Yeah, I have a snowmobile and a four-wheeler, but my fishing partner doesn't - I keep telling him to get one, that's my fear is it won't start and I'm stuck on a pond with no way of getting it back!

Great video. Made me think about times ice fishing with an old friend years ago. Haven’t seen him in a while. You definitely had better luck than we ever did. Used to go out in Gilmington, NH and when we were in school, up in the Adirondacks. Thanks for the memories.

What do you use for the pad on your cot? I haven’t found one that is as wide as my cot yet. I don’t like when it is much narrower.

I thought this was solo camping who is that standing in front of you, the fish are crappie but the fishing isn't, haha i thought those flip overs where small that's why I don't care for them how in the world can you sleep in it, how big are they this coming from a person who just bought a new otter vortex pro resort today, 103 sqft. How many sqft , do you know?
The other person is my father in law. He came out for an hour to see what was going on. lol the Resort Pro that I have is massive. That’s what I’m using in the video.

Great video , it’s amazing these flip ups didn’t come with grommets . I had to add them on mine as well . Other brands also don’t have them sometimes. I been out where the whole thing is blowing away . Do yourself a favor and get a drill adaptor for the ice tie downs

Good call on the grommets, had to do the same with my Otter. Got caught in a couple of nasty squalls last season.

Watching you try to start that anchor screw made me think, last weekend I was out with my Eskimo and it was HELLA windy, so I go to put a screw in the corner and I could NOT get it to bite. The ice was so hard it absolutely would not go in. Was not fun spending 15 minutes fighting with it. And that was the FIRST one! So, since Im using the 20v brushless auger, I now carry a drill bit to start those holes for me. WAY quicker and easier.

Why don't the JT jig rods have reel seat? Seems like a weird design to have to strap the reel on to the rod. I'm super jealous of that flip over shack set up.
Makes ice rods too clunky feeling when you have a reel seat. That’s how a lot of ice rods are.. especially really light panfish rods.

My first sled purchase so I'd be interested in hearing about your decisions on your sled choice. I'll be using it primarily for fishing and since I don't really know much about them, it'd be nice to hear your thoughts. Not many youtube videos on sled choice for ice fishing.
and by the way, ordered a few spoons and spinners from you recently for spring trout here in MA. Super nice job on those spoons. The paint job and clearcoat are amazing.

What in-line reel were you using?
I think it’s linked in description. Clam spooler elite. I’m now using a Piscifun reel that’s awesome!
You use ethanol free gas in the tank? And a fuel conditioner at all? I'm no expert at snowmobiles. But I'm religious about staying away from ethanol when I can.
No, but I used an ethanol treatment in the gas.
The place that I bought my ATV from recommended that I use regular 87 with 10% ethanol in the winter. He said that the non oxygenated premium doesn't like the cold as much.
How many bass swallow your hooks?
Maybe half, I can usually get them out. If not, it just cut the line as close to the hook as I can.
What Sunglasses are they mate?
Walmart special! Mike Ike glasses. I never use good once ice fishing I always destroy them.
