Great Video! However I think what you are saying about loans isn't accurate. Loans are not random and they are calculated. It doesn't matter where they are loaned out to all that the game takes into account is their position, current overall, age, and potential. Have you ever noticed that when you sell a player that has been in your club for a long time he gets huge overall increase (come around december) at his new club? Loans work the same way. What happens is when players are at AI controlled teams they are expected to be at a specific overall at a certain age based on their potential and position. So lets say you have 2 players. The first player is 20 years old, 60 overall, and 80 potential. The other one is 16 years old, 60 overall, and 80 potential. Now lets say you play them both for a 3 seasons, get their potential up to 95 (with dynamic potential) and both of them reach 73 overall. Then you loan them out. Player 2 being only 19 years old and 73 overall on loan the game may think "Hey player 2 should be about 76 overall by age 19 at 95 potential so we will increase him accordingly come december of when recalled." When player 1 is loaned out at 23 years old the AI club with think "Player 2 is already 23 years old and needs to reach 95 overall soon. There is a lot of catching up to do." and will give them a huge overall increase to probably 89-90 depending on position. You see this a lot if you sign the players in the youth academy that are "mispositioned" and have really low overall but really high potential. You can easily see players jump from 44 to 73 or from 75 to 98 based on their age and potential. Its quite amazing. Also if you utilize dynamic potential on young players that didn't start will very high overall. I've loaned out some hidden gems after a few seasons of dynamic potential and had increases of +20 to +25 depending on how old they are. It works best with fullbacks and wingers.
This is the high level science I crave. Also: the A trainings are obviously important, as sharpness is vital to their development, as you've stated. So if you're not playing the player, those A training sessions definitely matter!
My experience has been simming it through calendar rather than using the normal week by week advancement. I’m able to boost them by plus 7-10s per season.
I'm one of those guys that likes to play at least a bit of every game. What I've noticed is that when you do the in game Sim, everyone who doesn't score a goal gets an awful rating. Just complete dog shit, never above a 6.5. Even when you play the full game, the ratings are never very good for non-goal scorers. But if you skip to result or just sim over it, it's 8's and 9's everywhere! So stupid 🤦♂️
There's also a way to upgrade soecifict stats faster that otherwise you couldn't because they're not in your development plan... For example, in a defensive player, you can't improve shooting, but, if you put him on a plan like cam, striker, etc, you can improve those stats. Good for getting well rounded wing backs late game, had one with every stat 90+ and shooting 82
in my cases its rare for a player of mine to come back from an unsuccessful loan recently i had a goalie from Argentina (if you want a potential word class goalie i suggest Argentina as a YA scout option) Aguilar, sent him on loan to Stuttgart at 70 OVR and he came back at 79 OVR
There's something you didn't mention. If you loan a player you had in your active team they grow faster. I played a full season with a keeper from my young academy that has a 94 potential. He was 64 at first, at the end of the season he was 67 (no idea why growing defenders is harder than attackers) but now that I loaned him while he was in my active squad he's at 75 in less than half a season.
i loaned out my left back at 68 overall to werder bremen who is playing in 2nd bundesliga. Checked back in winter transfer window and he was at 75 overall. (7 point increase in 5 months) I was shocked, so I checked how well bremen was doing and they were unbeaten in their division lol. 12 wins and 3 draws. Hopefully by the time he comes back he will be over 80 hehe, his pontential prior to loan was exciting prospect and he is only 19.
@@100percentSNAFU That’s what I’m thinking. Took me two in game years to figure it out I have no idea when he got it. He was awful potential and overall tho I couldn’t get him to develop of course
I am quite ok with growing most players, except goalkeepers. No matter how good their potential, they always go down significantly in Youth Academy. Would be great to do something on GK specifically.
The fastest way to grow players is to have them on maximum form arrow pointing up and scoring goals for a whole season and avoid skipping and simulating games play as many as you can
The most important factor to grow your players are match ratings. They decide about If your player is in good form or not and in the end if the players potentiail raises or not. It's all about getting good match ratings. Form and sharpness just help to get better match ratings.
@@Eric-zy6et All players start with a match rating of 6,0. For young players it is sufficient to have an average match rating of 6,5 or better. The older a player is, the better the average matchrating needs to be to upgrade his potential. Players who do not start regularly do not get a good match rating. So yes, it does not help to increase the potential of a player if he only plays 30 min every game.
