Information Radio!!! Conspiracy!!!! 😁
It's all the state. Bad actors!
I liked the placement of the reaper and gravestones, reminds me of some of those scare em straight trains safety videos.
It's a dangerous stretch of track!
I really loved this video! During my early college years, I drove school 😂 as my source of income. That sounds like it would work but it sounds less funny. Also I've not got a cow catcher!
I have an idea for you to try and that idea is rebuilding a locomotive that you have into a Thomas & Friends locomotive, aka Diesel the black diesel engine. It's just a thought that I had in my head for you to try yourself because I don't have the pieces to build him myself.
I never watched that show so sadly I don't share the nostalgia for it. They look like trains with odd faces on to me!
Great job
What you should do is put Jeremy Clarkson with his doubled hard hat at the the side of the level crossing or the track
That's a brilliant one, real top gear throwback =D
could the panic driver be holding a phone or coffee mug?? 📱☕ plus also maybe add spark/flame pieces underneath??
I'm not sure there's any space on any surface of that car for additional pieces. It's packed and stacked!
I can imagine this is unfunny if you're a train driver, but I'm not so I find it quite amusing!
Much appreciated!
Video idea: truck car
Nothing special about it, it’s just the car that Carries the smartcars but with a truck trailer on it.
Thanks!
I like the idea of smart CARnage on the tracks. Still waiting for a plane to fa from the sky Robin.
Yeah, me too but I'm also hoping they'll all stay up!
How funny this one, you absolutely nailed it again! Happy birthday Robin!
It was harder than it looked to get right!
Totally outdone yourself with this one, Robin. Super fun!!
Awww thanks!
Love the grim reaper on the side of the tracks i the thumb nail! Really made me laugh first time I saw him! 👻🚅
Check out the pump wagon accident video on the trains playlist for the backstory. It's very short!
Really nice! A cool thing to add somewhere would be an SSP arrest scene, maybe even with the SSP ignoring an actual robbery right next to them while they arrest a dissident
Love your channel and city my man
I keep meaning to add exactly this scene. An old lady being roughly apprehended while criminals freely operate!
Happy belated BDAY Robin! What a funny challenge, but once again you take it and run with it successfully! I love it! 😆
Thanks so much!
It will help if you put a few hidden cameras around the harder-to-see parts of Bricknottingham in order to get a better play-by-play of what happens without pulling all of it apart
One camera at a time keeps me pretty busy, haha!
@@RobinHoodBricks Alright
I love it! I knew the video was worth the wait. 😊 It is ridiculously funny to see the train push the car down the tracks. Kudos for a job well done.
Glad you enjoyed it. That took a while to film with all the developments in between!
Waiting for the day you might add a schnabel car for your magnificent long (even when its split ) cargo train
Wow I'd never even heard of that before. Looks interesting. Very interesting. But also very long!
Next train project: new lego fuel tanker for the cargo train but make it look like its on fire, might only work if it fits in your tunnels, hope it will
Fuel tankers aren't usually on fire for very long, haha!
What a (mostly) simple idea that is so superbly executed. Really funny.
If it makes you smile, I've done my job!
At the end seeing the two milk wagons made me think of two more wagons a lemonade 🍋 and a fudge wagon. Hopefully you get the joke 🤣🤣
Not one I think I'll make though!
Happy birthday, and man, that's such a hysterical scene to watch! Also, that overhead view you did toward the end showing all the cars on the train from overhead looking down as it almost crashed into the camera was awesome!
Thanks. Yeah I had to do that a few times to get it close but not hitting!
You should leave the wheels and a few other Lego pieces at the cross showing where the train hit the car and sent parts everywhere. Use a grey round 1x1 where the head light goes and the clear 1x1 tile laying on the road where it broke.
That could work!
The craziness of brick Nottingham continues 😂😂😂
Yay!
Hey Robin
Your car crash is really realistic 👍
But don’t try to crash too much because your Lego cars are too precious 😊😊
True true!
Unique idea: Make smoke using white frogs and fire on the 60098,it looked like it’s burning up!😂
That'd fall off quite quickly I reckon, haha!
Very creative as always!
Thanks so much!
Robin u should have the wreck of a car and paramedics attending the scene where the guy has been flung with the car and wrecked
Ouch, sounds painful!
That is absolutely brilliant - just looks fantastic and what a clever unique idea from one of your subscribers. Thank you for adding to your channel for everyone to watch!
Yay, thank you!
Hi Ribin. Yet another great build. As you say your city is stacked and packed and it is. However when I’ve I see you water it looks plain.
How about added a whirlpool with a sinking boat to fill up some of them studs?
I need some plain areas to put things on when making videos, haha. Maybe true though!
That’s great! What an idea. I would add flames coming out from under the car, if possible, to hide the magnet a bit
Hmmm, not sure that's possible. There's not an ounce of wasted space on that car build. Not even for a modified plate or two!
Welcome back! That's a great and very funny build!
Hey, thanks!
I believe there is a stud on the train side coupler. You might be able to use that to create a small box around both couplers to keep them attached and prevent sliding.
I considered that but we'd lose the pleasing angle and the car is already fiddly small. I'm not sure it'd work well!
Glad you managed to solve it in the end!
Yeah, took a while though!
Hay Robin that was fab! I have been in Nottingham City Hospital since Saturday, (got home yeasterday), would love to have a look at you hospital - Colin

I think that the patanted hot tea tecniuque is something that the super secret police would steal.
They probably like stickers as much as me!
the train driver needs a book or newspaper to distract him 📖, the grim reaper is watching and waiting💀
He has some tea. That keeps me occupied. It's quite good that the car is genuinely well below his eyeline!
Have you ever considered adding any trees, vegetation, or any other greenery
I've bought it all, it's just a matter of hours in the day to install it. I'm super busy!
What about adding a car transporter on the train carrying a load of motorcycles with a motorcyclist travelling with their bike
Not a bad plan!
Happy Birthday!! 🎂 hope you had a fabulous day 🙂 The city is looking great
Thank you. Sadly I was full of a cold!
Choo! Choo! Coming though!
Woop woop!
What about having the driver of the car running away from his car to avoid becoming a casualty
He'll be running soon. Probably safer where he is though!
