After watching this video, I decided to go for paper-based test. Dont want to waste time on scrolling up and down or missing a question because Idid not scroll down. Also need to take into account how fluent the keyboard is and whether the keys are stuck.
Idk. I still not sure. The only reason why i would like a computer based test is a writing part. I type much faster than i write. And u can fix your text easy without erasing your pencil draws. But in case of listening and reading is more comfortable to take on paper since u can underline key words, see all questions all the way. Hard deсision...
For me the important thing in paper based test is the possibility to make some marks on paper during listening, it really helps a looot + you can start reviewing the next more difficult questions as soon as the easy ones at the beginning sections are finished. If they give you a paper, but the answers should be transferred to the computer - then it's okay. If there is no paper on hands when you can see any question at any time - then paper based.
They do give you a paper to take notes also un the computer based, from the research I've done, and they take it and give you a new one in every section so you don't get to write vocabulary to copy for the next section. I'm also thinking about this option, even though I'll have no practise on the computer test ☹️

It’s the same question I wanted to ask
The answers are checked by examiners in both cases.
Hi, in computer-based Listening and Reading parts, can we answer in capital letters? Or will this affect our scores?
it doesnt matter in computer based..
Hello
Thanks for the information
Does the typing of others affect concentration during writing in Computer based exam?
Hi Asia. I am preparing to appear for computer-based GT exam in a month. Do you know whether we have to continue writing with Capital letters in Reading section, if we have been doing so in the Listening part ?
Thank you in advance!
What did you? Put all your answers in capitals?
Dear asiya thank you so much for the free content for us, really useful information. we hope you will continue. Thank you Again.

Hi Asiya, where can I find more practice test for a computer-based exam I'm new to IELTS general test and while practicing I only get 22-25/40 in listening

Thank you for the video. I changed my mind from paper-based to computer-based after watching it :)

@@hafidzaynn2335 pretty good, I managed to strike my goal score. And I am happy I picked computer-based.
@Satyam Aneja 8.0 overall score with L8.5 R8.5 W6.5 S7.5
@@dpashutskii Is it hard, did you go to review center
@@nadz1015 Not sure what's review center is.
Do i get some time before every section starts?
Yes
Thank you for your valuable suggestions. But when I went to the IDP website and practice computer based test where I found that during the listening exam the audios were also available for multiple time. Is it also available in the real exam?
Unfortunately no :/
Very useful again. Thanks!
What are the test centers which do not provide earphones in paper based exams, I feel every center provides the same?
I had just one query in listening test if there is a blank for writing a name of a person or shall we pay attention to capitalising the first letter ? Or shall it be typed in small letters
Hey Mam, Thank you for the video.
My question is: Some test centers provide headphones for the Listening section on a paper-based test. How could I find it?
Hi! The only way to find out is to give them a call
Thank you. It's very clear instruction...
Thanks so much for the tips you gave. But I have an extra question about the reading part, is it possible to use the Ctry+ F to search for some keywords in the text? Thanks again
Unfortunately find or search function is not available in the exam.
Does F3 work?
Madam? The link you gave for practice, there I found only 26 Questions in Listening test.
Shouldn't there be 40 questions????
mam please make video on process and map task 1
Extremely informative video. Thank you
Hi, What is this test for? Thanks.
In Reading, are you allowed alternative answers or only what the computer sees fit to be the correct answer? I know in the paper based exam, there are a number of alternative answers that are accepted. Can you address this?
It's the same in the computer-based test
in reading alternative answers are never and ever and ever accepted. You must use the exact word or words from the reading passage only. Exact same word or words is only accepted
If you hover over the timer, the format will be changed to minutes:seconds.
For IELTS academic 2021
Which test based is better?
Paper based or CBT?
Can someone who has given computerised ielts exam tell me the approx time that we get to check the answer after each section in listening test?
The information was very useful!
Do we get notes for computer based?
I have given the exam and they do give notes. However, it was not handy as mostly we tend to type all the answers immediately into the computer.
BlackBeard how did your test go?
Добрай день, Ася. Скажите пожалуйста где вы проходили компьютерный тест в лондоне и как узнать какие тест центры простые, а какие компьютеризированные?
Thank you Asiya. Computer based test has definitely helped me improve my writing and reading speed. I had given IELTS paper based two years back and gave computer based last week. Improved reading score to 7.5 from 6.5.
is computer based better than paper based?
It depends actually person to person. If you are very much comfortable using computers then go for computer based test. I am all the time on laptops which is why i chose computer based test. In computer based test it improved answering reading task questions and my reading speed, it helped me in writing task due to automatic word count and also improved my listening task from 7.5 to 8.5 because i answered immediately after listening and did not wait till last to note down answers.
i have a friend who does not have access to paper based ielts. but he has a low typing speed. is it possible to write down the answers manually in a computer based IELTS??
@@tamalbhattacharya3205 could you tell how...bcz I have only option to give computer based...But I think it is difficult in listening module..bcz of last extra 10 mins given to transfer the answers