1. Players get playing time outside your league, you just can't see the stats. Check the formation the team plays and they're depth at that position before accepting the loan. 2. Your statement undervaluing playing time makes no sense. Playing time is more important than any factor because of dynamic potential. If they don't play their potential drops. Every time. It's very odd you never made this connection. 3. "Group training is almost pointless"...? Wrong. Completely, entirely wrong. The longer the video went the more your statements became inaccurate. Goodness.
Yeah the fact he never mentions dynamic potential is bizarre. Training is important because it makes it much easier to keep their form excellent when their sharpness is high. Pretty hard to get a player to have good form when the game is nerfing their stats because they have low sharpness.
If you're only trying to have fun with youth players, I just changed shot error to 0 in settings. Guarantees high ratings and good development, but it definitely ruins the competition. I do it for the first season or two until my young guys are mid 70s then go baci to normal and it's a blast.

The club was created to bring the people of the city together and provide a source of pride and unity. Over the years, FC Brugge has become one of the most successful clubs in Belgium and a formidable force in European football. Playing Style: FC Brugge plays an attractive, attacking style of football. They like to keep possession of the ball and build up play from the back. Their midfielders are technically gifted and their forwards are quick and clinical in front of goal. They place a strong emphasis on creativity and flair, which makes them a joy to watch. Transfer Philosophy: FC Brugge focuses on developing young talent from their academy, but they also scout the best players from all around the world to add to their squad. They believe in creating a balanced squad, filled with a mix of experience and youth. They are willing to spend big money to sign top talent, but only if it fits into their long-term plans for the club. Colours: Home Kit: Blue and black stripes Away Kit: Yellow and black stripes Third Kit: White with blue trim
I’ve found that sometimes LOANS are way more efficient for growth! I’ve promoted lads from the Youth Setup around 60-65 current ability and loaned them out, and sometimes literally the day the player goes on loan their Overall will go up by like 3-5 which is crazy, then it’ll creep up a little throughout the loan
Im not using development plan(except very old players) or sharpness boost with trainings for can make it more challenging. With ultimate difficulty and some sliders , its getting more competitive. By the way my striker doesnt score 50-60 goals per each season anymore or i cannot defeating big teams easily with my new promoted team. I started to have more fun also i dont have to bother with training drills at each new save.
A pattern I notice is: let’s say if a youth player is a French player loan him out to ligue 1. Basically loan youth players to a of their nationality. I don’t know if my brain been tricking me but it’s been working for me.
One thing I noticed which is super counter-intuitive is that players on loan seem to grow way more on loan to bigger clubs where they would next to no game time realistically, than they do at clubs around their level where they would probably start most games.
I see many poeple complaining about growing defenders and granting them good rating at the matches. Few tips from me: First of all you can play as single player, not as a whole team and try to score or have an assist during the game with defender. Secondly, defensive players get higher rating for successful passes rate/goals/winning the ball and their score is lower when they lose ball. Score gets significantly lower when player losing the ball is a defender than when he is an attacker. If you don't want to play as a single player but rather as a whole team, try to lose the ball by midfielders and attackers (since they are more likely to score and raise their match rating) and regain it with defenders
My question is what does the game consider to be a good average form rating for the year? 7.0? 7.5? Higher? It seems like higher ratings are harder to get this year than past years except with your main goal scorers. Good performances by defenders and goalkeepers used to regularly get 8.5 even 9.0 match ratings in the past, now you are lucky to get a 7.0 most games.
I was having the same problem, but I figured out a way to get 9.0+ ratings easily. Just play the game yourself, and if you’re winning right at the end of the game, pause and click ‘skip to result’. Players match rating will instantly jump for example from around 7.0 to 9.0+ in some cases. You can even do this after the final whistle has blown as long as you click ‘skip to result’
I bought Pedri at around the start of the season and he was doing really well scoring goals and become the assist leader. I developed him to a CAm and he ended up with a 90 rating at the end of the season ( He was starting nearly every match and subbing on if he didn’t)
I am not sure about this but i have a young player in Barcelona called Beckett,i put him in the matches in the second half when one of my main strikers is too tired. I think if he scores a lot and does a lot of passes he will grow up faster but the game time also counts. I use allways a balanced set because i don't know his best skills.
