I am a person who had worked for over 2 years in Canada and I had to come back. From the day I landed to this day, I have done everything I can to come back to that dream country. Me and my wife have put in a lot of hard work and effort, but sadly nothing positive came around. So when you talk about hardship, you should take into consideration that there are a lot of people who are working and doing everything they can to come to Canada or any other country, but it doesn't happen because luck doesn't fall into their hands. You guys are just lucky!

How fast you get ITA is not luck - as it is based on our score. All though How fast your paper get processed for PR after receiving ITA - Much based on the processing officer, their current work load, number of applications received, our job demand in the province, precision in our documents, zilch need for supporting documents or letter of explanations etc.

The higher it is, the higher the chances for getting an invitation for PR. And that is what Shihas was getting to - 8,7,7,7 (L, R, W, S) for different section in IELTS. From what I recall that should be CLB 9 and overall IELTS 8. This score gives the maximum points for Express Entry. And the link helps you understand the minimum IELTS points.

It was the most fun exam I had prepared for - 2 months' preparation. Used to sleep at 12am and wake up at 4am during those days, as I was in between a 9 to 5 job and was raising a baby.
