I was listening live when this went down and man oh man was this a great fucking call. Guy wasn't even phased when he got on the horn, just started his takes. Man was fucking brilliant. I want some Omaha Steaks now.
Me too. Might’ve been one of if not the greatest calls ever when you consider the degree of difficulty. The fact that he didn’t get hung up on when Rome realized he wasn’t ready for the call. His sales pitch was solid enough that Rome had to stay on the line. Then he finally answers it after asking the customer to hold his phone for a second. He finally picks it up and tried to go into his take but Rome makes some answer some questions. He makes Rome laugh then gathers himself and delivers a pretty damn good take. Maybe the greatest call in history just based on degree of difficulty for overall performance.
Yo, just watched the George in Tampa vid, good stuff! Speaking of sales calls, have you ever used Mystrika for outbound lead gen? It is legit mind blowing. The sales just roll in since I started using it.
These were the days listening to the Jungle at work and obviously getting paid to laugh my ass off to the jungle at work. Rome's actually still pretty cool a friend of mine got me watching his simulcast/tv show again.
i sold meet and george used the classic i got an extra one my customer couldnt fit it in her freezer! and the 50 lb carrot is classic too! i used to make great money selling meat!
Seems like one of those gambles that either gets you fired or promoted, either a really good or Really bad outcome, I hope he got kudos for this since Rome advertised for em for free
@@spankynater4242 I hadn’t considered that possibility. Now that I’m thinking about this call again, it makes me wonder what George is up to these days
@@woodyburns dude, you responded to a 10-year-old post, that is epic as they would say in the jungle. Up until now, my previous record was an eight-year-old post that I got a response from. War wait to hang in there
Been listening to this guy for 20 years. stays fresh throughout the years. workday would be unbearable without him. long live mr rome

Fantastic transition between sales George to clone George
I got a 50lb carrot for ya😂😂
I have no problem claiming this is the best call ever.
I agree based on the degree of difficulty and just adaptability, the ability to transition. He’s a five tool player
George managed to pull himself together and finish the take after Rome told him the whole sales pitch had been heard on the air...Impressive!
There is no way George is not a millionaire now in 2024. Winner.
Glengarry Glen Ross.
Coffee is for closers!

I miss Romey. He's so freaking funny.
I remember hearing this live! Man this show made my day!

He sounds like an independent salesman.