If you loan players out to foreign clubs, you wont see their stats because the squad hub (stupidly, EA need to fix it as well as improving a lot of career mode thing) only shows the stats from the domestic comps your club is in e.g. a prem club will have prem league, carabao, fa, europa league, champs league etc. but you wont see your youbngerts stat in lets say france
Maybe a video on how to "cheat" getting a high match rating for a player? If I'm playing a 55 rated CDM in a very easy cup game, what do I do with them in-game to ensure they get a good match rating?
Anyone know what average match score you need to prevent a players potential from dropping? Is it based on their potential or is like 7.5 average good enough for a “potential to be special” player?
Yeah 7.5 is ideal, but EA have a bug where your player can score a hat trick and only get like a 8.0 rating. To fix this, right before the final whistle you have to pause and sim to the result.
actually the amount they grow on loan depends on where the game engine thinks they should be say u loan out a 54 ovr n over a one year loan they grow to a 68 it is because u weren’t growing them properly and fifa noticed the player was behind in development and caught them up
i once had a czech centerback from my YA that grew really fast, like +1 overall per like 3 or 4 games, so i loaned him out. he went from 59 to 91 by the time the 2 year long loan ended
Had that happen to me with an American GK from my YA. He came to me as a 14 year old and 59 rated, so I promoted him to the senior club and loaned him out for 2 seasons to an EFL League 2 side. He came back to me as a 78 rated 16 year old. (I recalled him before the end of the 2nd season on loan) My current GK is 35 years old and retiring. So I'll have a 16/17 year old GK as my starter next season.

Do you get A grades on trainings or not? How do you use the feature to keep it more realistic? Personally, if I use Conte or managers who put a lot into preparing the players physically, I go full A. If I play as Mourinho, I don't do them at all. Any POVs?
How do you know all of these players potentials are 80? I cant see potential for players anywhere other than when theyre in the youth academy and they show a range
Can someone help me here? Once I sign a player from the youth academy (where it shows their potential) I no longer have any idea what their potentials are. It doesnt show it anywhere
Player status should read: • “Showing great potential” means they have 80-85 potential. • “An exciting prospect” means they have 86-90 potential “Has the potential to be special” means they have 91+ potential
I created a new team in career mode and I had starting players in their 60's that were first team players and having decent ratings and still stop developing at 64ovr 24yo for example, any development plan would be something like 40weeks+
Okay lets be honest if you actually played the game, the youth system is hugely flawed. Your defenders can win every tackle and get a clean sheet and still get a 6.2 rating while a cdm who had 2 shots on target can get a 8.3 rating. Game is insane
Play the full match untill like the 78 minute make sure your winning by a clear amount of goals and then quick sim rest of the match their match ratings go up a lot every player I do that every first season games and crucial games
Player potential has a few categories: at club since, showing great potential, an exciting prospect, or has potential to be special. Each label has an overall range, and they are listed in a bunch of places. You can also tell if their potential improves if you loan and recall them right away and the player's value increases or overall range label changes (example, 'an exciting prospect' comes back from loan as 'has potential to be special'). Then you know their overall has gone from 85-90, to 90+

I’m able to boost them by plus 7-10s per season.
just simulate it without doing nothing??
So when do you actually play? Because the YA cycle of great prospects is perpetual.
By active team is that the default lineup?
@@Mango92 active, means the one chosen on the second screen if you have more than one squad created.
i loaned out my left back at 68 overall to werder bremen who is playing in 2nd bundesliga. Checked back in winter transfer window and he was at 75 overall. (7 point increase in 5 months)
I was shocked, so I checked how well bremen was doing and they were unbeaten in their division lol. 12 wins and 3 draws. Hopefully by the time he comes back he will be over 80 hehe, his pontential prior to loan was exciting prospect and he is only 19.
I had a player with playmaker trait the other day and on loan he got the leadership trait. I had no idea this was possible
Never seen any player just have a trait appear like that. Maybe a glitch that worked out in your favour.
