Oh WOW 😳! I can't even find words for how beautiful that dress is! You do such amazing work! Can you tell me what patterns you use for the civil war dresses?
Good question! I wouldn't say that a civil war dress is a beginner dress to make, but I would highly recommend Laughing Moon Patterns. Their 1860s dress was the first civil war dress I made and they were so helpful in the instructions!
If you get a tailors ham holder you would be able to get that ham in all those tight spots better cause you’ll be able to shove the top of the ham in there.
This is the only civil war era dress I’ve ever seen that I would actually wear! Thank you for sharing your craftsmanship with us. ☺️
That is a real compliment, thank you! :)
Such a pleasure to watch you make this beautiful gown.

You're welcome! So glad you enjoyed it.
Incredible and so beautiful! Ah, the sound of taffeta! Gosh, you totally nailed it with those sleeves and your application of the ruffle trim! 😍
Thank you! So glad you like the trimmings :)
I love the color and the ruffles. It doesn’t look over done at all, which is sometimes the consensus when looking at mid-1800s gowns.
I can see Bernadette Banner doing the Chef's Kiss on this one.
Thank you!
Wonderful dress....Bravo!
