It makes sense that this season's weapon is arc, but every season weapon since Witch Queen has been arc (Grand Overture and Trespasser). I wonder why we didn't get a void or solar weapon the previous seasons?
This is gonna be fucking insane when paired with Electrostatic Mind (kills on arc-debuffed enemies spawn ionic traces; become amplified when picking them up) and Spark of Beacons (arc special weapon kills while amplified create blinding novas)
It’s actually really good with the fragment where killing with an arc special weapon creates an explosion and blinds nearby targets, also ionic trace with the stag is amazing…with the right well mods well….you could theoretically always have your ability’s up and just destroy mostly everything.
this has an extremely good play loop with one of the new artifact mods that makes it so when you kill an arc debuffed enemy, it spawns an ionic trace. when you pick up that ionic trace, DT gets an overcharged jolting shot. Now you see where im going with this. Crazy fast ability recharge and crazy good ad clear as well.
Plug one with reservoir burst will probably get the same job done with the locked fragment, meaning you'll have an exotic slot open for another weapon.
@@Lenonade123 if I'm understanding right couldn't you hipfire the jolt inflicting shot then hip fire again to proc the jolt splash damage multiple times at once? Sounds pretty good for ad clear to me
I know I'm late to the party but the warlock aspects "Electrostatic Mind" and "Arc Soul" paired with the fragments "Spark of Discharge" and "Spark of Ions" AND using the Delicate Tomb... it sure is something, the Arc Soul starts generating Ionic Traces thanks to Electrostatic Mind, after you get the Ionic Trace, it practically gives you three benefits: 1. Ability Energy 2. The Delicate Tomb perk Tempest Cascade 3. Faster Arc Soul fire rate. Basically: Activate a rift, let your Arc Buddy get the first kill, Shoot everyone you see, repeat(until you're out of Delicate Tomb ammo, Arc Buddy dissipates, and timer for your rift actually matters)
Tried this with my warlock and it is insane! My Regen build was already insane before with my arc turret but now this thing chains lightning! Need to experiment more with this thing. OH THE BUILDS I SHALL CRAFT! I swear ever since I figured out my current build I felt like a fucking mad scientist

It is irritating me that so far I haven't seen a perk like iridescent. It feels like a lot of work to jolt things outside of grenades and.... yeah i don't know... it feels like this weapon's exotic perk should just be an available perk...

I accidently find out that hunters with gemini jester are going to be quite effective this season with the blind debuff explosion from shard and the melee aspect ! Try it out if wich to have a fun time blasting by unlimited blinded enemies x)
Is step 2 of the catalyst bugged for anyone else? I've used it and gotten kills in over 20 combined matches of strikes/gambit/ crucible and only have 6 out of 200 calibration data.

It is pretty good, that is the build I have been using. The only problem is that you cannot really heal, and healing rifts are kinda obsolete now

I have a feeling coldheart will be slept on, it can also generate ionic traces when killing targets and works great with arc builds.
i feel like trace rifles aren’t as useful for dealing damage as a fusion. idk just my opinion but the feel like primarys
It’s problem is it doesn’t do anything with the traces. If it reloaded a portion of its mag when you collect traces that would make it too tier

This + the sliding over ammo reloads weapons fragment just gonna make flying thru strikes n low level nightfalls quicktime
This weapon jolting targets counts the same as conduction tines with crown of tempest for all you warlocks out there
So basically works just like a regular fusion rifle with reservoir burst.

You're better off with Trinity Ghoul or RIskrunner in that slot if you have the catalysts.

Btw this gun opens up hybrid builds because you can create and collect ionic traces as different subclass, been messing around with void/arc build

As the season pass gets leveled catalyst boosters get unlocked makes it easier to do a bit later
