    Majora’s Mask is the best. It’s artistically rich, with a mysterious and dark tone that creates a perfect, weird atmosphere. It feels like a twisted reflection of Ocarina of Time, capturing that sense of eerie perfection.

    • @bigdawg12z
      @bigdawg12z 12 часов назад

      @@_VictoryGuy_all mm's intro did was have link chase skull kid and fall down a hole 😂, doesn't really give any backstory to why link is even out there other than "searching for an old friend", tears of the kingdom gives you lore behind hyrule and the zonai, then ganondorf wakes up attacks link and zelda, takes all of links hearts, breaks the master sword, has great dialogue, then upheaves hyrule castle, and zelda falls and link is saved by raurus arm, but majoras mask
      is better because link falls down a hole and turns into a deku scrub, sure...

    • @Spacejuno
      @Spacejuno 9 часов назад

      @@bigdawg12z I get where you’re coming from with wanting a rich backstory like in Tears of the Kingdom, but as someone who’s played the Souls games, I don’t always look for that kind of detailed, hand-held narrative. For me, Majora’s Mask offers something different-an abstract, surreal atmosphere that doesn’t need to explain every detail. It’s more about the unsettling tone and strange, dreamlike world than about giving you a clear backstory. This kind of storytelling leaves room for interpretation, making it a more personal and artistically immersive experience. Sometimes, the mystery itself is what makes it powerful.

    • @Spacejuno
      @Spacejuno 9 часов назад

      @@neanderthal1336 I did play the intro of Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s definitely well-made-I liked it a lot. It’s just that, at the time, I was finishing up the Souls series, having just completed Dark Souls 3 and looking forward to Sekiro. My friend lent me TOTK, but I think my mind was still in that darker, more atmospheric headspace, so TOTK didn’t capture me with the same magic.
      I do plan on finishing TOTK eventually, but I’m currently wrapping up Sekiro and then moving on to Elden Ring. When it comes to the intro, while TOTK does a good job building lore and setting up the story, I personally prefer the surreal, abstract vibe of Majora’s Mask that doesn’t rely on explicit explanations. It’s less about having a guided backstory and more about setting an unsettling, mysterious tone that leaves room for interpretation. For me, Majora’s Mask feels more artistically immersive because it allows the player to experience the world in a unique, open-ended way.

    while i don't think there ever is an objective opinion on anything, I do believe that BoTW has the best structured opening of any zelda games. It doesn't throw a lot of lore dump in your face, nor does it force you to do tideous and irrelevant tasks that drags on the time. It gives you an entire small hub world where you can do and go wherever you want, The genious is that this hub teaches you practically everything you need to know about the enitre world without spelling everything to you. that is why i love it so much
    totk has a similair structure, but it is more or so linear like old games, but the abilities are also so much more complex that it kinda is a necesity to be limiting here. However once you gain everything, the entire sky island becomes much less linear as you are capable of traversing the world

  • @seabicuit7247
    @seabicuit7247 23 часа назад +1

    Gotta go with ALTTP as number 1. An evil wizard murdered the king and captured Zelda. Zelda sends a telepathic message to Link and his Uncle. Link, watches his uncle die and takes up his Uncle’s role and sneaks into the castle to rescue the princess. Nothing really tops that.
    I didn’t overly care for it because it took too long but TP is in the top 5 just because we got to see an ordinary Link living an ordinary life.
    TOTK is tricky but I’d probably put it around 8-10. The introduction to Ganondorf and Link losing the Mastersword was cool but it basically followed the same tutorial from BOTW just swap out a plateau for sky island and a mysterious king you don’t remember for a mysterious king you don’t know. I know most Zelda’s are formulaic but the wild formula didn’t really hit with me.

      @ While I can’t deny that it could be considered the bare minimum today, why would I rate games in a series by what would be considered the expectation and preference of today’s audience when it was made for a completely different audience. That wouldn’t be a fair ranking. By that standard, TOTK would be considered the greatest entry in the series because it’s more in tune with the fads of today.
      As far as nothing was explained. The game explains it in the opening cinematic.
