While these two went win with no outline and have both admitted of not really knowing the characters story prior to joining, so they made it their own version and till this day it’s the best version
@@raidenblood6169 They're also a more convincing couple, If they had gotten together in real life, like the main cast of Once Upon Of Time and Grimm, I would have believed it. Even in that brief comeback in the Arrowverse, Erica rocks!!

Interesting to note at 3:00 Tom talks about Erica & Lois having all this energy & being someone “wonderful who [Clark] couldn’t take his eyes off of...“. Interesting b/c I don’t know if that’s what the show directors/runners/producers told Welling that ‘this is how Clark feels’ or what Welling felt about Erica/Lois character. The show was edited in such a way that you didn’t see Clark staring longingly at Lois until later seasons, but Tom talks about it like it was from the beginning of her joining the show.
I've never seen two people who aren’t married act so married. This was so much fun to watch.

When I saw Welling and Durance as Clois again 10 years after Smallville ended in that CW Arrowverse crossover, it was like watching a reincarnation of Jonathan and Martha Kent. It was eerie.

I was so glad I attended this panel because it was a lot of fun. Tom and Erica bring out the best in each other and it shows. I don't think they realize the power they hold with their compatible personalities and camaraderie it suckers you in. What a great duo. (Also, Erica is so incredibly beautiful, she's breathtaking. I'm in love)
I don’t remember having laughed as much at a panel as I did on this one. They have such a unique chemistry. It would be amazing to see them in a film together.

I laughed so much at this panel, it was so much fun didn't want it to end. Erica and Tom were so cool and down to earth. They should work together again outside of Smallville.

This panel from start to finish was amazing. Best Smallville panel I've seen so far in 2 years and it's bc of these two magnificent people- they got to be themselves without the added annoyances. Their banter and laughter really set the mood and engaged the fans. Tom and Erica have such great camaraderie and charisma their chemistry is pure brilliance. We need more Tom and Erica panels!

I was actually at this panel and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was even brave enough to be one of the people that asked a question!
I loved the sass that Tom was giving off for the whole Q and A, and Erica was just so sweet and quick to laugh.
Personally, my favorite part was at the end, with the little kid that got to ask his special question. And Erica was kind enough to give him exactly what he wanted. That moment just made my heart melt; so many stars just wouldn't care enough to take that extra second, but she did. That little boy will likely remember that for a long time.
Tom and Erica, I absolutely loved you both and I sincerely hope you do another panel together some day! You two still have all the chemistry!

you should see him an Michael Together when he does his podcast they are like brothers since the show went off the air. Rosenbaum used to drive his scooter over to his place everyday before Tom and his family moved a year or so ago. they now live on funny enough a farm
I ended up being the last photo op with the two of them, so I had a quick chance to chat through the plexiglass. They seemed surprisingly relieved when I told them that "that was the funniest fucking Q&A I've been to in a long time!" Apparently they were nervous that it wasn't interesting, and that they "were just talking about themselves too much" (which is of course WHY people want to come to these sorts of panels in the first place!).
They were so fun to listen to, and Erica was sweet enough to call the kid back at the end to ask their question. And damn if that Allison bit didn't get a hell of a crowd pop, ahaha!
i would have loved to have gone but for one i don't live there and i'm just not ready to go to any of these just yet anyways. but what can you do but Joke about Alison ya know?
I did the photo too, but I was too much a coward to say a word since it was so rushed. The Plexiglas (as necessary as it may be) made it feel a little too stiff and formal a photo op for my preference. I'm hoping for another someday when restrictions are lifted.
I did thoroughly enjoy the Q and A though; I even asked a question, so at least I had that. And now I have a video to remember it by, too!

I didn't do photo ops this year because of the plexiglass but was happy that that wasn't an issue for the table photos. Got pics with 3 gorgeous ladies - Rachel Skarsten, Emily Swallow and Erika Durance.

I can't stop watching this. It was such a beautiful and sincere panel. I've seen so many panels over the years, and so many with the Smallville cast and the vibe is just so light and fun here. I heard from so many people who were there in person and met them and they all said how incredibly sweet they were in person during the photo ops especially. You can really sense the care and respect they have between each other and to their fans.
Great chemistry. You can tell there's a strong bond there. I constantly banter with my wife aka my Lois Lane like that 😂

The fabulous, funny, intelligent feisty and gorgeous Lois Lane (oops, Erica D) and Clark (aka Tom W) absolutely nailed this series. I think it's time to binge-watch all over again.