@@100percentSNAFU That’s what I’m thinking. Took me two in game years to figure it out I have no idea when he got it. He was awful potential and overall tho I couldn’t get him to develop of course
Gametime actualy has a big effect. If a player has a good game he gets a boost equivalent to about two weeks of normal training.
I am quite ok with growing most players, except goalkeepers. No matter how good their potential, they always go down significantly in Youth Academy. Would be great to do something on GK specifically.
The fastest way to grow players is to have them on maximum form arrow pointing up and scoring goals for a whole season and avoid skipping and simulating games play as many as you can
I got +10 overall once just for changing a player's position
The most important factor to grow your players are match ratings. They decide about If your player is in good form or not and in the end if the players potentiail raises or not. It's all about getting good match ratings. Form and sharpness just help to get better match ratings.
What qualifies as a good match rating? If I sub guys in for 30 minutes it's tough to get them over 7 consistently. Is that doing more harm than good?
@@Eric-zy6et
All players start with a match rating of 6,0.
For young players it is sufficient to have an average match rating of 6,5 or better. The older a player is, the better the average matchrating needs to be to upgrade his potential. Players who do not start regularly do not get a good match rating. So yes, it does not help to increase the potential of a player if he only plays 30 min every game.
The easiest way I boosted rating was changing to the quickest development plans
@@amonduciuswhat is dynamic potiental
If you're only trying to have fun with youth players, I just changed shot error to 0 in settings. Guarantees high ratings and good development, but it definitely ruins the competition. I do it for the first season or two until my young guys are mid 70s then go baci to normal and it's a blast.

i did the chatgpt career mode suggestion. Here is what is got:
Club Name: FC Brugge

That club already exist, I woud try again.
thats just club brugge lol
Try putting these words: Create a soccer team that does not exist in real life
dudes this could be club brugges rival
Thanks for your Videos. I guess I wouldn’t play CM without you.
What's your play style like on fifa? Do you string passes around like prime Barca like I did to go up a difficulty?
@@DaybreakPTagainst weaker teams slow build up and possession. Against equal or stronger teams balanced or fast build up
How do you not get the sharpness boost? Is it a mod?
A pattern I notice is: let’s say if a youth player is a French player loan him out to ligue 1. Basically loan youth players to a of their nationality. I don’t know if my brain been tricking me but it’s been working for me.
One thing I noticed which is super counter-intuitive is that players on loan seem to grow way more on loan to bigger clubs where they would next to no game time realistically, than they do at clubs around their level where they would probably start most games.
I guess better training facilities is the games copium 😂😂
Did you score that goal in the end? Why did you end it in that perfect situation 😭
or just stick your wingers on the opposite wing training plan and they'll grow a shit ton
Great tutorial buddy 👍🏼..
It was clear concise digestible to understand the core concepts.
I see many poeple complaining about growing defenders and granting them good rating at the matches. Few tips from me:
First of all you can play as single player, not as a whole team and try to score or have an assist during the game with defender.
Play on a harder difficulty. The AI will start pressing more putting your defenders and DMs to use
I bought Pedri at around the start of the season and he was doing really well scoring goals and become the assist leader.
I developed him to a CAm and he ended up with a 90 rating at the end of the season ( He was starting nearly every match and subbing on if he didn’t)
Geografifa, i’m the guy that can’t play on the same career mode for more than 1 session, then i find a new “fun” idea and then it repeats itself.
I always train an LM as RM, RWB as LWB etc. Then u can without doing much, train them 10+
I scouted a wonderkid on my youth acaademy and immediately when he went on loan, his overall increased by 6.
If a player has straight lines next to their stats rather than upwards arrows does that mean they have reached their potential and can’t grow anymore
Maybe a video on how to "cheat" getting a high match rating for a player? If I'm playing a 55 rated CDM in a very easy cup game, what do I do with them in-game to ensure they get a good match rating?
Score
Anyone know what average match score you need to prevent a players potential from dropping? Is it based on their potential or is like 7.5 average good enough for a “potential to be special” player?
