FINALLY! A cast member who mentions that guys can relate to the Elphie/Glinda bond! Usually it's "young girls" which really bothers me... It is for everyone.
@@javedmarch4368 maybe it's different in each production. Since Wicked had a German production (and multiple other foreign productions), they probably had textbooks made in a different language for that company so I won't be surprised if some of those old props/sets are being used in various productions now.
I laughed WAY too much at this comment because I so agree with you!!! Imagine people starting a drinking game every time she repeats 'the Queen Elizabeth Theatre'.
Kara is amazing. I got the opportunity to work with her this summer when she played Cathy Seldon at Music Circus. She is honestly the kindest actress I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
She's trying to make sure they get to everything, they obviously have very limited time. I do agree it's jarring but I understand why she was doing it.
Quoting Playbill: 290 The yards of fabric used to make the skirt of Elphaba’s Wicked Witch dress. The skirt is made of 37 different fabrics. (Only about 20 fabrics are used for the bodice.) So this is probably the most expensive.
Poor Kara just looks so uncomfortable with this girl because she Is just being so rude, but she didn’t want to say anything. Look at her face 5:43 she stole a mint and took someone else’s prop😢
I find that people have no chill on you tube, read too much into the video. Kara also took out a mint not just the reporter. As you can see at the beginning of the video, it was teasing around. Please tell me if you think I'm making this up.
So lucky I wasn't props mistress at that theater (gosh, I can't remember which one it was. I don't think she mentioned it 😜). Don't. Touch. Other. People's. Props.
Literally almost everyone on broadway wears wigs even if their hair is the right colour! It’s a fast way to change the characters hairstyle backstage. Casting directors aren’t bothered with trivial details like ones hair colour. They care about your face and your talent!

iheartwicked91 In an interview with the today show, Kristin Chenoweth mentions that guys can also relate :)

I think she said it 9 times
I didn't catch what theatre this was playing at.😂😂😂
Queen Elizabeth Theatre, V, Canada. It may be renamed to honour Charles but I don't know
Fun fact: the textbooks are in Swedish so the actors don't get distracted. Lol, go Swedes!

It pleases me that they have mints dedicated to the singers who sing up people’s faces 👌
I like how she said there is a tear or two to shed and I’m over here sobbing just listening to it

This is one the best backstage videos I've seen!
Am I the only one who notices how rude the reporter is? She’s constantly interrupting her mid sentence

And now she's Glinda on Broadway!
dONT TOUCH THE PROP
if $15,000 is the third most expensive costume, what's the first?
I bet it's one of Madame Morrible's dresses, they are so incredibly detailed.
I don't know which one is the most expensive costume in the show but I could tell that Elphaba's dress cost 20,000$.

Queen eSs plus they are all custom made for every single Elphaba...Wow
Just a hunch but it seems like they’re at the Queen Elizabeth Theater.
Kara is probably thinking, "Bitch stop touching everything!" News lady thinks she can touch as she please.
Kara: it's $15,000
Host: yes I won't touch it then
Host: goes on to touch the dress with both hands multiple times
kara told her it was fine
Kara is so cute! Love her =)
I love how she just helps herself to a mint.
Crystal wand = $5,000
And the dress?
Mateo Verheij no idea on that one. I just knew the price of the wand from a Deal Or No Deal clip that Megan Hilty was in.

The dress is $15,000.
