I am telling you about the recent experience I had being pushed in a grocery store by a man. Please check out this story. I hope you can see where I am coming from and get a better picture of how the touching is in Colombia. It is definitely something I had to get used to, even though this particular incident was different from the rest and not the norm as you will hear in the video. Wooww that guy was bad vibes, he definitely should not have touched you even if he was rushing. I think it also could have been machismo attitude that guys have down there. I think you handled it really well though! Hold your ground don't put up with that. Stay safe out there :)

Omg I’ve been in Mexico for like the past 8 months and it’s like this but I’d say like 70% don’t say anything. Even when they need to get past you they’ll just stand there and assume you see them. You’re reaction is what I’d like to have.

It might be more of a Colombia/ Bully thing. My suggestion is next time just slightly turn around and with a serious face just say ‘espacio por favor’. I was lifting weights (dumbbell curls) and this guy hits my dumbbell on accident. He didn’t say anything, so I said in Spanish, cuidado, es peligroso. Roughy translates to Be careful it can be dangerous. He responded with a hay que pena.