They look and sound like they're married. He said her character is high energy I bet he's talking about her in real life. She seems like a real bombshell... I wouldn't mind being with her 💥
I've seen all the Smallville panels and this one beats every one of them, never wanted it to end. Tom looks way more playful and youthful with her than he normally does in real life. Erica is like a fine wine, it's insane. Getting older has just made her more attractive and seductive. Two thoughts after this panel: 1) Why don't the two of them do more panels together 2) Why aren't they working together. Imagine wasting away that chemistry for nothing. They're the modern day Hepburn and Tracy!
She is aging remarkably well. Lots of the Smallville ladies.

Tom is just HUMBLE. He was humble on the show and he’s humble in real life. His voice and opinion HOLDS weight. And he knows it but he still remains humble. And Erica is just perfect.
Tom and Erica together are always wholesome. They should definitely do more panels and projects together. They really bring out so much joy from each other. Their conversation and banter is always insightful, cute and fun 😊It's also great knowing that Erica and Kristin are friends (both amazing and beautiful actresses).
You know, I don't typically "care" what celebrities do with their lives... but there is just something about them! I don't know if it's the connection to Lois and Clark, or if it's that they truly seem like soulmates - I don't know! But, damnit, these are two people who should be together. They seem to make each other so happy! My motto in life is always stay close to people who feel like sunshine and I feel that exponentially between them than anyone else.

I feel you and for the most part, concur. But for the fact that they already had soulmates when they met for the show, I would wholehearted agree. It speaks volumes to the talent and professionalism of the actors. They made their relationship so relatable, real and envious. However, I must say that I believe that Erica could make us feel the same way no matter who her love interest was in any show. She's just that AWESOME!!!

The woman who asked for advice for an aspiring actress, Tom saying "Speak up!" and Erica excusing him with "It's late in the day for him, he's tired!" was either like a mom with her 3 year old, OR a cranky old man with his sweet wife excusing his behaviour. And either, to me, was just 🤣🤣🤣 Their banter is, as always, hilarious to watch.
He sounded like he had a few cocktails during lunch. From my perspective, she tried her best to keep him in line.
@@AngelikaDiana oh I don't mean anything negative by it, in fact it's not the first time the cast has goofed off like this. The 2019 con in Wales which also included Michael Rosenbaum and Laura Vandervoot had similar moments. It's all in fun, and fun to watch their ease with each other in their banter. He didn't mean anything mean by it, and she's just used to it. As someone earlier pointed out, like an old married couple.

People were bitching back in the day because he was reserved and came across as not interested and now we have him doing cons and you people are accusing him of drinking. How come no one that goes to this events, that wait in line to take pics and talk with him, have come up and say he's drunk? This is how rumors start.

Agreed! The tv shows back then had a formula trend to follow since it was geared to the teen and young adult audiences being that Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin (creators of 90210) had involvement from 2003 to 2009 as producers. The show milked the teen / young adult drama soap opera-ette with a superhero fantasy as it's theme. The writers could have been more creative with doing a better job with the "Lana" character and given her more substance and direction rather than as an object of desire and distraction (I guess that was the "direction") or how TW puts it "a block." For me, the show became tiring, burnt out after S6 and could do no more of that show because the drama of Clark & Lana (hence, it's a soap opera) played out too long for what it was worth when everyone knows they won't be together due to the Superman mythology. The powers that be for the show put in the "Lex" and "Lois" (both MR and ED were great in their roles) characters to be in Clark's life earlier to up it's potential of more drama-rama. I think the "Lana" character in the current Superman & Lois is better that how they had her in Smallville.

This show with Supernatural brought me so much joy, I'm kinda sad that he wasn't happy when he was making it. But learning about his non human schedules, it's easy to understand why. They thoroughly overworked the guy.

I find it happens, they do it for 10 years they get sick of it, it's been their whole life for so long and they just want to get over it, some of them acclimatise to their legacy and gain acceptance that its a part of their history and public identity. Then they're just cool with it

@@Ragnarok_494 Sarah Michelle Gellar was the same with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now, she’s all about posting pics in reference to it and bringing it up in interviews. She’s proud of the work she did and isn’t afraid to talk about it, but after Buffy ended in 2003, she was SO over it.

