- It was a week of waiting and watching for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite having two losses on their resume, many felt the Tide deserved to squeak into that final 4th Playoff spot. Alabama shows up to the boarding of the Playoff plane but can't seem to get past the gate.

I was hoping that the riots would come down the jetway, Alabama grinning as the gate agent looks scared, and then they would pick him up as he screams "wait! No. I deserve it! I'm Alabama!" and carry him away screaming to the Sugar Bowl.

To be fair, the refs in that Tennessee game took five minutes to learn how to count to four. They actually had to go through a long review process to make sure it was fourth down. And that wasn’t even close to being their worst moment that game.

I don’t think that tops forgetting how to count to four, but the same one that dropped 17 flags on bama got suspended earlier for calling a really bad auburn Arkansas game. Bad enough to get suspended. The head official for that crew is an auburn fan and it showed then and it’s showed other times as well.
It’s nice that the Sugar Bowl is played on the same day as the CFP semis so Bama won’t feel so left out of the playoffs.

@@88musrat I am just talking as a witness, not a fan of either team. In the SEC championship game, UGA got boat raced. In the NC, UGA won a close game. It was a one score game when the interception happened.
@@88musrat Of course the NC win is bigger but it was not a blowout, it was a one score game with 3:27 left in the game. The SEC title game was over just after halftime and not in doubt. Georgia fans seem to have thin skin when it comes to talking about the SEC title game and would like to just ignore it!

As an Auburn fan, it brings me so much joy that Alabama saw everything they thought needed to happen for their playoff appearance come true and then watch as they get denied. Still would’ve preferred us to win the Iron Bowl, but I’ll take them still not going to the Playoffs.

SEC Shorts. After more than 40 years of watching college football as an Alabama fan, I don't like the path College Football has taken. It's nothing but offensive shootouts, replays and more commercials than actual gameplay. Now, as if that wasn't bad enough to watch, they're about to extend the playoff making the regular season less relevant and guaranteeing Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and Ohio State a spot every single season. I've lost a lot of interest the last few years in College football and I'm afraid that might ruin it for me even more.
As a Bama fan I hate it that we are now the butt of the jokes that used to be Tennessee jokes. All that is missing is a visit by Hope.

I got to make two trips to Nawlins when I was a member of the Pride of the Southland. (Once to play at LSU, and one Sugar Bowl.) Some of the best times I can't quite remember!! 🤣

They do a few times mention schools from other conferences getting into the playoffs in past seasons. They probably didn’t think it would work for this skit.
There was too much material just from the SEC.
You guys will have an extra week to mend and strategize, but it will not matter. DAWGS will still win. Still, is is unfair. Your team and Bama should have had to play to see which team got into the playoffs. Then, the team not being in a championship game wouldn't have any advantage given them. Fair is fair.

Georgia’s D-line would destroy Bama’s o-line this year. That’s was the weak link going in and never got fixed. Young was running for his life most of the season. BY was pretty good this year considering what he had to work with. We’ve come to take for granted two 1st round WRs on the roster every year.