Yeah 7.5 is ideal, but EA have a bug where your player can score a hat trick and only get like a 8.0 rating. To fix this, right before the final whistle you have to pause and sim to the result.
do you need to pick the fastest development plan or not
I always use your tips to better my team.
i train my full backs as another full back position, like my LB as a RB and i dont change their positions
actually the amount they grow on loan depends on where the game engine thinks they should be say u loan out a 54 ovr n over a one year loan they grow to a 68 it is because u weren’t growing them properly and fifa noticed the player was behind in development and caught them up
The only thing that matters is that they are performing well so their potential dosen’t drop
i once had a czech centerback from my YA that grew really fast, like +1 overall per like 3 or 4 games, so i loaned him out. he went from 59 to 91 by the time the 2 year long loan ended
@@KMartin1311you physically can’t do that why lie😂😂😂
@@sambland577 some people right haha :D I had one player with 21 rating and was 12 years old at my youth academy. so I loaned him to real madrid and in one season he was 91 overall and 27 years old hahaha :D
Loaned them out! 10+ on players with high potential
players younger than 25 improve way too fast, it’s too unrealistic. i hate player with good players and by the end of the season they’re nearly 90 and one of the best in the world, it’s too fake
Does form decline if players stay on the bench after one excellent performance?
Just another thing EA could easily put in but they don't because they don't care, seeing how a loan is going is so simple like why isn't it in there
Do you get A grades on trainings or not? How do you use the feature to keep it more realistic?
Personally, if I use Conte or managers who put a lot into preparing the players physically, I go full A. If I play as Mourinho, I don't do them at all. Any POVs?
I usually simulate training I've never used a real manager tho
Game time only improves form, this is a revelation
I loaned a 54 player cuz he was going to leave Youth Academy and the lad already grow 7 rates in half season
95ovr 23 yr old musiala insane
I sold one of my starting midfielders to Bayern Munich at the start of my first season and now he’s 92 rated 😭😭😭😭
How do you check someones potential multiple seasons in on Sofifa you can only do it for the first season
Hi, what camera settings you have in this video?
game time impacts with a player that is on a good team. other players form affect them as well.
What are your in-game camera settings?
First thing I see is Jay wtf, we played at the same club as a kid that's wild
How do you know all of these players potentials are 80? I cant see potential for players anywhere other than when theyre in the youth academy and they show a range
Can someone help me here? Once I sign a player from the youth academy (where it shows their potential) I no longer have any idea what their potentials are. It doesnt show it anywhere
Player status should read:
• “Showing great potential” means they have 80-85 potential.
• “An exciting prospect” means they have 86-90 potential
“Has the potential to be special” means they have 91+ potential
@@rorisxng Thanks my guy
If you loan them they will play... You just can't see that bc you don't play in the same league... And Fifa doesn't show you other leagues statistics.
I have a lb but I can’t get his shooting go on development plan
Wait, did you just tell me that I don't have to get A ratings on the training drills?!

How do you stop youth player downgrade bug after the season ends
why my players grow so slow? over a season I think they grow around 2 overall per season
I created a new team in career mode and I had starting players in their 60's that were first team players and having decent ratings and still stop developing at 64ovr 24yo for example, any development plan would be something like 40weeks+
That means they reached their potential and they can't go much higher than that.
You should sell them and replace them with higher potential players.
well that was as clear as mud , wtf ,, slow down padre ,,, I just want to play the game !!!
Completely disagree. I’ve played dozens of seasons in fifa 23. Group training is definitely NOT useless. It keeps them sharp and in better form.
Okay lets be honest if you actually played the game, the youth system is hugely flawed. Your defenders can win every tackle and get a clean sheet and still get a 6.2 rating while a cdm who had 2 shots on target can get a 8.3 rating. Game is insane
Play the full match untill like the 78 minute make sure your winning by a clear amount of goals and then quick sim rest of the match their match ratings go up a lot every player I do that every first season games and crucial games
how do i see the potential? i can only see it before signing for the senior squad
How do you see a player’s potential? Around 2:00 minute mark -He’s talking about how player’s potential might go up or down but how do we see that?
Player potential has a few categories: at club since, showing great potential, an exciting prospect, or has potential to be special. Each label has an overall range, and they are listed in a bunch of places. You can also tell if their potential improves if you loan and recall them right away and the player's value increases or overall range label changes (example, 'an exciting prospect' comes back from loan as 'has potential to be special'). Then you know their overall has gone from 85-90, to 90+
I realized that putting young players on loan decreases their potential by Alot
