Thank you for listening and reacting to this song. Johnny Cash was a Christian who admired St. Paul. This song is taken from the pages of Acts 9. Johnny Cash along with writing and recording this song wrote a novel of the same name. “Man in White”.
I liked your reaction. Johnny Cash was a favourite of my mother and I still listen to him. This isn’t one of my favourites. I Walk the Line, and Ring of Fire are 2 of my favourites. His final song was a cover of Hurt (Nine Inch Nails). He recorded it a few months before his death and a few months after his wife passed away. It is a VERY powerful performance!
I grew up hearing Johnny Cash and still like him very much. Most of his songs are not religious I Walk the Line is a good start. His most recent (and last song before he died) is a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ Hurt. It’s very powerful. His wife of many years passed away a few months before recording this and he died died a few months after recording this It’s not world music but an awesome group is The Traveling Wilbury’s. The members of the band were all in different famous groups before this: Bob Dylan George Harrison Tom Petty Jeff Lynne Roy Orbison I love Handle With Care. Roy Orbison passed away not long after recording this. Sadly, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are now the only living members
When are you going to check out Janis Joplin's "Ball and Chain Live at Monterrey Pop"? That's the one that gives you the Janis Joplin EXPERIENCE. You haven't seen anything at all until you've seen that.
I remember a quote a long while ago:
"There's a God shaped hole right next to everyone's soul"
