Great video and thank you for your service. I listened to this song and never thought about it, then I watced the video and it brought me to tears. I have a 6 year old sister and this video brings an unexplainable feeling to me when I watch it. I love her so much and I couldn't imaging losing her. I'm only a teen but I can understand a parents point of view and the deep feelings and meanings in this song.
You mentioned you are a vet in another video. Thank you for your service! My nephew was in Afghanistan as well. Dave came back wrong in the head. Luckily, we support him totally and assure him hourly if needed. There’s a song by Five Finger Death Punch called Wrong Side of Heaven. It was tough for me to hear at first. It really hasn’t gotten easier but I find myself going back to it all the time. If you’re in a good head space, give it a listen.

I interpreted "fight with folded hands" as angrily, desperately praying. Similar feeling tho, feeling as though you as an individual are powerless in a situation like this.

Im a father myself, I had similar reactions to this music video. I do appreciate the religious implications also. They don't shy away from the fact that while this father took his rightful revenge, that he was damned for doing so and was separated from the spirit of his daughter. Even knowing the consequences, I don't know any parent that wouldn't do the same thing. If you haven't already I would suggest watching the other 2 videos in this trilogy since it has a more positive ending the the fathers story. Bittersweet, but better than the cliffhanger on this video.