I’d be ok with a animated series of Smallville as long as they didn’t mess with Clois. Also is he hinting at it having been picked up or joking that once the writers are available they will write story for them to pitch.
They won't need with "Clois" since that is an already established relationship through the comics at this point. Also, there is a comic mini-series called "Smallville Season 11" I'm hoping they'll at least tap into. Go check it out.
i don't think they've been picked up yet cause they are still looking at different networks but when you don't have a script to show any network cause they aren't written they have the people to do the animation but you need the script to make the episodes. than they can show them the pilot and it will no doubt go from there.

Unfortunately, I just got into Smallville a few weeks ago. I'm having a blast getting to know the characters. Lois and Clark (Durance and Welling) really took the story to a new level. My first Superman was George Reeves and Lois was Noel Neill. So to see it transform to the degree that this team accomplished is astounding. In my opinion, Erica was the best Lois ever. And she is also one of my favorite female vocalists (sings like an angel).

@Kevin Stone Maybe they’re bothered that Mack tried to recruit their fellow cast members into that dark world. The actress that played Supergirl stated that Mack tried to recruit her and the actress that played Black Canary stated the same thing. It’s clear that you have a soft spot for Mack and I totally get it. I really do. I’m currently rewatching season 8 and I enjoy her work too BUT what she did and tried to do is horrific. Yes, she’s now paying for those horrific crimes. So if you can forgive her, then you can definitely forgive Erica Durance and Tom Welling’s subtle remarks. She impacted their legacy of Smallville by adding this stain forever to it. They’ve earned the right to mention what they mentioned. Again, if you can forgive Mack for her horrific crimes then you can let their comments slide.
@Kevin Stone - Ya you’re right. Allison Mack was a big part of Smallville’s legacy. She was also an even huger part of the sex cult’s legacy. She was one of the top members in fact and was responsible for recruiting a lot of the innocent gals that were brought in.
I have a daughter of my own. I can’t imagine her being recruited into that…thing. It’s horrific. I say open season on Allison.
@Kevin Stone I find your defense for her in your comments to be disturbing. You clearly see her as a victim and your comments show that subtle remarks by fellow cast mates are worse since you can’t seem to forgive them but yet you can forgive Mack.

@Kevin Stone not sticking up for your friends is worse than what Mack did? Seriously? First of all, they weren’t her friends. They were her colleagues. Second, what she did is far worse. Her victims will spend the rest of their lives dealing with the scars, both literal and figurative, that resulted from her actions. Her fellow cast mates owe her nothing. They now have to answer awkward questions about someone they worked with and a show they were proud of is now forever tarnished because of one person’s criminal behavior. It’s funny how you have more compassion for a criminal than for her victims.

Lana’s character indeed wasn’t given enough justice! There are people who don’t appreciate her because of the writers’ presentation of her in the later seasons but still a lot of people love her character like I do. Thankfully, she was portrayed by Kristin who did a fantastic job btw and made the character still admirable and relatable in a way! ❤️
Tbh arrow, flash or new shows really. Haven’t reached the consistency or the potential/bar that smallville set and still has. For me the newer shoes really dropped off around season 3/5. But smallville kept surprising us and was consistent through 10 seasons

They had the best chemistry on the show, period. You can tell how well they get along and their friendship just shines through so well. It’s no wonder that Tom’s favorite seasons are 8-10 with 10 being at the top. Those were really the best seasons, once Lana left and all the dumb clana drama was done with. He’s said how he wanted Clark and Lana to just cut ties already. I love how much he ships Clois 😌
Tom has repeatedly said that his favorite seasons are 1 and 10, including saying that he loved the pilot episode in season 1 the most. It's fine if you didn't like Clana yourself but please don't put words into Tom's mouth just because you personally don't like a ship. There would be no season 8-10 without the amazing chemistry between Tom/Clark and Kristin/Lana. Clana was a big part of why the show built such a solid fandom in the those early seasons. I enjoyed Clois too when the story shifted, but I don't feel the need to disrespect one of the foundational relationships of Smallville in Clana and the great seasons (and most watched ones) that set the whole show in motion.

I wonder if they'll adapt some ideas for that animated series from the Smallville comic books, because as far as I remember those are canon and they were pretty decent stories following the TV series.
