it was exactly 9 years ago today (6th April 2015) when l got a phone call from Bob Young as he had heard that l was looking for a photo of his 'Apollo, Glasgow' award for the sell out concerts. He was on the phone for about 30 minutes talking about the band and the early days of writing song with them. 5 days later he emailed me the photo plus a photo of his award for the bands 13th year together. I still have the emails 🙂What a fantastic guy he is and l can't thank him enough for taking the time to call me. thanks Bob, Regards Robert (Bobby) Pool, Glasgow
I love these 2 guys😍I could listen for hours, they have so much to tell and I'm very interested to know about the work and the fun they had together ❤☺️
It would be great to see these two go out on the road something like the Talk too much tour. Maybe a few guitars and tell us how they came up with various songs.
@@Lloyd1885 You're right. I was speaking about the band not the album 🎸🎵🎸 As an old Quo fan, I couldn't make such a mistake 😉 I love this Live version : ruclips.net/video/phf0iDEfGqY/видео.htmlsi=x3jRhc189H9rXZpT 🤘
Good of Rossi and Young giving the song to Parfitt and Lancaster. Similar to Rick claiming he co-wrote Whatever You Want , when Andy Bown wrote the song completely, including the opening guitar part that Parfitt plays.
Bob Young, the ‘unofficial’ 5th member of Quo, their once tour manager and along with Rossi, Parfitt and Lancaster co-writer on many of the biggest hits as well as friends since the early days. Often joined onstage playing harmonica throughout the FF era and again on the reunion tour.
.If you study the songwriting credits on numerous Status Quo albums, you will see the names of the writers “Rossi - Young”. Well this is the “Young” part of the songwriting duo - Bob, to his mates. Bob has also played harmonics on stage with the original band and on studio tracks e.g. “Down The Dustpipe”. So now you know.

Quo were the first band me and my mate saw. October 3rd, 1973,our ears are still ringing 😅. We've aged just like Rossi and Young.
Bob Young has been with Quo since the start. Plays harmonica on stage and co wrote lots of Quo's greatest tracks

Love this conversation but it's a shame it's being drip-fed...I would like to listen to these two for hours instead of minutes.
One of my favorite Quo songs ! Never forgot my first concert with them in the Palais des Sports - Paris - 1975
Cheers from France ! 🤟
It was on the Hello album mate 👍

HEYYYYY
Who is that with Rossi? No idea and I'm a Quo fan. Sorry.

Sorry, that’s harmonica.
Wasn't he also the tour manager?
